Pakistani American Artist Shahzia Sikander On Reimagining Painting Traditions From Around the World 

Shahzia Sikander is one of the five artists profiled in our new “Icons” issue. In February, “Art in America” visited Sikander at Pace Paper in Brooklyn, New York, to learn more about her works on paper, some of which are currently on view at the Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel as part of the Venice Biennale and at Pace Prints for her exhibition “Liquid Light.” Here, Sikander offers her advice to young artists.
