i have 2 problems right now. 1. my airpods only connect as "music" and not voice. 2. i only have the headphones option and not the headset one. what do i do?? been trying to solve this for the last 2 hours
I solved this issue by 'Forgetting the device' in the bluetooth settings and restarting the pc. I then paired the AirPods again and you should see headset and headphones. if you use headphones mode for output and headset for the mic input, the mic wont work. If you use headset for output and headset for mic input, the mic will work but the output sound is 16 bit mono and isn't good at all.

@@divij6910 the short answer is yes and no. If you use some specific external Bluetooth dongles for your computer, it is possible as bandwidth increases. Under normal operation, using a phone, iPad, pc with built in Bluetooth adapter it is not possible.
The issue we are having is how loud it is. When you connect to the default "Microphone (Name AirPods Pro Hands-Free AG Audio)" and Speakers "Speakers (Name AirPods Pro Hands-Free AG Audio)" the volume is way too loud. You have to adjust them each time you connect and even then, I don't think it affects the volume in your ear. Someone said online to chose (Name AirPods Pro Stereo) but that only works with your Speaker not your Microphone. In my chat this morning with Zoom customer support, they said a patch was released to help resolve these issues and to download the latest version. Unfortunately, I already have the latest version. So any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have airpods. On my Windows 10 computer with Zoom there is a little microphone on the lower left corner - the dropdown choices are: Select a Microphone: Internal Microphone (AMD Audio Device); or Stereo Mix (Realtek(R)Audio); or Same as System and under Select a Speaker: Speaker (Realtek(R)Audio) or Same as System. Is the issue the mic quality or the sound quality coming in? If it's the sound quality coming in, try the below: In your Windows 10 start menu type in "Sound Settings" (without the quotes) A new window should pop-up, on the right side of this window click on "Sound Control Panel" From here, select your Airpods then click Properties Go to the Advanced tab and change the default format to "16 bit, 44100Hz (CD Quality)" Hope this helps. Otherwise, it may be an issue with the bluetooth adapter in your computer as someone mentioned in a previous comment.
@@MatthewMora Its my voice quality when I choose mic as airpods hands free. The same setting I can see the sound quality is the lowest ( aka 1 channel telephony ) and I'm not able to change its in display mode. I disable handsfree feature with beluetooth setting but this time I'm not able to use airpods as microphone. Btw my laptop is lenovo x270 I think everybody may have the same issue.

@@ardayurdakul3285 bluetooth donanımı yetersiz o yüzden. Sanırım laptop da sorun airpods dışında başka bluetooth kulaklıklarda aynı sorun oluyor. 5-10 liralık usb girişli bt 5.0 destekli donanım satın alsak çözülebilecek gibi.

I wonder if this phone-only-quality also happening if I connect it to Mac machine? It's frustrate me when sometimes the audio source changed from stereo to suddenly no audio output during the meeting. Then I need to change the system source to the Headset one (instead of the stereo). While I never have this problem when connecting my airpod to iPhone/iPad. Is it time to change my machine to a mac?
I tested this on both Mac and Windows. Mac = perfect sound and automatic pairing. Windows = phone quality sound and manual pairing (click "Connect" under bluetooth devices). I'm still looking if there's any way to improve the sound quality of the mic on Windows since that is my primary work machine.
Just got brand new airpod pros and they connect to my pc but the sound works for like 3 seconds and then quits. Anyone know of a fix? Really don't want to have to buy a high quality bluetooth adapter. Might return these and get the Sony WF-1000XM3
