I got Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte body wash at the December SAS, but they didn't have anything else in the line. I grabbed two body mists and lotions when they brought it back this fall.
I love pumpkin spice everything :) I have a big pumpkin spice fragrance collection going on at this point. Even though it's still warm here, I am craving fall fragrances like crazy!! I really liked that you have a few here that I've not tried or heard of, so that's fun. For commercial scents one of my favorites is ELdO Like This - just a really homey, warm fragrance, and Pumpkin Creme from Le Monde Gourmande is good too. You are so right, BBW has cornered the market on pumpkin scents :) An old one that I like - but hate the name - Pumpkin Picking. Also really like White Pumpkin Chai. When I first tried BBW Pumpkin Pecan Waffles I didn't like it, it was too pastry pancakey, but it grew on me and it's now one of my favorites. I found that there is an incense quality to it that I love so much, and it reminds me of a couple indie oils that I love as well - Arcana Pumpkin Loves Nog and Dirty Nog. I also like the BBW Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and I wear it with Givenchy L'Interdit Rouge which is an awesome combo. I adore deep spicy fragrances; Angel's Share is a favorite of mine. I wouldn't wear it to the dental office for fear of creating some uncomfortable scent association with it - I love it too much for that :) I do wish I could wear Khamrah but it has a weird woody aroma chemical in it that smells really bad with my skin chemistry. Though I found two good dupes of Angel's Share that I can wear without that weird woody thing - Maison Alhambra Kismet Angel and La Fede Intoxicate, both are affordable too. You are right, both honey and sandalwood go so well with these types of fragrances...... and certain musks too. You have Jovan here, and I like to wear Kiehl's Original Musk lotion under these fragrances - smells soooo good. Or many times like Nemat Vanilla Musk, fantastic with these. I agree that the indie houses really need to get better about releasing seasonal fragrances in a more timely manner, it's a big letdown if the holiday is over by the time you get them. I understand they are small businesses, but still a little more advanced warning would be appreciated. And Solstice Scents is not the only one who crunches holiday releases either - many of them do. Oh, yes, those BBW body creams and butters - I've found they are not nearly as shelf stable as the lotions. I've had to pitch so many that I don't even buy those anymore, I just stick with the lotions which actually some have lasted years for me with no issues at all. Thanks for the fun video! Another great video, Carina! (Karina?) The only scents I have that are clearly made for fall, are three body sprays: 1) bodycology “Cozy Fireside S’More” 2) bath & body works “Pumpkin & Marshmallow - Comfort” (from fall 2013) 3) bath & body works “Pear & Cashmere Woods - Autumn” (from fall 2013) All the others I had I passed on a few years ago. I’m going to try your suggestion and adding #’s 1 and 2 with my Jovan Musk! And here’s something that I discovered quite by accident: J.Lo’s Glow (not Miami Glow - and I specifically only own the body spray of Glow) - when it’s a cool, breezy day with a warm sun, and you have a backyard fire going... put on Glow! It’s the only way I enjoy it, something magical happens when it’s mixed with campfire smoke and a brisk, yet sunny day! 😍
I only have one pumpkin fragrance and that's Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte. I usually wear it with a vanilla scent like Vanilla Bourbon by Mix Bar but I will try it with the musk to see how I like it. I've been thinking about getting Khamrah but I keep getting scared off. Some people talk about how sweet it is and then some say it's very masculine so I dont know, lol. Thanks for the video! ❤
Great video. I love pumpkin everything! I don’t know why, but Pumpkin Swirl Cake smells like Hostess HoHo’s to me. 😂 I like it, but it doesn’t evoke pumpkin for me, but rather processed chocolate cake. I think Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte evokes a perfumed interpretation of a pumpkin latte. I don’t actually get any of the ingredients in the name, but I like it. BBW comes out with Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin every year in body care and candles. There was some issue with the Pumpkin Pecan Waffles body care this year, and I don’t think it’s being released. It just smells like nutty, buttered waffles to me, no actual pumpkin. The BBW body creams, especially with any vanilla, go bad within 6 months or less. I ADORE the Pumpkin Body Butter from Trader Joe’s. It’s the only thing that really smells like pumpkin pie and not just pumpkin spice like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. And it lasts forever. I also own and love Khamrah and the Khamrah Qahwa coffee version. But I don’t notice much difference between the two. My favorite “pumpkin spice” perfume is Givenchy Organza Indecence. Either the vintage or modern version are good. But I think both are now discontinued.
