I was 11 when this song came out. I was still into this music though. Nirvana, NIN, Tool, etc. I’m always curious about the younger generations though…how did you happen upon this song? When I was a teen we used a chat room on the Nine Inch Nails website. I met & got to know so many random NIN fans and even had one guy call me from his land line from across the country. Anyway, his mom called later & was very angry & said that her son was not to call me anymore. It was because it cost her a fortune every time he called long distance.

I'm in my twenties and I think most people my age that listen to "older bands" probably found them through their parents or other family members, but hey what do I know lol

Same except I was like 2 Lolol I remember cus my cousin saw the unedited version in the 90s. And she was taking care of me. I remember the beat and everything that cemented my luv of rock / metal/ alternative etc. I was hooked. I would hum it n she got in trouble with my mum , so my fam would play like pop n Caribbean music to try n stop me from saying some of the words but my grandma would just let me say it Lolol. She said it’s better I get it out and say it, then when I’m older I wouldn’t say it as much takes out the fun of it. Which was basically true lol. Luv Caribbean music buttt NIN was my intro to the world of rock n without it, I wouldn’t b me. This is the best cover version I think. Fucking luvvvv remys voice.

I guess I'll be the first to say that I LOVE their outfits in this. Remington and Emerson look straight out of a Tim Burton creation, and Sebastian looks AMAZING in that skirt. I've never been a fan of this song until now! Definitly gives some Marilyn Manson vibes, but it's so unequivocally Palaye 🖤

As a hardcore NIN fan, I never really liked Closer because it was so damned overplayed, but big kudos to this cover. What a way to breathe new life into this tired track. They made it their own while paying homage to a great musical pioneer in the Industrial genre.

Usually I don't have any faith in 'Closer' covers because most of the time they try to hard to be sexy and completely forget the point of desperation the song has because after all it talks about s3ggS yeah but expressing it from someone addicted to it, someone who is SICK in the head and craves it, and has withdrawals of it, someone's actual vice, not someone whos just horn knee, so I don't like when they just try to be sexy and completely forget that unhinged (and I believe very important) side the song has. But THIS completely embodied that, this was the perfect cover for this song and the only one that does it justice from the ones I've heard. This was next level!
