Very thoroughly done, I have the pactalk bold(love it) purchasing the lexinb4m or fodsports m1s pro for some friends because hand signals are so 2000's. On another note seeing you and your bro's riding makes me really excited to be purchaing a goldiwng f6b next year, hope I can find a good group here in Michigan
Wow Chris- thank you! There’s several videos out there but none of them are as concise and clear. Thanks for covering both options (with app and without app). Well done!
Great video. We were out this past weekend and connecting a 30K and 50S were easy. Pairing with anything else was a task. You made it look easy. Thanks.
Thanks for posting this. I didn't see my question in a quick review of the comments so I'll ask here. What is the max range between the Cardo Packtalk Bold and a Sena 20S?
I wish I would I have had this video a year ago. I couldn’t get away from the Cardo, just to good of a comms system. Can’t wait for Monday now, me and my friend (who has a Sena) can finally talk without calling each other
Hey Chris, thanks for this video! I recently bought a new Shoei Neotec II, which comes with the Sena SRL2. My wife's got the Cardo Packtalk Slim, so I really needed help getting the two paired. I tried everything without success, and then I came across your video. So, from Brisbane, Australia, thanks heaps mate!
@@t1d_bikeguy420 Establish a bluetooth connection (Cardo or non Cardo) and then use the brigde function. Easiest is using the smartphone app. Here is an how to tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TZKUbgNkLek.html
Thank you this. /I've tried a few times but we were all on a ride, messy. I have to practice this. Thank you for explaining how I'm connecting with the Seno then "bridging" them into the group. Oh, and I didn't know till now about us pairing in Phone mode, not Intercomm mode. That makes a big difference.
great video - thx! I just made the switch to Cardo for all but one of my helmets, just in case I get too frustrated trying to pair with my Sena friends :)
Hi, thanks for explaining had issues figuring it out. But is the sena in true dmc mode or is it bridged in as a bluetooth device? Didnt fully understand this part from video or comments.
Hello… First I want to say thank you for making this instructional video. Secondly, I have a question. Between the Cardo and Sena, which unit do you prefer over the other and why? Thank you!
What is the distance range??? Is it 30 ft like a Bluetooth speaker as in for a passenger Or can you ride separate bikes and hear each other over 30ft away? Lastly does it reconnect by itself when it goes out if range? Great video thanks
Wow thanks for the detailed video! It's a pain connecting them without a good manual/video. If you move the Sena to DMC mode - will it still use Bluetooth for the connection or will it use the long range antenna on the Cardo?
This worked for me until I tried to get sound out of a Harley boom box with a WHIM connection. I used Phone 2 pairing to the packtalk so I could use phone 1 on the sena to the Whim. The Harley would not send sound to the sena.
Thank you for the instructions. This was helpful. Is there a way to connect two senas to one packtalk bold? I was able to pair both senas to my bold, but I could not figure out how to merge all three together. My bold as a host with the two senas connected simultaneously. It would only let me do one at a time. Any insight on this? Thanks
Just FYI everyone I did this with a newer phone and a 30k and pack talk BOLD and the whole experience was absolute trash. They did n connect thanks to this video but the actual units are completely "irresponsible" so to speak and will not stay connected or zap in and out.
Rather use the Mesh Port Blue and pair it to a Cardo. That connects the Cardo directly to the Sena Open Mesh 2.0 directly. That way, anyone on the Cardo private mesh channel is broadcast to the Sena mesh 2.0 network, and that self mends. My bad. For a 20S to Mesh, need an additional Sena Mesh+ to connect the Sena bluetooth to Open Mesh 2.0 Problem with the 20S to Cardo, it's range is limited to about 30 yards.
hi chris all the other tutorials say that cardo and sena work on a different mash system so won't connect ...but you just did it quick question my normal ridng buddy and me both have packtalk bold another friend of mine has a sena 30k ....if i connect my packtalk with him to the sena when i go back to my friend with the other pactalk will they still connect automatically ? or will i have lost that automatic connection ? also how do i connect all 3 togeather if we ride togeather . hope this makes sense thanks again buddy for the great videos and hi from the uk ..
Hi Chris great video, I've recently purchased a packtalk bold and watching videos like yours helps me understand and operate it. I have a question for you Chris that you could maybe help me with, all my biker buddies have sena 20s headsets and they are all connected in a group chat how can I join them with my packtalk bold, regards NORMAN
Everything worked well except I can’t initiate the intercom via the helmet that was paired through the mobile Bluetooth option. I’ve tried reversing the process and still same results. I’ve even tried pairing both to universal pairing than Bluetooth on the other so that way they each have something under intercom and I can still only initiate intercom from one helmet. Any thoughts?
Hi Chris, Can we connect Sena 10C Evo with Packtalk Mesh (like in the above video)? And how is the connection between them.. (if the sena rider gets disconnected will he join back once in range or will have to connect him again)?? Thx's
It looks like you can only connect two Sena's to the Cardo but if all the other Sena/s in the group are connected to that one Sena that the Cardo is connected to can you communicate with all the rest of the Sena's
Bass Player the Sena is paired in phone pairing mode, not intercom mode, thats two different channels. If you are riding with all Sena’s and one Cardo, you can put the Cardo in regular Bluetooth mode.
So after you put the Packtalk and Sena together into the DMC Mode, how do you join another Packtalk users in the DMC Mode? Sorry but im new to Packtalk. is it just press the top button for 5 seconds more? and after u can join, does the other Sena also join you in the DMC?. Can they hear all the Packtalk users beside me? Thanks before.
Hi, Thanks for the video. Sir, I have a CARDO palktalk and my friends have SENA 30K. I followed the same procedure as explained using APP and also without APP. SENA 30K and CARDO get connected but for only 2 mins and they disconnect for no reason. I tried to reset, I tried to update the firmware but I don't see any progress. CARDO disconnects from SENA.
can cardo do audio multitasking when paired with sena ?, like listen gps from your phone while you're talking with somebody in sena intercom ?, please answer my question, thank you very much. i tried with 10c pro paired with smh10 and do the audio multitasking but the gps/music sound stuttering and skipping. do cardo have the same problem when audio multitasking on ?
This works but after about 30 seconds it disconnects. I have tried this with a couple of the packtalk bolds and two different 30K's and all the same result. Thoughts?
None of this works. I've tried the exact same things and now I got my sena connected to my cardo but all other cardos aren't connected that used to be. And now my cardo won't go back to dmc mode and if it does It loses communication to my sena.
Can a Sena 30k pair with a Cardo Packtalk and then bridge the packtalk into the mesh systems hosted by Sena? I am a lone cardo user in our group and pair with one of the riders on his 30k however, we are unable to bridge me into the mesh network. Whereas say a 20s user paired with another 30k is able to do so easily.
I've successfully got the Sena paired and connected to the Cardo via bluetooth, but as soon as I try to click/or switch to DMC mode through the app it throws me this message: "Make sure unit is in standby. Please turn off any music or radio, and disconnect any active intercom or phone calls in order to switch intercom modes." Any idea?
He shows it in the video, press intercom once (or twice depending on the slot you're paired to) to mute the channel, then switch to DMC. Once DMC is settled, press intercom once (or twice) and wait a few seconds.
If my 20S EVO is paired to PackTalk Bold and on DMC, does this mean I am connected to the entire group that is using DMC or just the one I am paired to? TIA, GREAT VIDEO
4 of my friends have Sena 20s but I wanna get the cardo bold (seems like a better value to me) is it possible for me to join the four of them with a bold or no?
@raoulzg yeah managed to connect with all four but connection was ok. Still can't justify going with Sena. It's old technology, not even waterproof and I don't wanna have to pay extra to upgrade the crappy speakers.
Hey that's a question I was looking for an answer to, I bought a packtalk bold recently and it's a far superior unit than the sena 20s & 30k Like you all my biker buddies have 20s but I'm unsure if I can be connected to there group and how how I actually connect my packtalk to said group, any feedback would be great 🤔🤔🤔
I end up pushing the Bluetooth/DMC button everytime I turn them back on. That worked for a while but now it doesn't. I'm so frustrated with my cardos right now.
After connecting the sena to the Cardo to DMC mode, can the sena rider use their own Bluetooth capabilities, like phone calls, music, etc? Or is the sena rider limited on their own functions now?
It happens (maybe) because your friend that conected via bluethoot are changing his position, or he just disconected. Because bluethoot are just not as good as the DMC, also the cardo manual said it will be work perfectly for a passanger, not your buddy on another bike
Good video. Just one question. I have connected my sena 10U(slightly different) to a friends packtalk like you using the 2nd mobile pairing mode. He can initiate a conversation from the packtalk. But I cannot from the 10u. How do you open a channel from the sena?
This is honestly rubbish. This first parts okay to get the bluetooth connections working between the sena and cardo, But the cardo takes up senas phone slot and stops the user from being able to listen to music or make calls. The Mesh systems are not compatible and DO NOT carry over to dmc once linked. They both run on different frequencies and will not communicate to each other in the mesh mode. 6 of us worked for hours trying all your methods and it does NOT work
