理大高等研究院很高興推出最新一集《PAIR 科研成果》影片,繼續請來PAIR科研人員分享其近期科研成果和應對社會重大挑戰的研究方案。
第二集以「眼睛『亮』晶晶:紅光逆轉近視」為題,嘉賓為視覺科學研究中心主任兼眼科視光學院科研眼科講座教授何明光。
何教授於本集介紹其團隊在「重複低強度紅光療法」方面的研究。紅光治療為提供便利、價格合理、安全且經過臨床證實的近視治療方案,邁進一大步。何教授亦分享了理大於2024年加入世界衛生組織(世衛)全球SPECS網路。何教授及其他視覺科學研究中心成員積極探索具影響力的國際合作,致力透過創造知識和解決方案,協助人類維持長久、健康而敏銳的視覺。

The PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR) is pleased to present the new episode of the PAIR Research Impact Video Series. The Series invites PAIR researchers to share their latest research achievements and solutions to major challenges in the society.
In this episode, Prof. HE Mingguang, Director of the Research Institute for SHARP Vision ( #RCSV) and Chair Professor of Experimental Ophthalmology, introduces his team’s research on Repeated Low-Level Red Light (RLRL) therapy. RLRL therapy marks a great step forward in providing user-friendly, affordable, safe and clinically proven treatment solutions that slow the progression of myopia. Prof. He also shares that PolyU has joined the Global SPECS Network hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2024. Prof. He and other members at RCSV have been pursuing various impactful and international collaborations, with the goal to create knowledge and solutions for the promotion of healthy life-long sharp vision.
