Amar Aul, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, featuring esteemed panelists Brig Devinder Singh, VSM, Maj. Gen. Lakhwinder Singh, SM, and Lt. Gen. Y K Joshi, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VrC, SM. As we commemorate Kargil Diwas and the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War, this session highlights the importance of maintaining peace and stability along the Line of Control, emphasizing lessons learned from the Kargil conflict.
The 2-day long Military History Seminar VIII 2024 was organised at Welhams Boys' School on October 9-10, 2024 dedicated to The Kargil War. The Seminar saw the participation of more than 300 students from 25 schools across India. The students received briefings and had interactions with two of the three living Param Vir Chakra Awardees, the Former Navy Chief Admiral Arun Prakash, MVC & VC awardees, Unit and Corp Commanders and soldiers from the Indian Armed Forces who were the bulwark of Operation Vijay, the defeat of Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999.
