In light brush you can blend with any brush you make, including particle brushes, and has a hotkey for it to toggle blending, maybe you wanna check it out.

Why do you use the blending brush with the 0% blending option, isn't it the same as a normal brush? Thank you.

Good question! It's not really the same as using a normal brush as the mixer brush instead picks up an area of the canvas instead of just one colour. It's more like you're loading a real brush with paint that isn't totally pure, that's got little splodges of other colours in it. Play around with it and you'll see what I mean.
