Three things I learned watching this : 1. Layer and layer until you get the desired result 2. Don't waste money on paints if only painting character minis for display (too late for me) 3. You can paint a display quality mini in the time the kids takes to do a bath and blow dry their hair. Love your work AG.
Haven't watched the video yet, but the only point I would qualify is #2; the money is being spent for convenience, which I would debate isn't a waste. Can I mix any color from the 3 primary colors? Yes. Is it easier to simply grab a bottle of that color pre-mixed from my paint drawers? Yes, it is. Given the option, I'll take convenience and it has an added bonus; if I ever want to paint something else with the same color scheme, I don't have to worry about being able to reproduce that exact same shade. In the end though, it all comes back to personal preference, or as many like to say "Your mileage may vary".
I always new that this is possible to use only 3 base color, but watching how easy is this for you is just amazing. And i just love watching you paint.

Eres un fenómeno, un reto digno de un artista como tú. Me encanta cuando las minis las haces enteras a pincel,así los que no tenemos aerógrafo,vemos que es posible hacer estas maravillas. Muchas gracias por tu vídeo.
Looks like so much fun. We often get lost in getting all the newest best brands of paints and fancy toys, but in the end, all it takes is a fun sculpt and some basic colors to enjoiy our hobby. :-)

I remember watching some of the more skilled painters in my local Games Workshop and being inspired as a kid in the mid-90s. This is like that, but on god-mode. The speed and incisiveness is mind-boggling; the mini was basically done in 50m.

This was awesome man, I feel it really shows your talent. To just make whatever color you want out of the primaries really shows a mastery of color. Looks amazing.
Two secondaries and a primary at any rate. "Artists primaries" as it were. Very old tradition from before we understood light, heavily tilted towards skin tones and grungier colors, but incapable of _vibrant_ cyans, magentas, purples, greens, and oranges. Takes some amazing talent to use though, and is immensely fun to watch :)
Una pasada, cuando pensaba que ya lo dabas por terminado, ¡no!, cambio de papel y más toques mágicos =) Yo he hecho dos retos de 3 colores (5 si contamos el b y n) y son difíciles (para los pobres mortales), pero aprendes mucho de mezclas. ¿Ángel para cuando un reto con la paleta de Zorn? ;)

Yeah, it's not hard to paint with only blue, red and yellow, but it's damn inconvenient, and might take a lot of paint until the right mixture is achieved.

Hi Angel, just discovered your videos. I just got into painting minis but i find it very challenging to blend paints on really tiny minis with so much details like potion bottles, knives, vials all in one belt. At what size of minis you dont find the point to blend colors? Love your vdo and subscribed.
Estoy comenzando a pintar y quería hacer algo similar haciendome de los colores primarios de la gama model color. Justo me aparece este video cuando mis pinturas ya están de camino, pero mi elección ha sido esta otra: Magenta 70.945 Amarillo limón 70.952 Azul real 70.809 (este si es el mismo) ¿crees que me puede dar el mismo resultado que a ti? Para azul también he cogido el Azul Andrea ¿lo ves incluso mejor opción que el azul real para combinar con los otros dos primarios?

@@AngelGiraldeZ Eso es cierto, en teoría de color blanco o negro no se contemplan como colores, por que bien son la suma o la ausencia de todo el espectro (segun sea sustractivo o aditivo). Pero en el caso de las pinturas llamamos "color" a lo que en realidad es pigmento sostenido por un soporte. Y en ese caso los blancos, negros y grises mediantes si son colores. Existe el Blanco de Titanio o el Negro de Humo, pe ;)
Con esto entendemos el color. ¿Y que tal otro video cómo este pintando un garrapatas de estos usando sólo banco, negro y un color, para jugar con texturas?
