Thank you Chuck. This is by far the most interesting and exciting painting you have made. I just love your back story. I too love the outdoors and all the wild creatures that roam the mountains, forests, plains and seas where I live. I so love and appreciate this stunning painting.
I enjoyed the story behind the canvas. We have coyotes here in California. I live at the base of a mountain and every night I can here them howl. Hiking the trails, they can be seen at a distance. Interesting creatures.
It's very engaging to follow your journey, you are a great artist who has inspired me for years with your relationship with life in nature and respect for animals, thank you for such an inspiring and evocative video for me
Beautiful painting (love the detail on the wolf) and wonderful story. You are seriously a Master at blending, which makes every piece you do look so realistic. (P.S. I would have been thrilled to trade you some excessive heat--here in Pittsburgh, PA--for some of that snow. Creatures of the wild certainly don't deserve to suffer from our indifference and appalling treatment of their planet . . .sigh.)
A very emotional piece, also large, how do you let go using reference pics? Love the composition and your story telling. Put all of this in a book. Thank you.
I typically setup a scene with as much reference as I can, but then as I'm painting I try to drop my expectations and just simply enjoy it.. That helps me let go and I think it comes with time. Thank you and you are welcome
Hey Man. I got your email about this painting. I paint also, though not in a while. You just keep getting better and better ! I think this is your best painting so far. Of course, I am biased towards wolves and wilderness.
👋Hi Chuck, not only was your painting fantastic, beautiful, well done but also your story really grabbed me. It felt like I'd experienced it myself, and I think that you would make a very fine author/poet, being able to play with words as you did. Thank you very much, you just made my day. Stay safe when travelling❤
I absolutely admire and love how your paintings take you to that place and at that moment. I find myself somehow a part of it... well done (as usual), my friend.
I do love 🐺 wolves and the Aurora Borealis and your painting is stunningly beautiful 😍 ✨ ❤ just like your story! One lucky person captured a photo of the Aurora Borealis in the shape of a wolf, taken in Pajala, Sweden once, that photo is really magical and if you want to see it I'm sure you can find it online!
Chuck, if you don't want the snow, send it my way! 😂 It's been in the high 80s - low 90s here 😓 This painting is fantastic! The way you did it looks like you captured you experiences, feelings and, maybe, even a bit of anticipation in it. I've seen a lot of paintings and prints of wolves, but _none_ portrayed the way you did this one. It's phenomenal! I've done a lot of paintings, I've seen a lot of paintings and I watched a lot of people do paintings - you are the _only_ person that I've seen that can actually draw me _into_ a painting.
Great wolf painting Chuck, the northern night sky looks mesmerizing. I have a short story. I was driving home from Superior National forest the road was narrow lonely and quiet suddenly to my left two Timberwolves were trotting along the tree line I stoped and pulled over and got a couple of photos before they dashed backed into the woods I wanted to see them again so I howled and again then they howled then I howled then they howled and then, Silence.. I wont forget that. You know we have a professional women's soccer team here in Minnesota named The Aurora's.
Mesmerized by your narrating. I love these experiences and stories. Wolves have something very spiritual to them, don't they? I have yet to paint one, is on my bucket list.
Chuck, this is such a great video. The concept is awesome. Did you move to (is it Montana?) for the scenery in part? If you ever find a guy online doing almost this concept be unafraid I would do it different and always in my heart give you as much credit as possible. You're an inspiration my friend
Easier to get the coverage I want when adding color and the warm tone is a nice compliment.. A lot of times I paint semi transparent and the orange shows through which aids in the effect im after... It's a long used technique
This painting hits close to home for me, as I too have experienced the northern lights similar to the way you have described it here in your story of how you came to paint this composition. It wasn't high on top of a mountain or in the middle of the forest, but I got the same feelings you have shared here. I too also know what it feels like to be stalked by wolves. This painting here and with the back story behind it gave me goosebumps. I just wanted to let you know how much your paintings, especially this one, give me such a great feeling and sense of being right there. You have such a talent, and I only wish I was as good as you. You are such an inspiration!
Beautiful and amazing work. I paint also but I'm way too old to go out on adventures like that. You are a lucky man. Keep on doing it because one day you will be like me. To old to do it
Oh magnifique peinture,le loup est superbe, et l aurore Boréale ! Tout est très réaliste, chapeau bas monsieur Chuck, vous êtes un grand artiste ! 😃😃❤❤👏👍🇨🇵❤
To be honest I love when you narrate your paintings, I told you long ago it gives me Marty Stouffer vibes. It makes your channel different and not just another time lapse, I understand you focusing on painting and not narrating as much but it really was the only reason I withdrew my membership. I didn't want to read your painting process I wanted to feel your emotion during it and I don't think any other painting channel does this. If the old chuck is back I would absolutely renew my membership. PS congrats on the duck stamp man that is awesome!! been following you trying to get that thing and you absolutely deserve this one, beautiful!!
Thank you very much for that! They go on sale this coming week, so it's finally starting to feel real. I appreciate the feedback as well, ha and yes I remember that comment. Well to be honest, I had to let go of any other voiceover commentary in order to allow me the time to post public videos like this again. So, I share the extended footage with music to the members as well as reference photos, but I'm no longer 'teaching' in the full-length videos. Thanks again!
Chuck, Your paintings are STUNNING! And your style of narration through the process of each painting just makes the whole experience of watching your videos captivating. You are a very unique Artist Sir. Thank you for sharing your work with us! God Bless You my Friend!
Best video yet, because of the story along with it. All of your paintings are great, but I'd love to hear more stories along with the paintings in the future. GREAT WORK!
Thank you so much for sharing your art with us! You’ve inspired me so much ever since I discovered you a few years ago! I pray you continue sharing your gift with us Chuck! 💚💚💚
Gorgeous painting as always and I absolutely love getting the background story. Powerful. Thank you for this new format. It is enjoyable and fulfilling to watch. You are living my dream.
Oh my gosh, what beautiful work! You just keep getting better and better. A true inspiration to this self taught artist. Thank you Chuck, for sharing your passion and stories.
Wonderful story! I had a very similar experience with coyotes recently. They circled my camp and yipped for backup. One who was answering the call ran under my truck on the road out as I reached about 40mph. It freaked me out.
By far my favorite artist on youtube, perhaps overall. Love each and every scenic landscape, and as someone with several wolf tattoos , artwork, and paraphernalia of wolves littering my home, this piece is just incredible. Thank you for this.
I love these videos so much. It’s so inspiring to hear your wildlife stories alongside the painting and it looks absolutely beautiful! I love the glow of the aurora on the fur of the wolf! Thanks for making these :)
