It's so interesting watching people who have lived in LA morph from thinking everywhere else is boring into realizing that you can have a completely fulfilling happy life somewhere that's NOT LA or New York. I am a brick person and usually don’t love paint (my opinion doesn’t matter fr fr ) but after you showed more of the brick up close, it absolutely needed painted. White duck was my favorite of them (grey mist is really pretty as well) and it looks fantastic! I can’t wait to see all of the finishing touches when landscaping and stuff comes together one day. It’s coming along so nicely, Morgan !

I'm recently separated, which has been devastating... but I relocated back to the east coast to be with family during this time. I had a whole meltdown about being back around my hometown that I fought so hard to leave, and blah blah blah... but you're right. Then flipping it and making it no longer affordable, and making the neighborhood less affordable in turn. I LOVE natural brick but I also LOVE also when it gets old, beyond a reasonable refinish, and it’s painted white to give it new life! ♥️ And the white you chose is a nice soft white, not stark and cold. And it doesn’t appear yellow! Great choice!!

Hey Morgan, I watch your videos with my mom. We get so excited to see each of your house updates and to catch up with you. You feel like an old friend at this point. We are so proud of you, Morgan. The house is looking great. The paint color is excellent. You are right, mismatched bricks all over the facade would not have looked good long term. We hope you will continue on this positive trajectory. I have a sort of similar story to yours. After leaving home for college (and taking 5.5 years to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, it was the time I needed as life got in the way a little) and living full-time in the big city (Chicago) for over eight years, I also moved back to my hometown in the suburbs three years ago, one month before the pandemic hit (excellent timing TBH). I'm loving it here, living a chill and simple life. Not to brag, but I now have the best apartment in my building (my apartment in Chicago was a shoe box), and the cost of living is so much more reasonable in the suburbs. Living close to my family and having their support is the only way I could have made it through the past few years, which often felt like the end of the world at times. You are totally right, it's nice to be able to come home again. From our family to yours, we send our love, to you. Be well. Joe

I'm 58 and the longest I ever lived in one place was 17 years raising my kids, I've lived 10 years in a couple of places and 1-5 in others. I don't consider any of them my hometown. If you have one, treasure it. I'm really glad you're so happy sweetheart. ❤

I grew up in illinois, moved to Colorado, lived there for a while. then moved to Arizona for a little bit. I just moved back to Illinois in the neighboring town from the one I grew up in (it’s all so small its right next to each other) & I honestly couldn’t be happier.

We have a painting company in Oklahoma called First Class Painting and let me say: the owner is so passionate and the house looks beautiful! They did such a great job!! It’s s great color choice. And yes, the amount of choices per color is INSANE!!! When we have free range work, it takes us FOREVERRRR to pick one blue or one brown stain! To me, they all look the same 😂 but to my man, who’s an amazing painter, he has an amazing eye and he can see the difference lol😅 I also know the paint is near the end of a house reno or build so you are almost dooooone!! 🎉🎉 you did GOOD girl !! Been eatinggg this series up and from where you came from and what you have been thru, we are SO proud of you for not giving up!! ❤

Shoot I was living in the future. It doesn't actually exist tho. I have to say that I just recently fell back in love with my beautiful hometown in beachy Florida, that I hated my whole life. Wow. Breakthroughs are happening. Stay true to YOU, people. Keep asking the Universe for 'expansion' and just watch what happens. Just say ''I want expansion Universe! Please show me!'' Watch your life unfold. And be ready to take the ride. What a glorious ride it is!

I can totally relate to moving back to your hometown. I lived in San Diego after leaving my hometown and 38 me is thriving and living in my small town. I love the outdoors, lakes, mountains and small town vibes here in Oregon.
Morgan, the house is just lovely! The solid color really updates the look. I'm in the middle of some repairs and changes to my house too. I'll be coming home to new floors next week. I've picked out interior and exterior paints. I have some fixtures to replace, and I'll be done. Your personal growth is awesome! As family ages, we do tend to appreciate them more and long for homey and comfortable vibes. I've always made sure my home was something our parents could age well in and ourselves too. Morgan once you get through this building and moving in phase you are gonna love the landscaping and planting side of being a home owner I’m a few years into my house and the craziness has worn off and I’ve started to really settle in and get into gardening and it’s a lot of fun! I hope we get to see you do stuff like that in the future 😊
