For Pakistan Type 52 DL are more than enough. 64 VLS in it. 32 dedicated to carry and fire long range land attack cruise missiles with a range of 1500 KM. And 32 VLS dedicated to carry 4 Air Defense missiles like HQ 9 in each VLS. We need 8 to 12 such Destroyers. Also Submarines with VLS
Type 55 is not a Destroyer. According to Nato and US designation it is a Battle Cruiser. Much more capable and bigger than a destroyer. Furthermore Pakistan doesn't need a Battle cruiser. As video suggest Pakistan may go for Type 52D destroyer.
I assume same. Next batch of four most likely to be acquired from China in not far future. Heavier tonnage destroyers are needed to maintain qualitative & decent edge over enemy.

Instead of heavy ships, Pakistan should focus more on building small missile boats locally, small boats can survive long war as compared to heavy ships

So Pak navy dire need of type 52D destroyers to nullified Indian carriers and make task force with at least 4these destroyers. These will have OTH radars and intercept ramjet Indian cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles, also provide cover to our subs in theatre and our own MPAs with 300km HHQ9 B SAMs.
If Chinese wants to deploy its destroyers in Indian Ocean or Arabian Sea, they could station them at their Naval base at Djibouti. It could visit Pakistan and other South Asian countries on periodic friendly visits and may conduct joint exercises
First, Djibouti also has the US, France and Japan. Second, a few destroyers are meaningless, only aircraft carriers can control the area (By large-scale ground strikes). Considering that China uses this route for trade with Europe, there is no point in protecting this route if NATO and China are involved in a conflict. So unless China has a major energy crisis or Europe and the US split, a high-profile presence in the region is a waste.
This ship is more or less similar to the US AEGIS Class Destroyers. It’s more suitable for blue water navies, like escorting Aircraft Carriers. This type of Destroyers are not for littoral roles, which is kind of capability Pakistan needs. However, the threats and requirements are constantly evolving, and should acquire this type of ship only if budget & requirements allow.
Pakistan needs frigates more than destroyers but if Navy really want to induct destroyers in future than In that case I will suggest type 52D destroyers rather than type 55

In last two wars Pak navy destroy their own ships, make sure u have Foe / friend system on board. And crew has enough training on how to use that system under stressful situations.

our navy usually use a lot of systems from west, from example we just bought these type 54 ships and we installed radar systems that we bought from Leonardo ( Italian defense company) , so we usually buy it the stuff that is cheaper and it fulfills our requirements, ( Is also cheaper to maintain) , things are very different on the surface
Out future next gen frigates have only 16 vls... Have only 3000 tons displacement and here we defense enthusiasts are talking about aquiring these world class destoryera. I guess we should steer away from these delusions. And wait for like 50 odd years when out GDP hit 1 trillion dollars mark. Then it would be considerable talking about buying these pieces
I don't think Pakistan needs to afford any such expensive and costly weapons to maintain weapon systems. Pakistan has a defensive navy and has no offensive and hegemonic objectives
What if india blockades you ? Nothing is as simple as it seems at first. Maybe it is not VERY important but important to an extent that the navy may consider these heavy hitters
Pakistan needs this as they decided to change from defensive posture to offensive and secondly India has 3 aircraft carriers we can’t let the balance of power shift towards India or they will obliterate the navy in conventional warfare
