Your vlogs are getting me to think about starting to learn to draw/paint. I used to do it at school at around below 16 or so but then I never pursued it cos of low confidence reasons. I’ve just saved a bunch of beginner videos to have a look at and see where it takes me. It’s just gonna be a hobby for now so I’m not gonna take it super seriously but I am a visual person so it would be nice to see how I progress with it. Thanks for the motivation! (I don’t mean to imply that your life is perfect or that you don’t have your own struggles + hardships like we all do, because that would just be silly and insensitive. I just mean that you are totally killin it and I aspire to sell my art and share my life online, but I’ve been stuck in “analysis paralysis” - AKA over-thinking /over-planning/wanting everything to be perfect before I start sharing with the world, LOL) You are so lovely so watch; I enjoy watching the way your artistic talent and your charming personality align in such delightful ways! I truly admire your consistency (in both of those areas), as that is something that I often struggle with, due to the fact that creative inspiration is a fleeting entity that shows up randomly whenever it feels like it, only to go where the wind blows, leaving me faster than it appeared, ha!!! Also, if you are struggling with delegating tasks to your helpers, I would honestly either just look up some info on how to delegate tasks (maybe specify: when working with friends) or even look up management or leadership courses on skillshare because they have super dope classes aimed at young entrepreneurial creatives like yourself, and many of them are oddly specific and obscure, so I bet they have something like that. I haven’t taken a bad class by them, even if it’s not my fave or I don’t sit thru every session, I always manage to learn something or pick up something new! Hopefully that helps, you got this! You’re an extremely competent human and you’ve just gotta get out of your head and let go of any negative associations you have with being a “boss” - see it as an opportunity to be the kind of leader that you want to see more of in the world and to step into a new level of confidence and empowerment, NBD! 😜 alright, longest comment ever. Absolutely love Herc. So adorable. I once lived with parakeets and became familiar with their behaviors, things they liked, and little noises that made them curious. Later on, I worked at a place that had a parakeet so I walked up to the cage and started to engage by talking, making noises. I was astonished when the bird started panting with little tongue hanging out and then began to bark like a dog in the tiniest voice. I looked at him in utter disbelief and then went to tell someone, “that bird just barked and panted like a dog”. Apparently he lived with a dog in the past. Parakeets will imitate sounds around them, but usually do so when they have another bird companion. Anyway, Herc is beautiful and I would steal him from you if I could. And btw, love your work and think you are adorable too.

Watching this while painting my #peachtober paintings, where I'm attempting to let loose and have fun instead of overthink everything. So lovely to hear your reminder about doing what you want regardless of the algorithm and followers. Loveee your work and how comfortable your videos make me feel :)
Easiest way I’ve found to translate what you do is to identify/build out your workflow - all the things that need to be done to mark the task complete. Once you have workflows, it’s a million times easier to also hire virtual assistants/etc. because you now have a list/document that has all the steps involved. It’s hard to gauge the time 100% off the bat because everyone works at different efficiency levels, but after some growing pains and finding the right peeps to help it’s a game changer! Also, time is a mystery haha I never look at the clock so have no idea how long it takes to do anything either 😂 so I use a time tracker to start/stop to know how long a workflow might take and pad in some extra time (as mentioned, a newbie to your process will take a lil time to catch up to speed on a task you do on the regular) 😊

Awesome vlog! Honestly I don’t see a single thing wrong with doing sponsorships! Why not! As long as you choose brands that you align with there’s nothing wrong with making money that way! I think there’s a bit of stigma around artists monetising in other ways which there shouldn’t be. The more people making lots of money and who have great values and care about the planet the better ✨
I love your videos so much, always makes me happy and inspired. I feel like for training someone to help out you could make intentionally corny instructional videos like an HR rep would have you watch, but you'd be making them so it would be fun and informative (: I feel like with your video editing skills they would be fun to watch and if someone forgot they could watch it later!
I wanted to hire someone to help with all the admin stuff for ages, but we had the same problem of working from home. We finally moved to a studio a few months ago and just hired our first employee, who started a few days ago! It's stressful to make such big changes, but you should definitely try to figure out how to get help and make yourself more time for you to do what you do best -- being an artist! Lots of people can help with the other tasks, but only you can create your art.

the way i see making new and different art that gets way less engagement is: its not to the taste of my current followers, who follow me because they like what i usually post- but the more my style changes the more i’ll attract new audience members who DO like my new stuff- and if some peeps unfollow thats ok- its not about follower count, its all about engagement. your true fans will love whatever you do, and seeing you grow and change is what its all about! how cool is it to see your favorite artist as they grow??? also! if a piece bombs on instagram that means NOTHING! heck instagram and its virtual constructs!!!

Hehe I feel super weird about caffeine, fine with a tea amount, but don't usually drink coffee and sometimes I think 'oh I'm tired, maybe I should drink a coffee' but then I feel like I may as well be taking an illegal drug or something because I don't even like the taste of coffee 😅 makes me feel so weird.
ive trained A LOT of people. like. an entire new restaraunt amount of people. and all kinds of ppl. my biggest advice. is explain it the way you wish someone explained it to you. secod biggest. tell them why they have to do it and why you do it the way you do. it helps a lot for ppl to know why soemthing has to get done rather than. ranfom work for no purpose.

Has the post office ever yelled at you for not bundling many envelopes? I don't see why they'd care unless there were bundles going to the same zip. They yelled at me for not doing it for work.
