This channel is quickly becoming a favorite of mine for Heresy content, I just told my friends about your channel and encouraged them to check out the videos too! Thank you for the hobby inspiration
Thank you. Im purposefully keeping it about the hobby first and foremost - this will never be a personality driven youtube page or have any click bait driven videos or thumbnails.
its one of the cool parts of Word Bearers. I was really pleased with how the black geometric shapes on the shoulder pads work behind the legion and chapter icons. they look really good.
Such an efficient army paint it makes me cry 😂 I am too picky with mould line to paint on the sprue, but your overall impression when painted is awe inspiring! Keep up these great videos. 👍
I've been starved for this quality of HH content. There's something special about seeing somebody else's dudes, as well as the process behind it. I've been meaning to try my hand at making content like this; if anything to prod me to paint, but also serve as an inspiration to others like you have. Excited to see this channel grow!
my advice is just start making content if you want to do it. I feel like I waited a few years too long to get the channel going. I feel like im 5 years behind the ball.
Your painting process is cracked out, and I wouldn't of believed it if I didn't see it. After seeing it though, and how well it worked, I love it. Great work bro.
its a bit different but it is effective. painting large armies is a commitment and having a simple and repeatable process can be the difference between success or failure.
it greatly helps my workflow on the painting guides. I cant stress how much work these videos are. adding in having to record / mix my VO and work on performance takes would just add a ton of time and not add a lot of value. Real voices will be present in the live action stuff like battle reports
Least favorite Legion, (F Erebus lol) but I do like their aesthetic and heraldry. Good stuff Brutha. Your channel is inspiring me to get back into finishing my armies.
I thought the same initially, but its far easier listening than a very heavy accent or broken english. The video quality speaks for itself and makes up for it imo.
Im sort of on the fence about it - its mostly due to work flow and just how much more time recording and mixing VO would take. These videos are heavily edited as is. The battle reports are live action and will have more actual voices and things in them but will have an AI narrator (british accent)
@@user-cs7bb6tj7h yea the tonal pronunciation is off where it speaks words in one breath no human would speak in one breath, it's a good ai, granted but it's off-putting enough that it makes me feel kinda uncomfortable to listen to it
Can't wait for your take on Ultramarines, which are my heresy force. I used Visions of Darkness from back in the day as inspiration and weirdly use Cygnar Base Blue from p3 as the armor color with some blue ink mixed in.
I appreciate the encouragement. I copied this response from above. You guys are pressuring me to add real VO - " Right now its largely about work flow. The added layer of recording and mixing VO would add a lot of time and disrupt my ability to roll videos out this quickly. I can't stress how much more complicated my workflow is on these videos vs the typical over the head shot 60 minute painting videos that are more common in our space. Each video has hundreds of shots and a thousand plus edits. I have to make all this and paint. Once i get some more videos that in the works out and can slow my releases to once a week, I can look into getting an audio recording set up and can do my own VO."
Fun fact in one of the post heresy books there's basically a joke on how the dark council keeps debating which of the 100s of shades of red are legal and no one follows them.
Love your content, thank you! The AI voice can be improved though as have been mentioned already. I subscribed and look out for more tutorials and battle reports.
Ill eventually get to Ultramarines but they are a ways out. When Horus Heresy 2.0 launched, i painted a ton of Ultramarines. Id love to revisit them now that GW has released more kits. I really want to do some Ultramarines MK3 marines as the MK6 lack the defining gold trim.
Still finishing some scenery for the first battle report. The first one is an apex mission that requires some specific terrain. So working on the table and making a BTS video of the build. Think everyone will appreciate it. Hopefully the first battle report drops soon after the table being done. The other battle reports require less specific terrain that is already done.
Your channel would be 100x better if you used your real voice instead of the AI one. You are an incredibly talented painter, and if you have a stutter or a speech impediment, or even if you just think your voice is annoying, I promise you that it does not matter to us. We all want to hear your thoughts and ideas from your own mouth as opposed to the frankly offputting AI voice over. Give it a shot! I've found the warhammer community to be pretty welcoming! Can't hurt!
I appreciate the encouragement. Right now its largely about work flow. The added layer of recording and mixing VO would add a lot of time and disrupt my ability to roll videos out this quickly. I can't stress how much more complicated my workflow is on these videos vs the typical over the head shot 60 minute painting videos that are more common in our space. Ai vo can be a little hit or miss with people. I have gotten a lot of positive responses on it as well. I cant stress how much time goes into these videos. Painting miniatures themselves takes a lot of time, but add in writing, filming, editing, Animation, music searches, etc etc - It takes a tremendous amount of effort. Adding in my own VO would add recording, mixing and open the can of worms of me having to do performance takes - it would entirely disrupt my ability to drop painting guides regularly - I'm a new channel and my payment for creating content is really only in the joy of it.
@@heresyera no I get it. I have sunk hundreds of hours into creating things that no one will ever see due to how the algorithm works, so I understand doing what you can on a one man team. It's just I hadn't heard anyone using AI for voice acting. Video editing is a lot more of a pain in the ass for me. I can endlessly ramble about the stuff I make
issue with me recording my voice is that these are heavily edited videos. probably 500 shots and 1000 cuts in this video. If i use my voice, i have to record, mix, and do multiple takes for performance - it adds a lot more work for little value in these videos. I cant stress how much effort these videos take as is and my goal currently is to keep things as streamline as possible with the painting guides to get as many as I can out.
Hi love your videos ❤ KitbashCarnage hear at the age of 31 iv recently got back into the warhammer/kitbashing community agen after taking 15year brake to pay bills and so on . I have taken the leap head on and started a youtube channel along with Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. It's hard with this algorithm thing is somthing to get used to along with editing and so on but my love and the flame for my lost passion has been reignited more then ever and dont plan on stopping soon . Along with having lots of content plans and already in the pipeline and also a Revamp to all social media with new header picture and profile picture from a digital contractor I sorced I hope to just gain more traction to the community iv came back to 🔥 Regards KitbashCarnage
yeah man, its hard starting out on RU-vid. I've been in warhammer 40k for 29 years and heresy for 10. Been mostly just a casual instagram page. I flirted with the idea of a RU-vid like 5 years ago and made some stuff for an istvaan campaign but never published it. A month or so ago, I stumbled on Minisodes RU-vid page and watched all of his content. The armageddon campaign he has is soooo good. He perfectly captures 2nd edition. Even his graphics, music and art is all period correct feeling and very reminiscent of console games of the era. Watching his stuff made me ask: why no one was doing something similar to The Horus Heresy? Its what pushed me to finally make and publish content. Highly recommend you check out Minisodes on RU-vid if you have not. Keep up the work - you have a good content roll out already.
