The point she made about Bangladesh not having International Fast food chains was laughable. There's nothing wrong in that , they might have local chains which keeps all the money inside the country.
Dude, someone please tell me which Rikshaw puller earns less than 500 BDT in Dhaka. However, in term of fast-food chains, our policies are very strict against this. If I'm not wrong Business Inspection already have a video about this topic.

Watching from nepal 🇳🇵 and this shows the superior mentality of Pakistani who are not ready to accept the fact that Bangladesh in current days is much more developed than Pak and in comming 20+yrs Bang. Wil be more developed than Ind(interms of PCI) Bang. Is a huge inspirational country who started with Zero resources after 1971 and now they have become one of the fastest developing country in Asia.
Comparing Pakistan and Bangladesh is not fair.. because we are the fighters..we moved on after Liberation war in 1971.. Pakistani armies destroyed our country during war 1971.. Then we moved on had to work a lot.. On the other hand Pakistan did not face these problems.. So do not compare please..

Overall we captured 4 times more land than Pakistan. It was a handsome victory for India. Even our mother's generation used to wear saree. Salwar kameez is not a Bengali attire. We started using it at the later phase of Pakistan era. Ofcourse we will not be good at designing salwar kameez just like we would not be good at designing Japanese kimono. Similarly I don't find sarees of Pakistan aesthetically pleasing. She should have a look at our collection of sarees, specially Jamdani, Rajshahi silk. She should also do some studies about Muslin cloth, which made Bengal famous worldwide before British stepped in. It used to be exported in all over the world as a luxury item.
You have nailed it, man.I saw her last podcast. She also bluffs that stuff Bangladeshi local clothing brands and textiles can not march with Pakistani brands and textiles!!! Thus how Bangladesh became the world's second largest country to export textile items around the world if Pakistanis are the best! Does she have any idea about Bangladeshi local brands that are literally making products for all the international brands that exist in the world. The quality of any local Bangladeshi brands polo shirts, pants and jeans can easily compare with any international brands but Bangladeshi local brands doesn't have much exposure because they are not going international due to International garments clients agreements and favours of their clients. If Bangladeshi brands going international, clients will not choose Bangladesh to manufacture their products. And does she can mention any Pakistani aesthetic brands have popular customer base outside Pakistan like Bangladeshi lifestyle brand Aarong? More than 35 to 40 countries Import products from Aarong directly.Kurta was introduced to Bangladeshi girls 20 to 25 years back,Saari was their main attires.kurta, and kamiz basically have huge marketplace for Indian brands in Bangladesh.Few Pakistani salwar kamiz is also found in Bangladesh but local brands are coming up so quickly to fill that gap.Within 5 to 10 years you will not gonna find any Indian or Pakistani kamiz and kurta in Bangladesh like other garments products.Me as a related to garment business I know this sector very well but I don't like to provide job for who eat leaves and pierce the leaves before even start eating.

Someone from an economy of 13 IMF bailouts is passing judgment on another economy that doesn't have Mcdonalds. 🙄 Such a weird podcast! Since when did Mcdonalds become an indicator of an economy's well being? 🤔 At least I never learnt about such an indicator in my 4 year long undergrad economics studies. Somebody plz help her understand that an economy's well being depends on the situation of export oriented or manufacturing industries, not on the number of Mcdonalds outlets. More factories mean more job opportunities. Bangladeshis don't go to Pakistan to look for jobs, its the other way around. That also indicates the strength of an economy. Debt situation is also an indicator. Our Padma bridge was built completely with our money. We don't depend on others' alms to build our infrastructure. There ia nothing to be proud of such infrastructure that is built by looting other nation's blood (Bengali's) or by begging from others.
I lost it when she said our designs aren't aesthetic. It's imploring my inner genZ to come out and say That's OFFENSIVE. I personally always wear our local brands and designs with printed and plotted motifs. I love them. It's true that Pak designs have been on the rise too because people these days are drawn to more longer and "more religious" styles.
She sees basic market designed clothing and is now generalising the whole Bangladesh fashion industry lol what a joke there are so many quality clothing I’ve seen myself so not sure what’s she is barking on about. Also we are 2nd largest RMG in the world bought by world famous brands so it can’t be that bad if top brands are buying it and storing it in their high end stores
This is our fault, as Bangladeshis we are too drawn to Pakistani and Indian brands, we do have our own set of designers but we aren’t utilizing them so I am glad someone is bashing us, maybe this should awake our heart to invest in our local brands

I am writing to address certain misconceptions that have been recently propagated regarding Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. It has come to my attention that certain statements made by an individual require clarification and correction for the sake of accurate information. Firstly, I would like to highlight the thriving culinary scene in Dhaka. Contrary to the assertions made, Dhaka boasts a significant number of restaurants, surpassing those in cities like Islamabad or Lahore. The restaurant industry in Dhaka is vibrant and diverse, offering a wide range of options to cater to various tastes and preferences. Furthermore, the income of rickshaw pullers in Dhaka is notably higher than the figures mentioned. They earn an average of 800-1200 Taka daily, equivalent to approximately 3000 Pakistani Rupees. This income is crucial to their livelihood and supports their families, underscoring the significant role they play in our society. Regarding the choice of food establishments, it's important to clarify that the preference for local Bangladeshi food chains is strong among the people. While international chains like KFC are present, there is a notable decline in their popularity due to the widespread appeal of indigenous brands such as BFC. It's worth noting that this preference isn't solely based on pricing, as both KFC and BFC offer comparable pricing. As for education, while acknowledging the strengths of Pakistani universities, I would like to emphasize that Bangladesh places great importance on primary and secondary education. The country has made remarkable strides in establishing accessible educational institutions, with schools and colleges located even in the most remote areas. This dedication to education ensures that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow. It is important that accurate information is shared to foster mutual understanding and respect among nations
You're an example of peak ignorance. I assume you are from india. I have one question for you. Which Indian economy do you prefer? Pre 90's or post 90's? I hope you understand what I am trying to say
Until unless an official "sorry " from Pakistan for the sad event took place in 1971, there will be a very little to no chance to have vibrant relation between Bangladesh & Pakistan.

Yes, she can say that Pakistan's infrastructure is very advanced, roads are very wide, but how Pakistan building these? Pakistan is doing everything by borrowing thousands of crores of rupees and now their economic condition has worsened while repaying that debt. Bangladesh is building big infrastructure when the economy is strong. That's the difference. And remember that Bangladesh is a small country with a large population. So parks shopping malls entertainment places are crowded, Bangladesh is not for those who don't like crowds
As someone who studies economics a bit, I never thought that having McDonald's could be considered an economic strength. She should not talk about what she doesn't even know. It's not only an insult to her but also to the entire Pakistani nation, which is being compared to another nation that doesn't have McDonald's! 😂
This young lady and the channel are struggling to go viral on RU-vid, and they know that as Pakistanis, they have nothing to prove or demonstrate by making videos about Pakistan, but they have a 95% earning potential also the opportunity of viral in youtube with any social media platform if anything they say about Bangladesh .
@KehkashanShafqat Firstly, I would like to say that im really glad to hear that you have settled in Bangladesh and it feels like a home to you. I really hope this experience gets better for you with each passing day. Secondly, although I do agree with you in a few points, I have to say that your some of your analogies on Bangladesh were totally wrong in this interview. 1) We were nowhere near the economic indicators of Pakistan & India even 20 years ago. Today, we have beaten our neighbours in almost every economical field. The growth has been rapid and (specifically) most parts of Dhaka is unrecognisable from what it was even 10 years ago. Just this year, we have opened our Metro Rail Line 6 and our PM is set to inaugurate the construction of another line to be completed by 2026. Then there was the opening of Padma Bridge, and coming up is the inauguration of Dhaka Expressway, Karnaphuli Tunnel (first underwater tunnel in Southasia!) and Dhaka Airport Terminal 3 within the next couple of months (to name a few examples). So to say that economic development is not noticeable here is totally uncanny. Especially since you have lived in Gulshan!! Gulshan and its surrounding neighbourhoods itself is an epitome of how fast Dhaka has developed in the last few years. And im sure it is very different if you compare it to Pakistan in the last few years. 2) I do agree that education here can be made better. My problem here is when you imply that the difference between Pakistan’s and Bangladesh’s education system isnt much despite Bangladesh having better economy (because it is!). People in Bangladesh are significantly more educated than that of Pakistan. Just compare the literacy rate of both countries - numbers speak for itself. Consequently, the women here also work in much larger numbers than that of Pakistan’s and have much lower fertility rate keeping our country’s population in control. One example of this is the population here was bigger than our Western counterpart at the time of our independence. However, now just in 50 years, Bangladesh has 70 million (!) less people than Pakistan. Thanks to our economy which provided our citizens with a better education system. 3) Having foreign brands is a poor example of showing economic development. People just like local brands better here, it’s helps the economy more and there’s nothing wrong in that. 4) What are some things that you can do for leisure in Karachi but you cant in Dhaka? 5) I dont feel like talking about the Rickshaw puller earning 200tk a day part since many people here have addressed it. You are totally wrong about it and I cant get how you came up with that number. They can earn 200tk with just 4-5 rides that usually take upto 1.5 to 2 hours maximum. An average Rickshaw puller earns 800-1000tk a day (it’s even more in Gulshan). 1000tk is almost 3000pkr which is 2.5x more than what an average Pakistani earns in a day. I feel the information you provided was largely misleading. Perhaps you are only partially at fault. But you were just not the right person for this interview. To Daniyal, you are welcome to visit Bangladesh as well as any other Pakistani brother & sisters reading this comment 🙏❤️ Bangladesh is an amazing place for tourists and we would love to host you ☺️❤
Thanks. that was informative. i don't like how she judge from her own point of view. she should have research more about Dhaka and rest of the bangladesh. i have visited Dhaka in my childhood. i have never thought Dhaka can be so beautiful. i never thought this is Bangladesh. traffic jam of Dhaka is a very big problem. but Dhaka is the dream city of most of the people. people always prefer Dhaka for study, business and job. that's why Dhaka is over populated. we have to focus on other cities to reduce the problems of Dhaka. but i love my প্রাণের শহর Dhaka after অপরূপা Chittagong.
I think it is wrong to compare these countries Bangladesh is a rising economy and pakistan is a falling one. India has the 5th largest gdp in the world. These countries can't be compared like that.

Dear Daniyal Bhai, A very warm welcome! Before I begin, I like to say a few words about foreigners visiting Bangladesh and ‘Pakistani’ visiting Bangladesh as foreigners. There are big differences between the two. I will explain. You see most adult foreigners who visit Bangladesh are well aware of the Pakistani occupation and the atrocities the occupied Pak military did on the innocent Bangladeshis. They pay respect to us and give due value while Pakistanis, in general, visiting Bangladesh knowingly disregard Bangladeshis and pretend that they know nothing about the genocide carried out by the cowardly military. Your interview of Kehkashan Shafqat - as a foreigner from Pakistan surprised not only me but as you may have noticed in your RU-vid comment boxes, many have pointed out how she lied and presented completely incorrect fake information. The girl has a habit of lying and her lies are intended to demean and humiliate Bangladesh. As I watched the interview looking at her eyes I could surely tell that she had prepared her lessons very well to present lies, misinform under the guise of a few praiseworthy verses to impress Bangladeshis. Little does she realize that her lies (she follows the footsteps of her forefathers, - Gen Yahiya Khan, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Lt Gen Jamshed) are no surprise. Remember Pakistan’s BEST Friend USA hunting down Osama Bin Laden, the number one terrorist in the world, and killing him and some of his associates in Abbottabad next to a cantonment and the next day Pakistan shamelessly DENIED having known about Osama Bin Laden’s presence whereas he was actually a ‘state guest of the military’. Can you recall the video in which Yahiya denied any atrocities happening in Bangladesh in 1971 and said in his interview with the American ABC Correspondent that the uprising in Bangladesh was just an internal affair bypassing the issues of mass killing and raping of Bengali people. Pakistani leadership has a long history of denying, lying and twisting facts! It's in their gene and Kehkashan inherited the lying habits as she also has the evil gene. When she got the second chance to present her lies to the audience through your channel she did her homework very well attempting to squeeze the misleading information under the guise of a few ‘sweet’ kindhearted phrases. I will give you some links to RU-vid videos which obviously will present you with the right and authentic information. Sometimes I think the people of Bangladesh have a very positive view on Pakistani people and pakistan.. But I feel some pakistanis dont have that good point of view on Bangladeshis.. This is the difference between us and Pakistanis..
Yes look at them. She came for the money. If pakistan is so much better why she applied to be here? She came here. We don't even think of going to Pakistan or even India Nowadays.
There's racism, but it's more class-based and skin-based rather than the actual system-based. Class-based as in you would be discriminated based on what you do, people do look down. Skin-based? Wedding/relationships actually resonate from a social and familial perspective.
Dude our country is full of racism. We live in the system, so we don't understand it. Color, body Shaming is our common behavior. I sometimes see people abusing others saying "Rohinga". How cool is that right?
@@arfazhxss It should not come from someone's mouth who divided their country only based on discrimination and racism. The level of racism in Bangladesh is very basic comparing to other countries. You can ask our subcontinental people living in the west. Desiring a fair wife doesn’t call recism.
@@sifatkhan7056 Nah you're right about the level of discrimination we have, it's not systematic and it's definitely way better than what anyone would face in Pakistan. I am speaking from my experience in Dhaka - we do look down on people and there's definitely class-based racism. Inquiring about one's family origin, regional background, and parental occupations is borderline discrimination. From my observation, Kehkashan is a part of the educated higher-middle common class in Pakistan, who's more exposed to the western side of things and I think she was talking about it from her perspective, not from the perspective of a general Pakistani. Regardless, she shouldn't be considered responsible as the people behind the horrors in 1971 and the years leading to it. Yes, she was harsh, and her experience in her workplace certainly didn't help much, but I think that's because she has lived and worked in Bangladesh and with Bangladeshi people enough to look behind our curtains. I personally would be interested in hearing her side of looking into things, how she viewed certain actions, practises during her stay. I would rather admire a tourist expressing their opinion on their visit being open-minded, rather than being . And I think Kehkashan did a darn good job of that. * Correction on my part from my initial comment "There's racism, but it's m" -> "There's discrimination, but it's m" * Desiring a fair wife is problematic, and I am glad she mentioned that. We are a relatively far modern than Pakistan, but we still have a long way. * Diminishing Hindu population in Bangladesh? We are a secular state, but there's lot to be done.
KFC McDonald’s are basically meals we ate when we couldn’t afford to go to a decent restaurant here in the US, so I am glad to see Bangladesh has rejected such chain expansion, the local food scene is so much better in Dhaka & during my recent trip to BD I definitely saw growth in the food scene in smaller cities too. in Bangladesh eating a home cooked meal is always prioritized over a quick g2g at some restaurants, i went to Bd with a whole list of restaurants I wanted to explore but my family and friends went all out to feed me special meals cooked right at home, I ended up appreciating it more than anything. The education system is struggling but is it worse than Pakistan? Be it Aarong or Deshi dosh or others, local brands are wonderful and they are made per our local weather and aesthetic but yes there’s a huge craze among Bangladeshi women to run after Indian and Pakistan brands, I do hope our girls sees this video and if they have an ounce of pride, they will change their focus back to Bangladeshi Brands. a Pakistani suit will never beat the aesthetic of a dhakai jamdani or our tant shilpo, even in the 90s we didn’t have heavy Pakistani or Indian influenced fashion industry and we did just fine, poverty exists in all part of the world including in the west but I definitely have seen growth in my motherland, can things be better? Absolutely but come on if things were so much better in Pakistan you would have not had to land in a position at our “economically” challenged country
Bangladesh has been developing, not in a fast pace but it is developing u should know that. A country with zero resources at the time of its independence definitely needs time to develop. it's not easy due to various reasons but we Bangladeshis are hopeful.
@@shn1331 uh...you are brainless, don't even know where the title even came from. A country is only given the title when it shows fastest GDP growth. Bangladesh has been named the fastest growing economy in the Asia-Pacific economies, out of 32 countries, according to the latest report published (as of June 2023) by World Economics. On a 10-year gross domestic product (GDP) compound annual growth rate (CAGR) basis, Bangladesh ranked as the fastest growing economy in the Asia-Pacific region and also the fastest in the frontier markets, the report said. I am really shocked that ,you turned around 360 since your first interview 😮, may be you have got large pressure. Bangladeshi Rickshaw drivers daily income around 1000 Bangladeshi Taka.. and Bangladeshis not killing their daughters on the nme of honor killing. There are so many issues in every country in the world. And since you got your independence now you are comparing with Bangladesh. You are talking about International food chain, what you want to prove? You have Mcdonald's ,Sri Lanka have but what happened? You must got pressure for sure.
We watch Pakistani dramas almost everyday and really appreciate it. But what we see in Pakistani dramas?? We observe that Pakistani's r full of dowry. Without dowry marriage is impossible in pakistan. Girls in Pakistan are not aware of education. Thats what we watch in pak drama. Bangladesh is far better than these things. Dowry is rare here, at least we can't even think about promoting dowry through tv series or movies. Our girls r being educated, they r in every sector of Bangladesh. Girls r developing really fast. This girl in podcast have really little knowledge about Bangladesh.
Why u watch pk drama? R they offer more entainment or knowledge than English,Bangla drama, series?I hope not.... In every aspects they r far behind than bd except military. And some of their infrastructure are good that they had even before 1971 by exploiting money from bd. Hope After 2030 they will be nowhere to compare ...

She is working to bring the retail development that happened in Pakistan to Bangladesh, you people hired her because you saw the retail development in Pakistan, watch her last interview
Assalamu Alaikum Danil Bhai, I listened to your discussion well and tried to understand it. All in all, what I understood from the discussion is that the company the sister worked for may not have been a good experience for her. There are many companies in Bangladesh, which are much better than this, which work at the same level as European companies and their practices and work are much better. I think the sister mingled with very few people and visited to very few places. Which is very sad for him, from what he said, there are many beautiful places, good food, restaurants, shopping malls, roads etc. which he has not seen. For example, flyovers, metrorails, underground roads, urban areas etc. We don't support foreign companies, to value the companies and young entrepreneurs of our country. I think he could not properly observe the Baisakhi festival, 21 February , Victory Day, Durga Puja, Eid and fasting.Dhaka is a little densely populated area so its condition is a little worse than other cities. If you come to Bangladesh, you must visit Sylhet, Rajshahi, Chittagong. They are a different city than Dhaka. And Sylhet is called the London of Bangladesh. I live in Sylhet, I will knock when you come to Bangladesh. I will show you some places that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Relax everyone!! She is only sharing her experience and she isn't entirely wrong.Bangladesh is developing no doubts but only a group of people is getting the benifits. The food chain comment was dumb though 😂😂
Pakistan POS area is DOHS (Defence Officer Housing Society) ?? There are four DOHS in Dhaka - Banani, Mohakhali, Baridhara, Mirpur DOHS. The largest DOHS - Jalshiri Abason is now under construction
You're wrong about rickshaw pullers. They don't earn maximum 200 taka a day. Let me give u a small example. I live in banasree and i have to go to bailey road very often. The rent from banasree to bailey road is minimum 100 taka now and it takes 30 min if there's traffic jam. They earn 1000 taka approximately a day.
Interesting discussion, her observations are somewhat correct but has significant gaps. So providing some context on where the recent economic gains are going to: 1) Bangladesh had lot of electricity issue with load shedding in 90s- drastically reduced now with many new power plants. $12 billion nuclear power plant opening next year 2) Dhaka is surrounded by rivers and constrained on road space- it’s hard to demolish people’s home and expand. So instead the city recently opened $ 3 billion first Metro line, will expand to underground and 6 lines within next 7 years. 3) No way to expand roads sideways as stated above- So 40km Dhaka and Ashulia elevated expressway being created on top of train track. Partially opening this year 4) Dhaka airport is old and dated, so new $ 2.1 billion terminal 3 is being built, soft opening this year. 5) A completely new planned town called Purbachal with 8 lane expressway from current Dhaka is being built Now, growth outside of Dhaka 1) 6 km long and $ 3 billion Padma bridge opened last year. One of the longest in Asia 2) Deep Sea Port in Chittagong division under construction 3) Proper expressways construction amongst divisional cities like Rangpur, Sylhet, Khulna etc. are all going on at the same time 4)South Asia’s first under river tunnel is ready to open this year There are many more projects like above going on. The economic gains over last 10 years will be reflected in the coming years… it takes time to change infrastructure and does not happen overnight even if you have the money.
Your ignorance is not our fault. Educate yourself (at a place other than a Sanghi chaddi camp for how to march wielding sticks), p8jeeta lest you find all facts phunnny.
Bangladesh don't need foreign brands to grow up.. If our own brands are doing good then that is enough for our economy.. I know pakistan's people are happy with Bangladesh economy..
Right sir, this is talking nonsense in this part. Then can earn 200-300 in 3-4 hours.Even a rickshaw puller earn nearly about 30000+ a month which is 75000+ Pakistani rupees....
Main point is Rickshaw puller is Living sub standerd life. How much money he is earning that is not the point. Per dozen egg 150 Taka in Bangladesh and 109 Taka in Pakistan.

Im sorry to say this but she should atleast learn the basics of economics before giving out advices on what a country should do to make money . the big major difference between Pakistanis and Bengalis is that one (pakistanis) spends more then saving and anouther (bengalis) spends less and invest more.
Someone from an economy of 13 IMF bailouts judge another economy that doesn't have Mcdonalds. Since when did Mcdonalds become an indicator of an economy, is beyond me. At least I never learnt about such an indicator in my 4 year long undergrad economics studies.

especially in Dhaka city , a rickshaw puller daily income is not less than 500 taka . On the other hand, the rickshaw puller of Gulshan 1 & 2 is not less than 800 to 2000 taka . Your information is not correct regarding the income of rickshaw pullers . Another thing I need to tell you is regarding the entertainment place , there are a lot of places in Dhaka for entertainment and I think more than fifty . Yes , still we have a lot of places to develop, and govt. is slow in there .
It's true that in my country have economic discrimination don't like u say and education system much better than Pakistan in quantity system but quality system may have argue. but it’s not true that a rickshaws earn 200tk per day. They earn atleast 500tk per day.If he works day and night minimum 1000tk easily earn.
There are many mega projects going on all over the country, Where did she live in Dhaka that she did not see any development work. At least on the way to the airport, the elevated expressway and the new airport terminal construction work are also visible
Bangladesh has lots of international food chains like KFC, Burger King, Gloria Jeans, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Khana's, etc. This girl doesn't know anything about the Bangladeshi economy. After China, Bangladesh is the second-largest exporter of ready-made garments in the world. A rickshaw puller in Dhaka city earns up to 2000 tk, not 200 tk, daily. It seems to me that she is jealous of the progress of our country.😅😆

Little knowledge is dangerous. According to you Bangladesh is not developing. Everything is the problem of Bangladesh. Why are you coming to work in Bangladesh? Your country is very advanced, perfect in all aspects. Work in your country. You are good at everything. Your country is very respectable, so improve your country and work in your country. Think about your own country before talking about other countries. Never talk about a country without knowing it completely.
Bangladesh is a labour economy.. The day you have ai in textile manufacturing.. Bangladesh would become a dead economy. Also, with growing islamisation in the country they are on the path of Pakistan.
Misconception... You see, many economies in the Middle East initially started their economy by selling fuel/oil resources. Other significant economies began to emerge even before Bangladesh became a recognized country. When a nation lacks financial resources, it struggles to provide education, which in turn hinders its progress. Contrary to this, Bangladesh, like several successful Asian tiger economies, embarked on its journey with the Garment industry. The Garment industry served as a steppingstone to enhance infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and essential citizen services. Judging Bangladesh's progress solely by its economy, particularly the garment sector, might not reveal its impressive accomplishments. Today, Bangladesh's HDI rank, and SDG rank surpass those of its neighboring countries, signifying a notable achievement. Every village in Bangladesh now boasts multi-story schools, community hospitals, and well-connected roads and bridges that link it to the global network. Importantly, the growth of the garment industry did not undermine China's or Vietnam's economies. Garment sector is nothing but a start-up for Bangladesh. Perhaps with the passage of a few more years, a clearer perspective on this matter will emerge. Wait...
