Painting my Custom Keyboard...

So in this video, I wanted to do something more "custom". so I tried acrylic paint on my keyboard.. and it turned out so sick! The keyboard used is my tofu65v3 from kbdfans, my first ever expensive keyboard kit that I bought for myself.. so needless to say this one is very important to me! let me know if you liked it, or wanna see anything else!

I would have made a silicone mold of the weight and then poured resin into the mold. This did come out really nice though all things considered

It does look sick CG, this is cool. Haven’t seen much other stuff like this. My first build was a Keychron K2, bought it used and painted it and got new switches & keycaps. But I too made a lot of mistakes.. spray paint, so a lot of dripping and missed some spots. But it’s fun! And very personalized

You can apply plastic wrap when it’s semi wet, remove it an will give it a marble look.

If you want to do an entire case it might be easier to hydro dip. You can either do films or more easily just spray paint on top of water and then dip the case. Lots of videos that show you how to do it.

This is dope, I've not seen acrylic dip before. One thing you could try is Hydro dipping - using a plastic tub full of water and spray spraypaint on top of the water, and then you can (gently) drop your board in and get cool patterns. There's not (m)any videos of hard plastics being hydro dipped so I went through a lot of trial and error. If you do it, one tip- make sure the spray paint isn't causing the water to splash.
