There already is a ton of paldea evolved at every card shop I go to .. the magikarp isn’t expensive in a psa 10 because it’s hard to pull but because it’s hard to grade … I don’t think the print quality is going to improve

I seen it coming. I sold all of my Paldea Evolved booster boxes for $129 about 2 months ago. I will buy more cases hopefully at $105 a box or maybe $110. If not I'll just keep pumping into 151 English and Japanese. There is always something to invest in.

I did that w crypto years ago. And I had doge and my friend was like sell it cuz I made like 300$. I haven’t really even looked at it anymore. I used to check multiple times a day but there’s no point. Deals will always be able to be gotten

Thanks Alex for the heads up. 👍 One of the two LCS near me dropped their PE booster box to 169.99 CDN while the other one still has it up at 199.95 CDN. It looks likes I will be adding more sealed booster boxes to my investment collection. It could be a mistake I made by going into hiatus for 6 months, as catching up is difficult to do (in terms of best possible prices). As you said in previous videos, booster boxes pre-ordering at much higher prices and after release day, they just go up from there.

Thank you, I’ve been thinking over and over in my head about turn overs or investments. I’ve come to the realization that in my personal situation i have to look for more of an investment than a turn over. I depends on each and everyone’s different situation on where they need to start if they want to get into this hobby. You can’t say you want to invest and then say you want to do a turn around for margins. It’s all dependent of your finance, goals, and commitment.

Also, side note something i noticed with 151 was the initial dump of booster bundles as the reprint was announced. Seems some retailers are reacting the same way with paldea. This will be a great opportunity to pick up paldea.

Lets say, like a lot of people who enter the hobby, I ended up with a lot of swsh collection boxes and etbs along with some older stuff and some bbs and things but what do you think I should do with the lower end collection boxes? I don't know about articles but I am friends with Eli at PokemartUSA and do a weekly podcast with him and he has access to 4 distributors and spends millions a year with them and yes I can CONFIRM they are getting more product and it is open for orders currently.

Likely to a degree but some will likely drop more than others. Pack prices will fall and singles will fall which will affect all of the products. Let's say just bundles and etbs get reprinted though, then upcs and pc etbs will likely hold better because of the scarcity of the product it self and the value of the promos

tbh i bought 151 japanese boosters box from japan for a good price. it’s sealed. I’m just collecting it cause it has mew in it. But maybe in the future i might sell it. I also got a lot of booster packs of Fusion Arts because of mew. I love mew lol. But thank you for your advice. Even though i don’t have a large investment of my cards. I’m just collecting for fun. But will put aside for some investment. even though its small.😢

Love the video! If people cannot stomach a 15%-20%-30% short term correction after a reprint, then people don’t deserve the 2x,3x, & 4x capital gain later down the road. Reprints are buying opportunities. More accumulation that I wish people understood. Great video 👍

Working for a shipping company and Last week we had pokemon products going to companies in different cities and most were only getting one pallet of Paldea Evolved Booster boxes. Each pallet had about 100 sealed cases so I had a feeling this reprint might be happening. Not sure if this means a huge or small reprint but either way

I will admit: my mental modal for navigating modern sealed is heavily influenced by the reprints and price crashes of the SwSh era. Now, I have a long-term mindset, but for any new set that rises relatively quickly in value I assume there will be a reprint. This worked well for Japanese 151, and I’m still expecting it to work for English 151. But, I’d be happy to see the Pokémon company be more reserved with the print runs of their popular product… but I don’t trust them at all 😂 I’m here for the long-term either way. Great video Alex!

One of my LGS’s have a bunch of first drop Paldea yet at $125. Asked an employee how much and she looked up their warehouse stock and said…”a lot”. Hoping the reprint will make them drop their prices even lower to pick up some more first drop cases…
