महाभारत के समय अश्वथामा ने अभिमन्यु की पत्नी उतरा के गर्भ में पल रहे बच्चे को मरने के उद्देश्य से आपने ब्रह्मस्लस्त्र का दिशा मोड़ दिया था जिससे उतरा के गर्भ में पल रहा बच्चा मर गया था जिसको देख श्री कृष्ण ने अश्वथमा के द्वारा किए गए इस कुकृत्य पे अश्वथामा को श्राप दिया था की अश्वत्थामा श्री कृष्ण ने अश्वत्थामा से उसका जीवन ही चीन लिया था और उसे समय के अंतिम पल तक जीने कभी न मरने का श्राप दिया था और जिससे उसको शक्ति मिलती थी जो उसके सर पे थी यानी की उसकी मणि वो भी उससे श्री कृष्ण ने ले ली थी और श्री कृष्ण ने उतरा के गर्भ में जिस बच्चे की मृत्य अश्वत्थामा के ब्रह्मास्त्र से हुई थी उस बच्चे को भी श्री कृष्ण ने पुनः जीवन दान दिया था और उस बच्चे ने चुकी परीक्षा देगा इस धरती में आया इसलिए भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने उस बच्चे का नाम परीक्षित रखा था फिर भगवान ने अश्वत्थामा को यह भी बताया था की जब कलियुग आएगा जब अधर्म आपने परम सीमा का होगा जब कलि असुर का प्रकोप चारो तरफ होगा जब सारी नदियां पानी सभी सुख जायेगी तभी मैं अर्थात श्री कृष्ण अपना दसवां अवतार लेके इस धरती में आए जिसे लोग भगवान विष्णु के दसवें अवतार को कल्कि के रूप में जानेंगे उसी समय भगवान कल्कि कली असुर का वध करेगे और एक बार पुनः इस धरती पे धर्म को इस्थापित करेगे और उसी समय अश्वत्थामा का श्राप भी टूटेगा और भगवान ने बताया था की वो मणि तब ही लगाएगा जब मेरे अर्थात कल्कि अवतार आने का समय हो जाए और यही कारण है की जब भगवान श्री कृष्ण के द्वारा कुछ घटना बताया गया जैसे की जब इस पृथ्वी में पानी नही होगा तब मेरे अर्थात कल्कि के आने का समय हो जाएगा और इसीलिए जब अस्वथामा पानी नही देखता है तो वो समझ जाता है को कल्कि का आने का समय होगया है

If anyone asks, should we believe what was written thousands of years ago in books, what if they are just made up stories. This will be my answer: Read it patiently. How do we prove something that happened in past? In history? Ofc we don't have time machine. Historical events are believed to be true by people based on books written by historians only, am I right? And by archaeological evidences. And multiple writings from different people in different books make it more believable. Example: History of India, about Indus valley civilization, what the Mughals did, what the British did, we know and believe everything happened based on historical books, writings, archaeological and monumental evidences. Am I right? The same goes here. Veds Puraans, Upanishads, Mahabharat, Ramayan, etc. these books written thousands of years back with multiple writings by different writers refering to same thing in different eras, the archaeological evidences and monumental evidences that are still being discovered are the proof of possible existence of the events written there. There's still a lot more discovery to unfold, but we cannot blindly say they are false. Just like we learn History from books of Historians, same goes here. Just for reference The historical scenes are reflecting the Mahabharat period. In the end of Mahabharat war, Ashwathama had killed the unborn baby Parikshit in Uttara's womb (Uttara was the wife of Abhimanyu, daughter-in-law of Arjun) Because of this he was cursed by Shri Krishna to live on this earth and suffer (as his wounds will not heal) until Shri Krishna comes back as Kalki. So, as per this movie Deepika Padukone is Pregnant and looks like Kalki is the baby in her womb, so Ashwathama is trying to protect the baby
