Unfortunately my husband watches the playoffs on tv which is across the hallway from my craft room so I hear everything. lol. I will watch the Stanley Cup game but I don’t think I will watch anything more. I think your light houses look fantastic and I bet everything else will turn out just as great. If you want a shiny finish on your clay things you can coat them in resin and pop them under your nail light to cure them. I haven’t tried it but I have seen it on RU-vid a few times.🤗
Canceling Aunt jemima is canceling a black woman who was proud of who she was. The whole cancel culture backfires over and over. I am with you Lisa, I grew up eating her pancakes. What a shame she was ultimately dropped and soon to be forgotten.
We have a tiny Aunt Jemima that was given to my husband's late mom for her vast thimble collection, but she is actually a vintage pottery statuette. I want to put her on my dolls 'house' shelf because we think Black Memorabilia is worth-while noting. As a woman of mixed heritage including Native American, and the grandmother of beautiful part Black children, I feel offended by some of the reasoning behind cancel culture ideas.
Politically correct? Enough enough enough enough of that total garbage. Your items are super super cute, talk any way that you feel. Time we get back to reality...
