Finally Bulletproof eggs...happy easter

"Ma.. Friends" I swear that makes me smile everytime I hear it.

A rooster wakes up early Easter Sunday morning. He sticks his head out of the chicken coop, and sees all these multicolored eggs all over the barnyard. He takes a look at the eggs, takes a look at the hens, takes another look at the eggs, takes one more look at the hens, he thinks about it for a minute, then he walks across the barnyard and kicks the crap out of the peacock.

You can freehand the white stripes because historically the egg crews often applied those markings in the field, also by hand.

Finally - a subject where I don't have to stress out over the "eggshell" texture in my paintwork!

The plastic eggs are a compelling alternative to try out paints and weathering techniques before the model! I was hoping to see the seams be covered in weld marks because what reputable tank manufacturer *doesn't* weld together egg halves? The logical conclusion to this experiment is a return of the Sharotank model... in Easter livery! 🐰

Camouflage eggs, for extra difficult easter egg hunts. Nice.

This was fun. Maybe next year we can see a Japanese egg with “yellow” stripe camo, a British one in the Caunter desert scheme and perhaps something French or Italian.

some details like zimmerit, riccochet marks or bulletholes with cracks would be cool :D but still nice work

That hole in the egg is the port for the MG34 or Browning M1919. Legend has it that Mr. Kovak hid these eggs in the garden, and they have not been found to this day.

Saw a cartoon yesterday a bunch of brightly painted eggs and one in camo in amongst some grass. The camo egg says 'It's like you guys want to get found!"

Just as an FYI: Open your palm, place an egg with the "fat" end on your palm, take a cylinder (about 2.3 cm diameter) and place it on the narrow end, holding it down with your index and thumb, while stabilizing the egg with your other fingers. Make sure there's as much contact between the egg and the cylinder. Smack the cylinder with a large serving spoon. Hard enough to crack the shell around the cylinder, soft enough to not go through. This will take practice, but you will be able (with a razor) to peel a perfectly circular "cap" and void the contents. Bonus: this (depending on the diameter of the egg) will allow you to separate the yolk from the liquid. A smaller aperture (usually between 1.5 and 2) will only allow the liquid to come out (a bit of shake required). When you're done, you put water inside, shake it, void that, then you can put the "cap" back on, matching it to the hole and let it rest. You want to clean it, because if you don't, the remaining liquid will "blow" the "cap" off when it goes off, but if you clean it, it will naturally glue itself to the rest of the shell, giving you a perfect, hollow, clean egg to work with. Alternatively, you can also make a small hole in the top and bottom, after vigorously shaking the egg like a chacha dance and then putting pressure on the top, you blow the contents out, also, leaving a hollow egg. Good for making a quick omelette.

Those are utterly superb - so Happy Easter and don't overdose on the chocolate!

I have hens and fresh eggs every day and I can say some do come with some form of speckling and texturing.... They're not store bought perfect but they're the best!!! I'm going to show them this video so they can lay some camo eggs from now on!!

It's nice to see your tyle with out weathering and they look awesome! Which I did learn a bit like the soviets had invastion stripes in WW2 and the basics never hurt espeicly when my style is just that... Also a nice thing about washes is then unify the model kinda like an over coat and in the 40k painting community is just another step to most painters atleast on youtube because of the unifying and the brownfcation being more 40k like.

maybe useful as just a pallet to get a visual aid of the ideas
