Filmmakers of Holocaust-based films gather on June 25, 2024 for PaleyImpact: Preserving Survivors' Legacy Through Holocaust Stories, moderated by Annette Insdorf. Panel topics include: the ongoing necessity of educating the public about the Holocaust; the effect on filmmakers after Steven Spielberg's ""Schindler's List"" premiered in 1993; the need for the arts to create empathy in audience members and expand viewpoints; to what extent the panelists' films may help combat rising antisemitism; if the filmmakers were emotionally impacted while working on their films; what was learned by visiting concentration camp sites for further research; and the panelists' choices for classic Holocaust-themed films and books that still resonate.
