I’m originally from Alexandria, Egypt. When I was young one of my best friends was a kid from Palestine whom lost all his family due to the war. His name was Ali. That was 40 years ago! Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to travel all over the world for work and now I live in Hawaii. Watching this video put tears in my eyes, right from the moment the host Omar walking down the street said “Sabah Ilkher” translate to “Good Morning” the reason is it just breaks my heart that in this age and time people are still hating on each other because race or religion or what ever. When it comes down to it most people just want to live a good life and peaceful life, all over the world. People should just live and let live, it’s much nicer to share culture and food then to hate on it. Much respect to Mark Weins for going to these places and sharing these videos from all over the world. Im Mexican Catholic no relations to Palestine and even then I can see the injustice happening to the Palestinian people , I pray for peace and it is beautiful to see this video . How cant people see that Palestinians matter just like every human being , what is wrong with the world ?

You can tell Mark is emotionally moved by this visit. Not only because its sacred places but him concluding he has more questions than answers is aimed at the political turmoil. Couldn’t say it at the time because i’m sure he wanted to depart Israel safely.

I can't thank you enough for going on a tour of Bethlehem, the hometown of my family--glad you got to see the Church of Nativity (where my parents got married ;) And impressed that you braved it out to go to Hebron and go to that legendary glass factory, I still cherish the incredible pieces I bought from there many years ago. You are so lucky to visit the holy land, I never been there ever due to the conflict, it seems amazing with all virgin scenes over there, I'm happy that you have met with the Palestinians and tasted our unique food , touched the generous and hospitality of these people. This is actually our tradition to welcome people and take care of them. The most important thing is it's not as bad as the media portrays shows the Palestinians like monsters, killers, or terrorists. I am Catholic and have watched Mark Wiens for a long time and I still remember when this video came about when he just released it. We use plastic because it infuses nice organic flavors and nutrients into the chicken and we always use toxic free plastic to be on the safer side. We don't put the big plate with 10 chickens on the table, because its boring we always use a tiny 8 inch ledge to place the chickens. Its lot of fun when the chickens ends up in the neighbors back yard.
Loved this tour of Palestine, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem. These are places dear to my heart. My Savior Jesus Christ was born there. Your documentaries are refreshing, and you keep negativity out of it.
