May Allah grant victory to the Muslims and grant the highest Jannah to our martyred brothers & sisters who continue to defend Al-Aqsa against the apartheid state.

What is the nature inherent within Islam that makes it so vulnerable to extremism? My question may well come across as offensive but I can assure you I ask it with sincerity, it is not my intention to cause upset I simply want to learn more on the subject by asking. Thanks in advance. As a side note I am a staunch supporter of the Palestinian people, I have been since the third intifada. I was present at the recent solidarity marches in London and I try my best to adhere to the BDS movement in protest of the illegal occupation of Palestine.
