this looks like complete perfection, not to mention you gave this AR the Halo Reach color design as well as adding some amazing weathering choices to it. the only small gripe I have is that if I were to have painted it, I would have left the muzzle tip orange since I do a lot of Nerf events so it's a personal preference. either way this is an amazing job well done
Thank you! Yeah fair enough, I live in New Zealand though, so we don't have as many regulations around that kind of stuff - also this is only for display so I wouldn't be taking it into public places
I would have filled the screw holes as well. I don't see the need for the thing to be working, but If you still wanted the ability to open the thing up, I would make two or three push pins in the manner of that of an Ar. (IE friction fitted) It's insanely dope nonetheless.
In the process of using this video as a basis for mine, very educational! I've cut some pistol grip and stuck it to their respective areas as a follow up, super exciting project
@@2playercreations613 I've ordered a tiny flashlight to replace the original, which means I'll have to remove some inner plastic and find a suitable work around. Additionally I wanted to get some led's in the scope and I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to wire it and solder etc so I've purchased a blue led dog collar, doing to strip the exterior and see if I can neatly fit the strip inside with the button sticking out the top maybe? As I said, exiting to try and engineer and make an awesome prop
Sick. Nice video of the breakdown. I just got mine in last week. I'm probably just gonna do a basic metallic gunmetal grey with a blue stripe and accents. Gonna give her a black primer coat, paint it all up, rub it on some rocks and stuff to give it a worn look then hit it with a clear coat. These blasters feel great in your hands and have a solid build, if highly recommend one.
awesome! Try some toothpaste masking before your top coat to get the beaten up look - i have another how to video on my channel for that - if you rub it on rocks you'll cut back to the plastic which won't look too great as you'll see the white or green colouring
That final product looks extremely damn convincing, mate! I truly wish I could do something like this, it would just be so fun to have, issue would be is I'd probably shoot some little targets and then hang it up somewhere I wouldn't end up touching it for a long while, I'd probably have it for a conversation piece in the end. But damn does it look absolutely amazing nonetheless!!

Own a musket for home defense, since that’s what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. “What the devil?” As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man he’s dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man miss him entirely because it’s smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, “Tally ho lads” the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge at the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out waiting on the police arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
