Great video, but you also missed that this game is ment to help everyone. Its a giving game not a competition. I remember just starting out and mining some copper ,a higher level needed some too but realized i needed the xp so they went around and hit each node once so id get the xp and they got the materials they needed too. If you see someone calling out a small flow tree normally that means they need help and theyre new, make sure they get the first hit, as higher axes can demolish one. My point is a mention of explaining everyone gets a piece of the pie when farming will help alot of the anger ive seen by new players and be curtious of the ones around you. If you see a lower level farming, take a hit and come back for the materials, they get the xp that they need and you get the materials you need.
Server hoping for rare resource farming is a bit unfair to common player who do regular spot rotation routine. The Palia team should make this a bit harder to jump around the server, let's say player will be stick at the same server for at least 30 min, unless someone invite them to another server. This wll reduce the burden on login queue as well as there will be less unnecessarry hoping.
True, I started playing during the closed beta and up until today I personally haven't even seen a Palium Ore node........ This is clearly a problem as most players now have reached end game and doing these server hopping techniques that completely takes away from the mutli-player experience.
I just quit palia for other reasons, but the other night I spent 3hrs doing palium ore and flow tree searching after the patch that came in, and there was nothing, I literally watched someone instance hop right as I was coming into a cave stole all the nodes didn't even give me a chance to whack once, and left instance to do it to someone else... The point of the game is to work together. the next night I was a lot more luckier with a group of 15 people on the instance that was willing to share, we would all go to different locations and take one whack, call out which one has the most node waited for others to arrive, and literally shared the loot together... THAT'S HOW A COZY GAME WITH NO PVP IS SUPPOSE TO WORK. we're not suppose to be competing for resources, that's no longer cozy. I just wanted ONE game all these years that didn't cause me anxiety, migraines or seizures, to finally say to my friends, "yes, I'd love to play that with you!" and people like instance hoppers are literally destroying that hope for me.
There should be a timeout for people who reconnect more than once or twice within half an hour or so. Like a login penalty of 15 min to discourage server/Instance hopping
I've seen far too many people appear to be warping in front of resource nodes... when it's really just someone server hopping and leaving if they don't see the resources they want ... They don't even CLEAR the nodes so new stuff can spawn for the people not exploiting this crap... 😞
There's also another mine inbetween Hideaway Bluffs and Windy City - south along the perimeter among the ruins. I always find 2 palium in there cause most people just go to the underground mine to the north
Ive had nodes disappear on me because i was waiting for anyone to show up after i called them out so I'm definitely gonna try this so can finally get enough to upgrade my tools
I love how it was supposed to be a cozy game and yet everybody runs around like a chicken with their head cut off trying to get to the endgame as fast as possible!
Isn't the point of a cozy game to play at the pace that you enjoy. If someone enjoys playing at a faster pace, and then you judge them for how they want to play, doesn't that make you the one who isn't cozy. You could try minding your own business and allowing everyone else to have fun the way they want to. Just a thought

I am very much in the same camp as you, I only log into Palia maybe once every 3 days and play for like 4 hours. Why would I be butt hurt when the comment doesn't even pertain to me
If you want to server hop faster . Have a friend that's at their house walk in and out. Each time, they will go into a new phase so then you can sync with them.
Same here, always back at home. This can be useful if your quick home is on a timer :D but for server hopping it sucks. Its still faster running again to the spot than waiting for it to respawn
Server Hopping is realy a bad way to farm Palium because at the and its a Community game if much people start doing this you just found all the time Empty caves. What is at the moment the case, because people just running for palium what is highly inefficient, you left so much money, silk, Gems and other stuff behind. The Better way is to mine every, singe little stone and ore because palium has no binded own spawn points at all, they share all the same Spawn point, at every little rock can be respawn Palium. So to be most efficient you have to grind everything down and go in a circle what takes you round about 10 minutes to complete to force respawn at the right time. And atleast its more fair to other players because after you go home they find plaium and not just little rocks and ore. Palium isnt that rare, its a myth, you people make it rare because you just go for palium.
Im new to palia and mined it without noticing, I just run around and mine everything in sight and anything purple I call out for others (even if I dont stay). I see so many saying this game is grindy but I just feel its relaxed when compare to games like wurm online which was a cosy game but takes over 1 year of 5 hour grinding daily in the skill farming to get to skill level 70( not even 99) Loveing this game so far and honestly think the devs done a great job so good in fact that i supported them with cosmetics.
@@Hateious yea and Skill level dosent matter at all beyond 20 so its not that grindy. Its pretty chill i realy like that game, the stroy over all is good to. The most grindy part are the flow trees, but with the last update you can grow them on your own plot so its not a big deal anymore.

I also love gold farming in games so the need to constant buy things I like, is like the furniture store I know you can make them but I still use the shop lol. Im in a 3 room house at the moment but can go bigger but just love small and cosy lol. I wont lie when I was going try this game I was expecting at least some mx but the fact these devs want you to pay for nothing and enjoy your time shows there kindness.
Truly hope they ban/nerf server hopping soon. Quite literally the most annoying thing anyone can do in a game that is partially centered around community and teamwork. That or make palium similar to flow trees in that you need multiple players to harvest.

Good video but I'm bit disappointed, in all the servers I been in, we share palium & flow tree cuz they so hard to find, if someone spots palium or flow tree they yell out so others can come take advantage, most are very patient & will wait for anyone who speaks out they are coming. Yeah it slows down foraging a bit but last nite I got pretty good haul & even made couple new friends who also taught this newbie few tricks lol.
After reading some of the comments, I think people need to be realistic in this game, I truly love the spirit of community this game brings. I've had many people wait for me and in turn I have waited for others to share. But be realistic not every time you come by an ore do you have to call out in chat, if you did you would not get much done in game for your own progression. While I love community play, there are times where I just want to zone out and relax and play quietly. If there are others around in your field of view, get their attention or message in game to smack the rock. But expecting folks to wait upwards of 5+ minutes to run around the map to smack a rock every time is unrealistic. Everyone plays at their own pace and plays to get different things out of this game which i'm sure the devs expect. No need to dictate what you feel is "cozy" which is what i'm seeing lately is a term being used in a passive aggressive way to gang up on folks who don't follow rules that aren't set by the game but by some players who want things their way, or to gatekeep a game because someone isn't playing the way you want them to. Cozy doesn't mean every single thing needs to be co-op all of the time. These topics are exactly what the devs need to be given feedback on to balance the game while we are in Closed Beta that way they can tweak respawn times or add more nodes so that majority of players can benefit regardless of whether it's co-op or solo play. This is a Closed Beta not a final product, nothing is set in stone yet, if there are nerfs they possibly are needed, and if they are too heavy handed the community will let them know.
Thanks for your message which I 100% agree with and decided to pin it ^^ your wise wise words are worth highlighting 👌 Some people act like Palia police and judge on other peoples playstyle. For me personally, a cosy game is relaxing and allows you to do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to. Sometimes I like to play co op but I also like my own personal space every now and then. Calling in resources or waiting for people to catch up and farm together every now and then is totally fine, but I wont be that guy whos gonna sacrafice 15 minutes of his gametime to wait for half of the server to show up at one stupid small Flow tree or Palium node. I give away plenty of locations, constantly fulfill requests, but there are limits :D always happy to help (that is why i create guides for the community), but people should relax and not judge on other peoples playstyle or decide whats cosy and whats not. If someone likes to chop trees all day or make food with cooking all cool. Everyone at their own pace! I absolutely love the multiplayer aspect of this game, but also care much about my 'me time' and enjoy just farming solo when in a resource gathering flow. You don't for tiny or medium-sized palium ore nodes for sure, though large ones should deserve a notification and a little time for others to come by. While there are enough palium ore deposits on the map, which can be actually farmed following a circular path, flow trees are a different story. If you don't "target-farm" those, you might only find 2-3 of such trees within an hour (!) and not sharing such trees is clearly a selfish move. However, you can actually target farm these by going to a particular area and chop every single tree there and wait for the respawn. With some likelihood you more or less force the game to respawn trees in that area that have the chance to be flow-infused ones. This way I farmed roughly 200 wood in about 4 1/2 hours. Mid and large trees I always called out as I had to wait for respawn anyways and as such, waiting doesn't hurt. Small ones are usually one or two hits and I ususally refrained from calling these as its also not worth the time of others to go for such in the end. But that method yielded more than enough large infused trees that the small number of tiny ones which were not called out didn't make a large difference in the end.
@@04AMofficial Thanks I appreciate it, I think it's good to remind people that this is a Beta Phase which means many systems can and will be tweaked or changed before the game is in Final Release. Also to not force one style of play on the entire community because you feel it should be that way, some want to play slow, some want to min max and go all in, and both are valid. Like most games, especially an MMO or one trying to be an MMO, things can't be handed to you at request all of the time. Watching videos, reading articles and wiki's to learn systems and shortcuts are part of the experience. In truth we shouldn't have to do some methods that are around at the moment, but that is exactly something the devs should work on to better the game for the entire community regardless of playstyle. Sometimes people are too quick to judge especially when it's in testing where you have to expect things will need to change till it's ready to release.
I usually call out medium/large trees and large modes when I find them because how hard it is for the newer players or people grinding them without server hopping to find them but on numerous occasion there will be douche nuggets that come and pick it up based on the info I provided and disappear while others are on their way. I agree you should play how you want but more often then not the game will fall into the min-maxers style after awhile I see the game fall off at that point ,which most games eventually become server hopping also reduces the chance of players interacting with each other. If you don't like interacting with others cause people suck I agree most of the time but it's an MMO sir It's only policing until you meet someone that makes your playstyle looks like trash or your hardwork to waste
@@Originalsecrets I have a suboptimal farm (not producing the maximum profit) and I do not server hop and yet I am able to find more than enough palium ore and infused wood, buy or craft everything I need/want and have lots of "reserves" left. Sure, people can min-max, but it is not necessary. Even without having over-optimized things going on, my house evolved to a, at least IMO, pretty little forest mansion and will continue to do so once I unlocked i.e. the Gazebo and further items hidden behind those medals. I value the interaction with others over the selfish move of hopping through servers and at times ninjaing large nodes when clearly others are waiting for people to come by. I even made tour-guides for new players through Bahari Bay and showed them the spawn locations of all palium ore nodes as well as rare flower spawn and how to distinguish those from the more common ones and explained them why calling out to the server when spotting some of that is beneficial to all. In Palia, I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. While I do believe that those current min-maxing people will only be a very temporary thing as they, with some likelihood, will jump onto the next game when it releases/they get access to, some people try to make the day of others as terrible as possible on purpose. Not sure why, but these players feel the urge to do that and find their pleasure in their behavior. Btw, was chopping trees a couple of days ago with an other player when we had a little flow-tree streak. Within like 10-15 minutes then roughly 15 players on that shard where chopping trees as they finally realized that by doing this we can more or less force the spawn of "nearby" flow trees and don't have to roam the whole map to find one or two within an hour. And we had crazy amounts of flow-tree spawns. At times we had 7 (!) flow tree spawn right next to each other. This is by far (!) a superior farming technique for that material compared to server hopping and it is a good way to actually play WITH the people on your server :) It seems the more people participate in this and the more tree you can chop and cover a more wider area, the more beneficial this "technique" becomes.
I know, but hey, server hopping is a thing so Ill just share the most efficient way to get nodes instead of waiting for some to respawn for 30 mins xD nobody wants that
They should give a 15min timeout if someone relogs more than 2 times within a timespan like 30min. To discourage Server hopping, I think that causes issues with overly full login queues
This is not in the spirit of Palia, which is designed to be a cooperative game. The player behaviour I have observed, is that most people, me included, announce on the server giving the location when we find a rare resource, then hit it once and wait for other people to arrive. It's actually nice to see that Palia brings out the kindness and generosity of most players in sharing rare resources with others.
Why are you upset xD Everyone plays however they want to play, no judging here. I don't mind calling in spawns every now and then when farming but I'm not gonna babysit nodes all that to be charity for the whole server either. Sometimes you're on one with many people minding their own business, whats wrong about being self sufficient? I like the co op elements of the game, don't get me wrong! I just like to farm efficiently and sometimes involving 10 people to get one node just doesn't work for me :P
Trees seem like the most important resource to call out to the server (plus you can’t do the big ones alone). The ore nodes are super easy to force spawn if you just mine everything in a loop. They will always respawn on one of the nodes.
Kinda have to call out for flow trees but paliums easy enough to find lol. But you could make it co op to be more efficient. You and a group of friends and server hop and when anyone finds a server with nodes the rest of the group goes to that server
@@04AMofficial OK you just lost a subscriber. As I said, not in the spirit of the game. My prediction is that you will quikly get bored with Palia, because you just don't get the basic notion of a cosy chill game.
Another tip that I use together with canceling animation to cut down or mine.. When you are walking or running towards a tree or mineral, jump and click to cut/mine, in the air you will start doing the animation instead of stopping, have your person stay still and then do the animation, this helps me a lot to make quick rotations and not waste time. so, just run to your goal, jump before you arrive and in the air click to hit Now another tip, if you have few worms to fish, if you catch a fish you don't want, let it escape, at that moment it escapes, pick up your rod and cast it again... The important thing is to let it go, so you won't lose your worm, if you leave the hook in the water and don't take out the rod, you will always get the same fish, that's why you have to take the hook out of the water and throw it again to catch a different fish. I have managed to capture the last 3 fishes that I was missing with only 3 glow worms
Not on board with the Server hopping. Also when I find ....more like IF I find a good Palium node, I let the server know, so people can share it, as do many others. Why make this a race to get super rich. Also.... keep making vids about how to subvert the system, so they can nerf them asap.... Goodtimes.
I call in resources every now and then as well, but you're straight up lying if you say do that all the time :D Nobody is gonna spend their game time to afk for 10 minutes until half the server comes to mine 1 Palium node together :D
I am not a liar.....I do call it everytime, If no one replies or shows up within reason, I move on. Way to go though at assuming you know how everyone spends their time. @@04AMofficial
The problem is: people server hop, login queue gets long for everyone, you take way more palium than you actually need, just to sell it ... (try growing crops instead) and you then make the game unplayable for casuals who just want to upgrade their tool with palium and can't find any because the egoistic server hoppers took it all without really needing it because they are greedy. Thanks for ruining the game for most of the players to have a few people think they are outsmarting everyone ...
Half of the video is toxic ... it's "All for One" ... and screw everybody else... You're teaching server hopping ... that's horrible. You just get together with a group of people, be social, and loop around the map and you all take turns hitting the nodes... Who wants to just GET RICH QUICK in a game like this? It's supposed to be Cozy ... not Sweaty Gamer nonsense.
This game is not for impatient players. Too many games require the player to play in a certain way and do it fast and efficiently. Y'all! It was meant for playing together, enjoy together, share time and experience and have fun together. All this in your video kills that. What's the rush?
Hey, for the animation cancelling for mining and chopping, the easiest way to do it consistently is to enable the crosshair in the main settings, once you start the animation the crosshair dissapears, and as soon as it reappears you can click again, this might lose you a bit of time, but will save a lot of time compared to doing it inconsistently.
The persistent cross hair is not aligned with the ADS crosshair so if you get used to that your aim will be off when bunny hopping and shooting your bow.
I doubt that will happen, they already made many people angry about the previous 2 nerfs, last patch was primarily about the shop and people are literally leaving the game because they find the money farm too crazy
@@04AMofficial The money farm is quite tedious, but people seem to be forgetting that we are in closed beta and progression is locked to 2 starting zones. It seems like common sense to me that in typical gameplay, we wouldn't be expected to make the money we need for the larger purchases from those 2 zones. It's like the equivalent of trying to buy a 5 mil gold mount in WoW, but you're only farming mats in Elwynn Forest.
I'm sure you will cover this in your next video but I was curious about the different yields from using starseeds instead of regular seeds I just don't know if I'm wasting money by planting starseeds when I should be selling them
Star Seeds give you Star plants so its 100% recommended, then you will NEVER ever need Cotton (to boost crop quality) or QualityBoost Fertilizer because its already max quality. I prefer Star Tomatoes exclusively and sell them / their seeds
I think it depends on how long you've been offline. If you get kicked and log back in, you should be where you were. If you've been inactive for a bit, I think it sends you home so others can log into a server
I found the tree yesterday i waiting neary 30 min and even run to find people nearby to show where the tree are 😂😂 kinda give me ice feeling to share 😂
In the spirit of Palia / optimizing away at the server hopping bit: if your client is up to date, you can skip the launcher if you create a shortcut to the actual client executable. The client exe is located inside the installation path near the launcher executable
ok ngl watching u mine a cave full of pallium by yourself was pretty painful, but at the same time, i try not to judge too hard. i feel like there's a difference between seeing someone call out pallium and running to get it yourself before they/anyone else can, vs just coming across ore yourself when there's no else around and taking it. (obviously server hopping gives u quite an advantage over us regular players but 🤷 ppl will do it no matter what.) i def try to call out pallium/flow trees whenever i see them tho. i appreciate the animation-cancelling tips tho, will def have to give that a try.
i just wanna emphasize tho, i can deal with it if ur doing it WHEN NO ONE ELSE IS AROUND. just had someone mine this exact cave full of pallium in front of me while i was struggling with lag. they were super rude about it too. if someone's standing RIGHT NEXT TO YOU LET THEM HIT. that's all.
I do plenty of calling in, but trying to explain something while recording, then having to interrupt said recording only to be charity for half of the server is not my vibe - especially because you never know if people actually show up and if they do - how long will it take? People lie to themselves saying that 'they never solo farm', we all do it. Sometimes you just want to mind your own business and make your runs count. I find it nice to help people every now and then, but in the end it matters that you get to achieve what you wanted to achieve during your timewindow playing Palia, no?
@@04AMofficialno i get that u were recording a video, that's understandable. and yeah i have no problem with ppl solo mining sometimes as long as they don't snatch resources right under someone's nose (happened to me earlier today, very unpleasant)
The last time I tried to server hop, I had to wait for almost 2 hours to get back in. I kept getting a warning that there was too much traffic please wait....
I dont get it.. Theres absolute no need to speedrun anything, or be a greedy git who doesn't share palium nodes/flowtrees ect.. Go play WoW for that stuff. Palia should be a place to relax, explore and have fun with the players you meet. This guy completely missed the point of the game imo.
do you know why every time i relog to server hop i'm teleported to the central stables in kilima? even if i'm in bahari and i relog i'm always tped to kilima
Im curious if anyone else has had issues. I used to animation cancel all the time, but it feels like ever since the patch, I cannot get it to work at all. Timing doesnt work, and It rarely triggers when I try to do it. Every so often I can get the cancel, but I cannot chain cancel anymore ever. It almost feels like a connection issue and my client not being properly in sync with the servers, but my internet is fine, and I can't figure it out.
If you want this game to be more co-op focused, that's on Palia devs. Call outs aren't in the T.O.S and cooking is the only incentive to buddy up so far. You can choose how to spend your limited time on the game. Not everyones moral obligations are the same.
100% of the time when I relog, it puts me back in my house. It is annoying that yall get to server hop that like and because of it, I can never get palium. So thanks for that :D
I used to farm starstones for a living but they've nerfed them to a point that I can't get them anymore. Can you make an update video on farming tips please??
all these tricks and things make u sure more efficient, but think of it. Palia is a game where the fun should stood in first place, not to be first or best on server, the more u use tricks for efficiency the higher the risk of more or newer "nerfs"....just the 2 cents of a casual gamer ;)
