What I really like about this series is the way Graeme allows each artist to speak for themselves, and never tries to dominate the whole scene. And yet, you also get the impression clearly that he is himself a thoroughly good bloke. I agree with Evelyn, this series does much for artists around the world, and what a great bunch of people they are! I had never heard of this technique of stretching watercolour paper like canvas before, I'm going to have to try it. Loved the paintings in this episode, too.

Our whole world is dependent on visual artistic people. Houses, clothes, cars, phones and everything else was designed by visual people. Long live art! She’s a master

Thanks Lori, dam virus has put a bend in the business but we are teaching artists how to film them selves and set up their studios for future reference as well. I am putting a course/tutorial together at the moment that will teach artists how to do what we have done

Graeme, What a brilliant interview of Evelyn Dunphy! I love how you begin with a personal interview, show her work and have her give a tutorial. I have not seen watercolor paper stretched this way. Great idea! Evelyn's work is so pretty- love seeing those granulating pigments as they interact with her wet paper- what a wonderful landscape she created. She is right, we all can make a difference!

Hi Evelyn, thank you for the great tips. I was wondering do you put more water on the back after you've let something dry and what does it do to the watercolor pigment that's already on the paper?
@hyearchuleta9990
@hyearchuleta9990 4 года назад
Wow! I am very intrigued by your method. First question do you wet the paper first before you stretch and stapled ? Second question do you keep wetting the back as you paint? Thank you

Evelyn, thank you for this demonstration! Beautiful! Would you tell if the paper was saturated before you stretched it, and was the front of the paper wet at all before you started to paint? Thank you.
