I think he is merely saying that if such a thing were to happen then 3 countries would lose their international borders. That is a bad thing. A Muslim world that is United is better than one that is not my friend. In order for Kurdistan to exist as a nation 3 nations (Syria, Iraq and Turkey) would have to be restricted. This is impractical. Islam says do not divide yourselves. My family is from Pakistan. We have Balochistan Provence who are culturally close to the Balochistan Iran people, we have people in KPK Provence that are close to Afghanistan ethnically and culturally , we also have Punjab in Pakistan that is similar to Punjab in India. Sindh Provence is full of Urdu speaking people. All different racially, but United together as a single country called Pakistan. Pakistan acknowledges that every Provence will have culture that is more similar to the surrounding nation adjacent to that border. But we remain United under one policy. When the war was going on in Afghanistan many Afghani civilians were and to this day still do go to live a better life in Pakistan. In Pakistan we have women that wear hijab and we also have women that wear jeans and T-shirts. Women go to school and can vote. Our Former PM was a woman. Please do not let these stupid propaganda people spread hate. I have tremendous respect for the Kurdish people and recognize that they have a distinct culture from that of Turkey, Syria and Iraq as a whole. Their voices should definitely be heard and Kurds should be involved in the leadership positions in their respective country in order for their culture to also be represented in the larger picture which is the future of the country. The reason it is unfair to compare Kurdish independence to that of Palestinian independence is because in Turkey and Iraq the Kurds do not lose their homes for settlements for expats, unlike in Israel. In Turkey Kurds are allowed to practice their faith without restriction because it is the same faith as all 3 of the countries mentioned. In Israel if a woman wants to wear a headscarf the Israeli media will paint her to be hardcore Muslim or a potential threat… Muslim men and women have to go through various checkpoints in their own country in Palestine. Please do not compare the two. Very different circumstances

You think the two can’t be compared because in the case of Palestinians they are oppressed for their religion? Turkish Kurdistan is very mountainous and continental. suitable for neither agriculture nor animal husbandry. There are no precious metals and no oil. There is not much industry because transportation is difficult due to mountanious terrain. Also, half of the Kurdish population now lives in the western provinces, and mixed marriages with Turks are common.

Independence for Kurdistan from Catalonia, we understand what it is to have an oppressed language to protect and to have powerful countries denying self-determination right and willing to erase us culturally.

In order to do that kurds must start a war, which some kurdish groups already do and other countries have the right to defend their sovereignity. Cause, as I said, Kurds have been spread around, but in terms of language connection, racial connection, etc, it honestly makes more sense for me that we’re Western Iranian, both lingually and in terms of groups. But Armenians and Kurds got mixed a lot, especially after the fall of the Ottoman empire. Turks mixed the people so much, that may have caused many Armenians to be ethnic Kurds, and many Kurds to be ethnic Armenian.

Medians continued to conquer Armenia, Lydia, etc. This is just like Turkey for example. Turks came from Mongolia, but conquered Greek land. So why do they claim Turkey to be theirs when it was originally Greek? Kosovo for example. Kosovo was originally Serbian land (but has always been), but a large majority are Albanians, which has led to the independence from Serbia.

@Eiad Aldroubi no one wants land from arab countries. We just want the land we live in. I haven't seen any Kurdish who want to take Baghdad or Damascus. Kirkuk is a Kurdish city. Being in Iraq doesn't make it Arab.
