Paleowolf is a prehistoric / ritual / shamanic / tribal ambient act, inspired by the distant past of humanity and planet Earth. This release is a compilation, an "artist's choice" of the tracks released by Paleowolf so far. It is also my way of saying thanks to the fans for their continuing support of this project. WHERE WERE YOU PALEOWOLF ? ... MY FAULT NOT HAVING FOUND OUT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR MUSIC BEFORE THIS YEAR (2019 - APRIL) WHAT A BETTER WAY TO CONNECT WITH OUR ANCESTORS ... THE ANIMALS ... LARGELY BEATEN ... THIS IS A HOMAGE TO THE SPIRITS OF NATURE ... THANKS A LOT FOR THIS SOUND ... LONG LIVE PALEOWOLF !!!
I don't want to listen to the gentle emasculated voices of the modern singers. When you feel that you can't listen the modern music, you're going here... Ancient forests, deadly freeze, unbearable heat; shaggy, big and strong animals; shamans' stories, old drums, joint dances - all of these things are inside you. Keep the bonfire alive!
Agreed. He has that effect on a lot of us it seems. A blessing in these times, when we drown out the firmament with our comforting lights. Now we have someone to turn to. Someone to remind us we are part of something bigger. I'd rather be a small piece, than a big empty. Thank goodness for Paleowolf.
Hits play and 30 seconds later goes into a trance... Foaming at the mouth, stalking pillows in the apartment.. ready to make the kill... GRAMMERLY HELPS YOU
This music is perfect. It takes me back to a time when my ancestors were brutal and lived for survival. I recently glanced back at my 23&Me results, noticing that I have 246 genetic variants tracing back to a Neanderthal -- I have 61% more Neanderthal DNA than anyone else. As a writer, I may use this information to create a "character" for a story, which actually sounds kind of awesome now that I think about it. The reason I stated all this is because the music is causing some sort of mental recognition of something deep within me, like a million hooks have stuck to my flesh and is trying to pull me apart.
You will find that the more you allow them to pull, the more will make sense about yourself and the world around you. And eventually it will feel like you've been pulled so taut and stretched so thin that you might burst into a million pieces. Let the hooks keep pulling. Eventually, you will explode and find your true self was underneath, and the million hooks were pulling on the armor that had been built around it.
Great music, it hallows to study far more efficiently but in the moment i have free time i will go to the forest and listen carefully for full inmersion
I can't be alone in wishing to live in such a time. I am grateful for many modern things (medicine especially!) But I think we could all benefit from a little fresh air and in harmony with the land. Free from technology, from pollution, from society. A nice reset, so to speak.
Wow wow wow this is awesome! So glad youtube recommended this to me. Could u guys make shirts with this age of the wolf album cover? It would look so cool and i would love to give you my money for a shirt with this beautiful album art on it
Fucking amazing since the start! Awesome compilation! My favorite of the another albums are "Hunter" in the middle, and this first song are like that, I imagine a primitive man behind some plants watching his prey and feeling the adrenaline inyected in his veins preparing him for jump with the spear on his prey.
Exactly what I was thinking, I'm glad you noticed as well. Paleowolf is simply a shitload of soundscape and 3rd party drum VST loops spliced together. It's an incredibly easy thing to do. The marketing gimmick is quite clever as well - make beats with a drumpad that sound vaguely reminiscent to something you'd hear on the Vikings soundtrack, overlay some atmospheric/ambient soundscapes, pay someone to make some kickass art for you, put the ingredients together and voila. Paleowolf. Hey man, if people like it and you make money... Why not?
Óðinn er trylltur! Tá an Dagda ar buile! Perun jest wściekły! The Wolf Age is upon us. Those of us who can hear the voices of The Old Ones welcome it!!
those who are connected with the spirits of our roots a time where technology was not a distraction, only a means to survive, fire, water, earth, air, infusion of these elements to prosper, but in respect to nature not against her. this is where our roots were the most in tune with our purpose. music was symbolic, a channel to utilize the energy of this world ritualistic, but now, modern creation is an escape from the path of the lost. this music reclaims that old truth, it rekindles what was pure. know who you are.
Paleowolf, listen to the "Nortt" band, I think you will like their album "Gudsforladt". Thank you very much for your music. This is my playlist forever.
Honour the totems and the ancestors are pleased. An impressive audio to bring to life pre dawn era wold. Wolf howls are intended to be human interpretations but I would prefer more real animal noises; thud of bison hoof, deer fleeing through brittle snow, bear grunting in the dusk, wolves singing to the moon.
Love this! Just wish the wolf sounded more legit. For some reason it feels like it is Dog the Bounty Hunter wearing a pair of Daisy Dukes cupping his hands around his mouth making the wolf noise on his front porch on a full moon night just after he got done doing that wolf of a wife of his...
Jessica Ferrari lol!! Glad you enjoyed the show Jessica! 🤣 When I closed my eyes all I could see was a shirtless Dog the Bounty Hunter howling at the moon post old lady pound lol!!
This music feels like it fits fairly well with an archaeo-futurist setting, too: the Clans of Battletech, or the guerillas of Terminator's Future War. Whether breathing flesh or perfect metal, the beast compels survivors to enter the same place of instinct and dogged force. Move or die.
Humans from the Ice Age were not the cave men, but the rest of the very highly developed Civilization (HYPERBOREA, ATLANTIS, Ect.) eventually intermixed with the Cro Magnon cave men, producing today's Humanity.
Went to sleep with my four cats sleeping besides me on the same bed... Woke up in the morning to the sound of four Sabertooth felines dragging in two dead cows from a nearby farm :/ Also, while DEAD and being eaten, the cows actually grew into mammoths >_>
music is great and all but i love reading all these comments 'bout ancient forest or wild animals, natures, ect... while most of the writers of these comments can't make a diference between two differents trees or lit a bonfire with woods or silex. dont pretend you'r in love with nature when you can't spend a night alone, outside in the forest without sh*ting your pants
Depends on the specific track. Most parts are recorded live, and then software is used to arrange and polish the sound. Sometimes it's mixed, recording/VST.
