That gas strut idea to lift up the draws is really cool. the only way I can access that space is to pull the fridge slide forward and try and reach behind it so I usually just leave some spare CV's and stuff that I may not use. very cool idea!

Been eyeing on the Pajeros for a while now. Especially getting ideas for a good weekender and possibly a good tourer for a few months. But this Vid helps heaps especially with the gas strut idea and 2nd battery location.

Glad to have helped there are so many good ways to set up a pajero for touring. I highly recommend them, super comfortable on long trips but also a very capable 4wd

Thanks Bia for the look around your paj. I also own a 2011 NT, and I'm a mechanic. Can I recommend that you fit your catch can before you do your intake manifold clean. It will allow time to suck the oil out of all pips first. Ill have to look into the traction control switch. As it drives me insane. Just on dirt roads. Look forward to your next post. Thanks.
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 2 года назад
Sweet yeah will definitely install the catch can first thank you, and for sure the traction control button is so good, it used to frustrate me so much when traction kicked in

For your UHF radio, if all else fails to increase volume, you should be able to plug an external speaker into the back of the radio. GME make them and on ebay they are about $45.

Great video! Massive fan of the gas struts, definitely going to do it to mine when I can be bothered reconfiguring the rear set up. Like the party lights too - are the wired into the dash or just Bluetooth?
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 2 года назад
Thanks, the party lights are bluetooth there's an app that you download to turn them on and change the colours and speed of the flashing

Have a 2010 Rx nt a this was a great vid as mine is standard ; what suspension set up you have or what make thanks , given me some great ideas thanks
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 Год назад
Thanks, it has a 2" kings suspension I don't know much more as it came with the car when I bought it but I have found its sagged quite a fair bit(maybe all the weight I have in my car) so I am thinking about getting a new suspension but I'm not sure yet. Dobinsons seem to be quite good thinking of switching over

Awesome vid. Do you think is TC switch is necessary just for beach driving and how did you go about installing? Haven’t tried the paj on the sand yet. Previously had a Navara with front diff lock and lsd rear so I’m used to just point and shoot driving
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 Год назад
I personally find it necessary for sand driving I did all sand 4wding before installing it and I was still able to get everywhere as long as I had the momentum but if I stopped half way up on a sand hill traction control would stop me from going forward. But with the switch installed I could then take off again no worries, I found it a massive improvement for the little cost it is. It really installing depends on what sand your on aswell like, I went to 5 rocks everyweekend for nearly a year(which can be a lot of soft sand tracks) with no traction control button and made it up everytime, but it was frustrating on the soft sand it would kick in and I would slow down a lot but luckly I always had a lot of momentum going and could gain control of my car again, after installing the button driving the tracks were 10 times easier. But if you will mainly do Beach ttracks like double island point that is super hard sand I wouldn't worry as much, but even so it's handy to have the button for in mud aswell

@TryABaconSlice 8 месяцев назад
Traction control mod less necessary on Pajeros with rear diff lock though right? As rear diff lock disables TC anyway
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 8 месяцев назад
Possibly I'm not actually sure I've never owned one with a rear diff

Hi Bia, I have the option of a 2001 LC Series 100/Lexus LX470 or a 2009 Pajero 3.6 Petrol. Which would you recommend?
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 Год назад
Although I love pajeros and would recommend them highly if I were you I would try and stay clear of the petrol engines as they can be quick pricey in fuel unless that's the engine you want

Any idea about rated recovery points for Pajero 2008 NS? Stock recovery points are alright for 4wd?
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 Год назад
Pajeros don't/ can't have rated recovery points as there is no chassis, while u can use the standard "tie down straps" if your not going to put it under a lot of stress. Having a bullbar and winch is a little bit of a better option in my opinion. But there seems so be a lot of debates about related recovery points, sorry I can be much help

I thought the traction control was turned off automatically when in 4 wd low range ?
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 6 месяцев назад
That's a common thought most people have and what I thought too before I bought my traction control mod, but there is a big difference in performance. It's the Automatic stability control that gets turned off in low
@lesneilson5632
@lesneilson5632 2 года назад
is this traction control different to the standard button that disconnects?. cause I have that on my NT so is this a different way or method
@MichaelOsseweyeijer
@MichaelOsseweyeijer 2 года назад
That Standard button only tuns of stability control(ASC) Vlad switch turn off Traction control, Stability control and ABS
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 2 года назад
As Michael said th ASC is different to the traction control button
@jeanloock4930
@jeanloock4930 Год назад
ASC is the one that's cutting engine power. When it detects wheel slip it will cut engine power. Turn that off if you are driving in sand (or low Traction surface) and the car won't cut power like that. Having said that, the TC mod is still something very useful and I reckon every Paj should have it stock because the TC itself can hinder the car somewhat when you drive on sand at speed. But the TC (with ASC off, auto off in low range) is really good on slow speed stuff. If you know how to use it, it will even dig you out if you get bogged in sand.
