We went for a delicious Iftar buffet at Monal, one of the most renown restaurant in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Situated on top of Margalla Hills, the restaurant offers beautiful views of the city.
We went for its Ramadan buffet offering both international and Pakistani food.

Fancy restaurants please, I always used to go to fancy restaurants now I am in US, left Pakistan 5 years ago, enjoying seeing Pakistan from your eyes is fun to watch. Please visit monal restaurant in Lahore as well, it also has Lahore’s best views.

3:30 First time I saw that style of chicken drumstick was when I worked as a waiter in 1999. The chef/cook called it boxing chicken drumstick or something.

rules: 1) always wash your hands ... 2) always eat food coming straight from the stove. Hot and hygienic.. avoid suspicious salads . Also eat mint for digestion.boiled water with Fennel seeds . And one pinch of ajwain (google this spice) its appropriate for the local cuisine's digestion. Love from pakistan

Honestly as a Pakistani even I don't eat sooo much street food like once a week we would order from the street food like gol guppay or something like that but it's better if you eat from restaurant or from home ... Also there is this Pakistani rice dish that my mom would cook for me it's known as khechrdy it's delicious with yoghurt and not spicy😊

Looks like a very nice restaurant. If buffet is available daily in this restaurant, then you must go and taste it. Bringing food to its original form and taste is the pinnacle of the chef's art. @JetLag Warriors... you guys should try Asian wok iftar and dinner buffet. It is a bit expensive but totally worth it. One branch is in bevely centre blue area islamabad and the other in bahria town phase 7

It is expensive for us about 4000 per head, but for them it's only 20 Canadian dollars per head. So it's very cheap for them.

@@afc7237 I hope they are paying for their meals, because a lot of foreigners are free loader, venders offer them food on the house due to Pakistani hospitality, but everything is so expensive now.

@@Regina-Phalange yes street food vendors usually don't accept money from foreigners but I don't think so expensive restaurants let them go without paying the bill. Still food in pakistan is very cheap for foreigners.

As others have suggested wash hands frequently...fried foods are most likely safe...avoid pani puri from places where they don't use filtered/spring water...Steve I believe you got sick from pani puri water. Enjoy your travels guys best wishes!

Stick with fancy restaurants to stay healthy. The street food may be yummy, too, but your stomach isn't accustomed to it. The view from this restaurant is amazing too! Enjoy, guys!

I recommend doing more restaurants. I think it will make your trip and vlogs better since you won’t be sick. Also, you did s lot street food last time, so no need to repeat it this time. I also want to point out that you should avoid mayo salads and maybe even yogurt based foods at buffets. If left out in the intense Pakistani heat, it can easily turn for a western stomach.
