Very informative podcast.Before the 2024 general elections, many scholars and professionals wrote in various newspapers, including Dawn, about the slogans of political parties. They noted that the slogans of almost all mainstream political parties were similar. However, the methods for implementing these measures were largely absent. What was most interesting about this podcast was that, apart from clearly pointing out the issues facing Pakistan, Miftah Ismail provided viable solutions and remedies for every sector.

Since Miftah Ismail and Shabbar Zaidi both are enough wealthy persons and both are focussing on education of poors, I would recommend them to take initiative themselves at first end to prove the nation that they will deliver if they are elected.

Well said Mr.Miftah. His opinion and suggestions make sense. Government should curtail its expenses. Rulers and bureaucrats should also practice frugality and simplicity. No justification o increase salaries and perks of corrupt bureaucrats. Rulers and bureaucrats should be cut to size and free electricity, free gas, free petrol etc.should stopped. Everyone is paying indirect taxes in Pakistan.

China share in electricity production is less than 20%.Nawaz Shareef family has share 27% . Zardari family has share 18%. Muslim League and PPP rich people and establishment have 25% share. The rest shares are from Qatri shaikh. Like Mansha is getting payment for capacity charge. Mufta will not speak about the people getting capacity charge.

It's very simple the money Pakistani governments and army borrow from the IMF most of which returns to international swiss accounts. The people of Pakistan have to pay that money back with interest by means of extremely high electricity and fuel prices also making the cost of basic neccessities sky rocketting. But people like this man will complicate things just to avoid telling the truth to keep you in the loop and keep the blame on everything else other than their own incompitence.

I like Miftah, he’s a good honest and sensible politician one of the few ones. But privatisation can not be the solution for every single problem. Education and basic utilities are a necessity for every citizen. Private industry is only interested in profit. There will be no incentive to invest in badly run industries. Privateers will bleed them dry and then walk away with their profits. These government run entities need to weed out the incompetent box tickers who are only interested in holding onto their job for life and not running their departments correctly. If you run a nationalised industry like a private corporation where policies that are actually good for the industry instead of the people with a vested interest, where poor management gets you fired instead of a slap on the wrists there is no reason it won’t succeed

Please make a video on whether Pakistan should declare default in light of the following arguments: 1) Our interest payments on debt this year will be 9000 Billion Rs and are thus more than 50 percent of our federal budget. This is unsustainable because we don't have enough left for other segments. For comparison, this amount is almost double the entire provinicial budget of Punjab and around 4 times our defence budget. 2) In order to pay this massive debt interest, the masses are beimg forced to pay colossal taxes which is making the lives of everyone miserable We would also like to know what the actual impact of default will be. Will our debts be written off? Will be able to import necessities like petrol, medicines etc? What other consequences will there be for the country? Thank you so much!

His suggestions absolutely make sense lekn yeh sb suggestions Govt. se bahar reh k farmae jatay hain. Govt. mein aatay hi yeh log woh rehte hi nhi hain. PDM 1.0 mein toh khushi khushi aa k fuel prices aur taxes barhate thay, this same individual.

Question is that paying interests of coal plants in CPEC and no infrastructure for transmission of the power produced makes the project unviable turning into huge losses ultimately assets going into the hands of financer. In this case coal plant itself having depreciating value , the country is left with damaged huge losses. Against such costly coal plants if Dam would have been built then it would have multiple uses and ever lasting infrastructure.

5000rs each student studying in Govt schools. Large number of students studying in private schools but lower middle class plz add more budget 5000 each student you haven't added in your calculations. Just shut down Govt. School and then check how the private sector will increase the fee structure... So you will have to pay more than 5000 for each student... Instead of just shutting down each Govt institutes try to improve them that's the govt's responsibility. Sir Mifta only wants to privatized each institute so Govt. Have to do nothing just collect tax from the public and do nothing .... Privatize electricity sector Privatize education Privatize Health sector So Govt. with no responsibility to provide services to the poor public. Increase tax collect tax and pay it to the privatized sector and do nothing.....

I listen their podcasts with my phone in pocket and every 2 minutes I have to take out my phone to skip these ads. The reason why the power plant is in Sahiwal is because it's our money, and if in the future Punjab has to separate, we cannot be left with nothing in hand when our money has previously been misused to build dams in KPK, a province that rarely pays its electricity bills. Punjab is responsible for 54% remittances and exports. The next biggest contributor is Karachi. Rest of Pakistan has negligible contribution.

Where a minute! If Mr. Miftah were to continue as finance minister ---- The Memon Cult would raise the Dollar up to 400+. Now, he has been thrown out of the position disgracefully --- So, he is talking like this. We remember Mr. Miftah; the Dollar was 180 around when you took the charge --- And when you were ousted from the office, it was nearly 250 around and the rest was "Mr. Samdhi" did and take the flight to 330+. In short, the flight of dollars from 180 to 330+ was a gamble of different banks, money exchange, and businessmen alliances.
