If this little girl was mine, I'd be painting her real nice. First start with painting the chassis and floorboards along with the frame with black rust olem paint to keep everything from rust. Then, I'd start painting the rest of the truck. I love this little girl so much, wish I could have been able to get one of these when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee.
@@ProjectTimeGarage your welcome if you paint the truck red with that white roof it would look really nice and please look at the hub caps those rims would look awesome with being painted black with a clear coat
Just a little fun fact here. In the 1976 movie Carrie, high school star athlete Tommy Ross drove a 521 series Datsun/Nissan truck in that movie when he wanted to ask Carrie to go to the high school prom with him. I love these 521 series trucks, let's see more of what your gonna do to it!
@@ProjectTimeGarage I hate to dog ya, however, can we see much more about the 521 series Datsun/Nissan truck you have here? I love that truck so much, and wish I could have gotten one of these when I was living in Murfreesboro Tennessee in the 80's. God, I love this truck so much!
@@ProjectTimeGarage Not sure I'd worry about a short.....just add it to your next Datsun vid. Guys like me are going to watch each one of those anyway. :)
Man, I can't believe I forgot to include that. It didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. My tape let me down and allowed some paint to bleed under the edges. I'll put up a short of it.
@@ProjectTimeGarage At any rate, that's the beauty of painting. Not satisfied? Sand it all back down and start all over again. I'm looking forward to seeing much, much more of you are so kind to keep us all informed to much more of what your gonna do to this little girl here. Also, think about this for awhile here. If you painted tte whole truck completely down with white paint, and with black detail, paint out the word DATSUN by hand, how sharp this truck would look like. And, as stated, paint the whole underside frame and chassis and floorboards with black rust olem paint, man, that would really, really look sharp! Wish I could go down to good ole Murfreesboro and work along side you to get this little girl shining up real pretty like. Oh, and by the way, scratch down the inside of the bed and paint a paint on bed liner in that bed, the more you do to it, the better and better she'll look.
Are you at all going to paint the rest of this truck? I love this truck, I love to look at it, wish that Nissan would build these little 520 series trucks again. Gas is hittin 7 dollars a gallon these days.
@@ProjectTimeGarage If you do, PLEASE show what your doing , I fell so deeply in love with this truck. When I was in Murfreesboro at the time, I could have wished that I could have ran into a little truck like this to own and run. I love this style and year of this truck very much, and as I said before, with gas prices going to the moon in expense, it would be to Nissan's best interst to start building these 520 series trucks again, they would sell like hot cakes. Imagine what one of these would look like if they had a 4 wheel drive unit on it.
@@ProjectTimeGarage WHARE? Maybe I might have to move back down to Tennessee in the future, and hope to buy a small home, and get a little truck like this to give all my love to. I would like to paint it under the frame and chassis first, and if the body is kinda rough, sand it down, prime it, sand the primer again prime it again, sand the primer again and get a nice enamel paint color and paint the little girl a nice color. Tune up the engine, change the oil, oil filter and air filter, do everything to it and love it to death and back. Like to even scratch down the bed and paint a paint on bed liner in the bed. I've fallen in love with these 521 series trucks, can't help but to love them, very much.
Hey Brian, nice to see some protection on the eyes while cleaning up the rims, even if it was just your hades, then you didn’t have anything on the second time! I know I sometimes am not careful either! Hate to see you get something stuck in your eye! Careful my buddy! Wheels and roof look good! Worth doing for sure. Hope the rain did not wreck the roof too much. Sticking to the bitter end watching the video was easy to do, by the way!
Luckily the sunglasses I had were ANSI approved, but I definately get caught up in the moment sometimes and forget them. So far I still haven't sanded/polished the roof yet. Time will tell how good or bad it came out.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Just so you know, I was not lecturing, but you probably figured that out. We all get caught up in the moment! Truck looking real good!
