It was a very very sensitive handling to the dough but the result I achieved is a very very sophisticated biscuits and worth every moment. Thank you ⚘⚘⚘
These cookies look so good! What would be a good substitution for fleur de sel? Also can I bake these without the rings? I got 3 but in different sizes lol
Thanks you for your recipe. Very lovely your are. May i ask, if i didn't add rum in recipe. how about the taste? I didn't have rum in my home. Also, i'm not sure which brand or type that i have to use. Thanks you 😀
Hi Evonne, if the baking ring is bigger than cutter too much, then the size of the baked biscuits will be larger and thinner. But one centimeter is fine. 😊
The colour, the texture, everything is amazing 😍 one thing though, can I just omit the rum/vanilla if I don’t want any extra flavour? Does it affect the overall consistency of the rest of the ingredients measurement?
These look like great cookies but they are an adaptation of the classic palet from Brittany. The classic ones have no rum and must be prepared with salty butter. Salty butter is the trade mark of that region of France. Fleur de sel would also be added. Still the palets look great.
hi! if i make these cookies bigger and cut it thicker would it mean it’d also rise higher and become a more chunky cookie? how much longer do i have to bake it for if i want it to be thicker and rise higher?:)
Because Bretons biscuit contains lots of butter, using baking rings can keep their shape nicely. Or the biscuit dough will be melted and spread when baking without ring.
