For a truly indigenous fighter we need to be able to make the engines at home as well. This should be a natural progression for the PAF. Now that China has mastered single crystal blade tech, it will be much easier for Pakistan to manufacture an entire engine from start to finish. All our close allies are able to build engines to some degree with China being able to build the whole thing. It should not be difficult for Pakistan to put all that available technology together into one engine especially if the Russian are willing to help. InshaAllah. 👍👍

Pakistan should get TOT of one engine which will be used in jf17, j10c, j31 and Kaan. It is best cost effective solution one engine for all fighter jets.

@@artsc8405 China's manufacturing capacity is 1000 times greater than India. Even if China cannot produce engines now it will achieve this target sooner or later. Whereas India is too far from achieving similar industrial capacity anytime soon. Remember China is manufacturing Iphones since 2007 and India is just beginning this process.
JF 17 thunder is the best light weight single engine selling jet in the world in near future. Only some modifications needed. Pakistan has to make it perfect for the ultimate menuver like su 57 by moving its single engine direction during close combat.
I believe even if it happens, , it will be same as India making Jet engines for SU30MKI, ,in India .. . . The main question is the level of Technology transfer...

Production/procurement of 300+ engines isn't a small order, Pakistan will need engines for upcoming jf 17s, and underdevelopment program like jf17pfx, So it is very likely that Pakistan may strike a deal with Russians to produce engines in Pakistan since Russia cannot fulfill all the orders by itself due to ongoing russia Ukraine war.
Not to waste time now and start this project soon as possible because opportunity like this seldom comes so avail this opportunity and start making jets engine with tot and later on you can put some money on RND and make it better,at the moment if you start making this engine you will be ahead of your arrival and you can learn so many things with out spending money on RND and must remember we can’t afford everything of our own and this is a God giving opportunities and don’t let it go please……..
If Russia is sharing engine tech with Pakistan which in itself is a huge field we need to look into two options first the Salut RD-93MA For the mig 29 & the JF17 the VK-2500 of the MI-8/17 halicopters. We should request RUSSIA FOR FiCILITATING US with MRO FACILITY FOR ALL KINDS OF RUSSIAN AIRCRAFTS iNCLUDING THE il -76..su-27 /30 yAK-130 We can take on Russian halicopters like the Kamove KA-26/27/30/32 these are unique halicopters if we get tot for the above mentioned mechines it will be excillent the least can be rebuilt/MRO facility of a large scale.we should go for the alligator KA-52 or the MI-28 NE if we get ToT /MrO facility .Like india we are not cheaters or blackmailers we can reach an aggrement which Russia can secure its part by Pakistani law & we get freedom to do which is in our best intrest. This can take 5/10 years because the sanction regeame is unforgiving towards Russia & this is a one window opportunity for Pakistan If we take this opportunity India will be the biggest looser and we will have a source like China in our backyard .We should be a helping hand for the Russians in their hour of need.

RD-93 MA should be provided directly to PAF, for repairs, overhauling, and making some spare parts. China must be provided these engines as well, so they can provide them to PAF, in the event of a blockage by Russia and India. PFX should be the Gripen E equivalent to the current Gripen C type of the JF-17 Block 3. The PFX airframe should be composed of carbon fiber. They should replace most of the aluminum frame. Turkey should provide the technologically advanced steel for it's airframe.
