*Tributes to Lata Mangeshkar......* India performed Saraswati Puja yesterday and today her soul left her body. Those who know about her, know that she was often associated with Goddess Saraswati, who people believe would sit in her vocal cords. The good thing about Recorded Songs is that, we will never miss her around us and will never be able to forget her. Physical presence comes and goes, the efforts and the body of work which creates a legacy, remains and Lataji's incredible legacy shall stay with India forever... till India exists... till the Subcontinent and the World exists.

Had Lata ji’s father, Dinanath Mangeshkar, lived for a long time then probably Lata ji would not have been the Singing phenomenon that she became. But why do I think so? Dinanath ji was a strict Natya Sangeet musician and a Hindustani classical vocalist and also a Conservative man. Had he lived, he’d have most surely made Lata ji concentrate on traditional singing and wouldn’t have allowed her to sing for films or do Acting (which she did when she was very young). She’d surely have been married off too - and the whole Duniya would surely have missed hearing the melodious Nightingale in human form.

Indian singers used to respect Pakistani singers a lot because they had seen and felt the country's partition, they had a relationship with each other, which may not be understood by the people of today's generation. Lata Mangeshkar belongs to that generation of singers, after leaving this world, a century has ended in the music industry. May God rest such a good soul in peace. ॐ शान्ति 🙏

Blessed to live in the era of Lata Mangeshkar. Grew up having the 1st feeling romance in Lataji,s voice. It was the voice of my idea of the woman,s voice. Be in romance, be in pain, be in happiness, be in soul..it was that voice only. That was the impact of her voice. Great singers, Great artists will come and go, but there was, is and will always one Lata Didi. Feeling like some part of the heart got lost today for ever.

Iman aur Moazzam ji aap dono ko pehle o mera aadab aur namaste. Main India se hoon aur mera bachpan gujra hai Mehndi Hassan saheb ,bade Ghulam alikhan saheb ,nusrat saheb aur Frida khanum ji aur Noor zahan ji ko sunte hue. Lata ji bahut he behatareen gayika thi aur unhe ki tarah hamare do desho ne bahut se nagme khoyein hain. hum sub ko unki aatmaon ke liye shanti banaye rakhna chaiye aman chain ka mahl ho meri yehi dua hai. Lata Aaji was a huge cricket fan, especially of Sachin Tendulkar. She had said in one of her interviews that she likes to watch test matches more than T20 and ODI matches. She's an "old school girl". R.I.P Lata Aaji💔
