In German we usually call these cats Manul, and my husband and I decided that these are the cutest animals in the world. One day my husband told me that he has seen pictures of an animal that is even cuter than a Manul and told me to look up the Pallas cat. 😹 There is no better proof of one's cuteness than when people say that they have found someone cuter than you, and then it turns out to be you.
This is another good reason, why we humans should protect wildlife. Not only they bring beauty and balance in the world. We humans can learn a lot from others species.
Just found this video. I admire these fluff balls. These cats in the wild endure so much. This sanctuary is probably heaven to them. Their kill rate is the highest of any wild cats big or small. I believe it’s 98.9% kill rate this is why they have to be fed with tongs so they don’t associate hands with food. Thank you for being one of the very few people who have put up videos on these beautiful creatures
To pet a cat's pallas, you need: 1. A piece of meat. 2. Medical tourniquet. 3. Mobile phone. 4. Portable refrigerator (for picnics). 5. Pain reliever. Procedure: 1. Call an ambulance at the address where you are (do not forget that the ambulance may be delayed, so the call must be made in advance). 2. Stretch the tourniquet over the right arm above the elbow. 3. Inject a pain reliever (it will take a few minutes for it to work). 4. SWEAT THE CAT'S PALLAS. 5. Distract the cat's pallas from your hand with meat. 6. Pick up your hand and place it in the refrigerator. 7. Wait for the ambulance. (Google translator, sorry)
I love watching Pallas Cats! They are so funny! They look like they are cat shaped foot stools with their wide bodies and short legs. Then they have that look that says, "We are not amused by you!" Love it!
I am so stoked over these pallas kitties. Absolutely gorgeous. Yet fiesty. The faces kill me. Very full bodies. Legs. And raccoon like tails. Angry little faces. That grumpy look. So darn kool. What is that pinkish tree??? I love these cats.
By the time the Pellas Cat diverged from the other felids on the family tree, it already had every small feline mannerism you can think of. And this clip proves it.
There's even a Russian memetic phrase "The Pallas cat looks at you discontentedly and angrily, but simultaneously somewhat sad and even with some bewilderment"
The benefit is being fast as hell while still hyper-accurate. Move, orient, move, orient, move, orient, KILL. Woe to the bird or shrew that catches their eye
Give me one just as it's eyes open and it will be my fiend for life. No problem with raccoons, skunks, ferrets, snakes, completely feral cats...you name it. You name it that all get to love me.
