Very good work my friend. I like to ask top modelers about their choices so I can adapt my own to new ones I like, I have only one question: why not use some exposure of your Mr Surfacer gray primer as evidence of wear? Was the Msurfacer just for texture?
Had no idea there was so much work involved to getting that realistic look in modeling. I have just been at it a couple of years now and have learned so much from videos like yours. Super Jaw dropping job man WOW. I have my next project now! and will prolly go back to your video 100 times haha...CHEERS
Bonjour mon ami 👍hello my friend 👍awesome job great details I enjoy watching your video you are an example for me 👍thanks for sharings congrats buddy good morning of France 🇨🇵
So funny! My kids choose mornings to go nutty while im working on my models so me and dog dog escape and go for a walk down to the bay! When we get back, the kids have settled back down so I put them to task rinsing the sand off dog dog and I go back to the studio!!! Just a side story. More excellent work my friend. No end to your talent!
Thanks for this tutorial! Something as simple as a barrel not painted and weathered properly can spoil a diorama. This is going to help a lot with finishing off my current project. Much appreciated! 👌🤙
These look really good. Whilst watching I was thinking about dents but I can see at the final reveal that some do have minor dents. I think if they had got this well used that some may have fairly large dents but that is not easy to do with plastic. I did some where I cut chunks out of them and then made up dents from filler.
Thanks for the tutorial.... I am doing a DAK No. Afrika vignette (Armor) and I have a couple of barrels next to the vehicle. Your lesson helped immensely.... Plus couldn't stop laughing at your make up remark..... "getting pretty.... 🤣😂🤣
Well Mr. Pottymouth, technically it's a bung. The bung plug screws into the bung hole. I can't see how anyone would get any kind of innuendo from that.
Just for those interested, German oil drums were, for the early part of the war not painted at all just left in the galvanised steel colour, after 1943 they were predominately Dark Yellow. The Red and White stripe or pretty much any other colour of course is feasible as I am sure they would have grabbed any civilian supplies they could find! The actual German Army ones had Werhmact or Waffen SS etc stamped in the lids as well.
What a great tutorial!! Thanks so much for putting it up. It's exactly what I need to finish my own project ( convoy of 3 trucks loaded with fuel and ammo.) This was very well done. Cheers!!
Thanks for the tips they look really good. Just a side note, the fuel was too volatile to put into drums. Just unscrewing the cap would cause enough friction to set off the hydrogen peroxide fuel. And the rocket fuel came in two components each extremely volatile. Wings of the Luftwaffe did a great job on documenting the Me-163. Again great work.
OK. Where ya at dude? It’s that time of year I like to lounge around indoors and watch you build something incredible and haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope all is well with you and your family! Merry Christmas!
