Love this. Just got into making very basic things out of wood as a hobby, and it's a good skill to learn. I don't want expensive timber to be wasted on my inexperience so I'll pick up lots of reclaimed pallet wood.
Good morning Paul and Thankyou for your valued comments. We're not 'Trying to sell the machines. They are selling themselfs...very well actually. I'll pass your observations onto the lads in the video who work in that pallet yard in Leeds. Oh and incidentally ...they can still scratch their arses !!
The table is long enough not to reach the blade unless you lean over and dont use a piece of wood to push near to the blade. Point taken though....common sense is not common !!
Greetings from the US. I think you have a cool idea here. Wish you good fortune. Oh, good to see Slaters doing good work. Not like those Eastend Slaters LOL.
This Machine is Brilliant...and dare I Say well worth the money for a business that deals in the collection/making/dismantling if pallets for their wood to be upcycled.... I Wood 👈🏼😉 Love to one day be in a position to own one of these machines...Good Luck for the Future...Many Blessings..Much Love and Peace.
Thats a bloody good design! How long does a blade usually last? When I was in this game my boss did get a stripping machine but it was a hydraulic nipping type, the protuding nails had to be ground off in a seperate machine. Too slow and a waste of time. Actually he was a rather silly boss, he switched the water mains off in his factory because the fire hydrant was leaking, never got it repaired. His factory DID catch fire one day, wagons, forklifts, works the lot went up
@@DS-zn6xn Hi and goodmorning During the last few weeks one of our Pallet dismantler owners, commented that they had removed 3000 boards from pallets with one blade, this is by cutting the fixing nails.
I have been working as a bandsaw service technician for 6 months. I have to say the answer to your question is, it depends. My company advertises the blade life for some 8% chrome backed blades as being far superior to most competitors given the competitors use only steel.
I have seen a lot of these pallet dismantling machines in my recommendation recently, but no one video on what all these dismantled pallets are being used for. It would be great if these pallets are stolen and being broken down to sell for parts aboard.
Most pallet machines are used to produce a grade of wood from pallets for recycling in wood walls and furniture. The quantitys of wood used does not lend itself to the odd stolen pallet !! Not sure what where your observation was trying to go....
So then all the wood goes to a guy with a hammer and a punch to get the nail heads out? That wood is useless being full of nail heads, cool design tho!!!.
@@carolineslater7817 To clarify, I wasn't criticizing. Any machine that is misused is a safety hazard. It seems as though the feed tables are longer on this machine than most I've seen on youtube... so I would assume you are less likely to reach into the blade. But again, if some idiot wants to hurt themselves, they will find a way.
@@wintercoder6687 Thankyou for your clarification. As you've pointed out this table is much longer than ones no longer in production. Training helps where other beers cannot reach !
Perfectly safe in correct trained hands. Ive loaded a new video to demonstrate the unique breaking system. TWO SECOND STOP FROM 650 RV. NO OTHER MACHINE HAS AS MUCH SAFETY DEVELOPMENT.
If your selling this machine, you would be better off doing a video without these two morons. Accident waiting to happen. Don't even use a push stick, still putting hands too close to the blade, loose clothing. Anything snags and they are holding it bye bye picking your nose or scratching your arse in future.
Hi and good morning These Super saws are made in my Factory in West Yorkshire, and at the moment they are £12500 plus VAT. Best regards Geoff Slater (Senior Partner)
That are one-way pallets they are often in special sizes and they are made of cheap and thin wood... There are also reusable pallets in Europe, they are very durable, all in exactly the same size, and in most cases you have to return an empty pallet if you receive something on a reusable pallet.
The machine cuts through the nails. The last two machines that were sold were for businesses that recycle the wood into furniture and feature walls in homes.
