Believe me-he is! He’s a massive icon to many people and has written some of the most wonderful books and starred in the most popular films ever. I can never tire of watching, reading or listening to Mr Yates.
What a treat this video! The nature shots, the humble abode's interior, the dialogue between two humans who may have nothing in common but a connection to nature (which is enough.) Love the lack of in your face marketing happening too. I'll have some tea to that, Palace.
Life is beautiful in spite of its setbacks, because I believe being alive is such a miracle... What is to live life? It's to do what birds do every morning when the sun comes out. if you don't reach happiness with the beautiful little things of life... don't expect being happy with the biggest ones. Thanks palace, thanks Adidas for this beautiful video and thanks skateboarding for being part of my life.
The universe is so vast and the Earth is so old that we are so insignificant. But that insignificance is what makes life so incredible. There is no meaning of life, just smile, breath and relax. Everything is going to be ok.
Life is beautiful BECAUSE of its setbacks :) Without the opportunity to learn, where would we be as a species? I hope your next mistake is the best mistake you've ever made....
The slow motion shot of him blowing the pipe and shooting at the bell reminds me of the animated version of the BFG. And the fact he has a dream journal is even more fitting! Cool.
“Chris Yates” and “Adidas” are two names I thought I would never hear mentioned in the same galaxy, never mind video! If anyone knows anything about angling and his exploits therein, you know why this seems incongruous. Class act though, as ever!
The Grandmaster Chris Yates! A true British icon and an incredible writer and fisherman❤️ He held the British Carp Record for many years, by capturing a 51lb 5oz mirror carp from the famous Redmire Pool in 1980.
@@yurilopes420 He’s got no affiliation to skateboarding. To me because of his affiliation to fishing and nature in particular with this colab with adidas being called Nature, I think Chris Yates fits the bill perfectly. He’s written a book on nature fairly recently, and has another one in the pipeline.
I went fishing with my Grandfather a few times over at South Norwood Lake as a kid and on my own back in Essex in the eighties. I never caught a thing, got bored with it and took up skateboarding. 45 and still skating just about 😊 True story. Miss you Grandad 🙏❤️
this was very needed and unexpected. remember to be in peace with urself before u go and remember to appreciate all the small things in life like the tree that has been there for years thru hot days and snow. we all go thru shit and should just try to relax and appreciate life. this was sick
This is sensational. I have his old typewriter next to me and think about this fella every day - a truly wonderful man. God bless you Chris x What a brilliant video!
Chris Yates is an absolute legend, a former British record holder, a lil bit eccentric but i could listen to him for hours. Apart from his fishing records his main claim to fame is the incredible A Passion For Angling TV series, a must watch for any fisherman.
Thank you thank you, I never thought I'd see the day when two of my greatest loves came together like this. The connections are so strong and obvious once you allow yourself to become totally absorbed and emersed in your passions for life. Peace and Love to my brothers 🙏🙏🙏
Chris Yates is the epitome of a true English gentleman, it would be a dream to be able to go fishing with him, And have a cup of tea and lesson to his stories.
Incredible story telling from the master mr yates and what an incredible collaboration from adidas. Totally unexpected. Bringing the joy of nature to all. Loved ever single second
I love to idle away hours fishing and I love to longboard surf and skate. Never dreamt I'd see Chris 'Jedi Master' Yates in an Adidas ad. Beautifully done. Keep walking Chris. ..keep walking.❤👍
Only just found this, Yates is a huge influence, always brings me back to "A passion for angling" anyone who enjoyed this video and not heard of it, go find it
Deja Vu isn't a feeling that you have been somewhere before, it's recognizing that you actually have. When I was in my twenties, I was having a bit of trouble with my Pineal gland & Deja Vu (- Precognition) was a daily occurrence. I thought I was going mad. I wasn't though. It's simply a deeper part of our NATURE. 💚
Two passions of mine blessed to be a skater and a carp angler never thought I'd see Yatesy on a palace video, but for those that like him check passion for angling..
