Probably opened them to install some LEDs around the inside of the housing the oldschool cheap way 🤷🏽‍♂️.

No clear coat required after the jelly stain paint ? Looks good 👍

I use it kind of like clear coat, I haven’t covered with clear coat anytime I’ve used it
