This is my first school bus video of the year. This was filmed in January at the same corner I was about two years ago, lots of newer buses but the sad part, less of the type D buses. I still manage to find some HDX's with the MBE engines and one IC RE-300 but the Blue Bird Visions. IC CE handy's and some Thomas C2's were all over, all with the same Cummins ISB and 6B.7 powertrains, kind of boring. The private operator had more varieties. At least seen here are three ex Manatee Thomas FS 65, two ex Collier, one a Thomas FS-65 the other a Thomas EF, three ex Volusia buses. One Thomas EF and three Thomas HDX's , one ex Pasco Thomas 3800, one ex Pinellas Thomas FS-65, one ex Orange Blue Bird 3800 and eight ex Orange 1st nd 2nd gen IC RE-300's.

I like that there is a lot of variety among the bus models. Most of them I do not see in my town other than Thomas C2 and Thomas HDXs though we have gotten more Blue Bird All Americans and Visions lately. Great video.

So do those bus the a&s only do like private schools and do they buy any new buses

@@thelawnbarber9038 yea there mianly for charter and private schools. For them to get new busses it depends on the management for that area. the fleet veries from state to state and county to county with A&S.

10:14 Bus 4106. Lovely sound. Sounds just like our 2011 Blue Birds.

Some of those A&S Transportation IC REs came from Orange County

0:48 I think that sound really makes the bus sound cool, but is that the result of like a turbo problem or something, or does it just sound like that?

omg, i see some of the buses from A&S Transportation are Manatee's retired buses, mainly the FS-65s

You see on the title that it says part 1. Is not a promise but depending on how things go with family time and a busy work schedule I might be able to do a part 2 sometime in the year but will see.

@MarcosAR

When time permits. Hopefully before summer but this is not a promise. I have a very busy life outside youtube with family and work but will see, hopefully I'll get a chance to get something.

Enjoy your vids but as a bus fan, hearing the same engine gets old cuz almost all bus models run Cummins engines and they’re becoming quieter which is also boring. There are only just only 3 different convention models and the about the same for transit style buses. Buses were more interesting and creative within the last 3 decades. I resort to your older vids that has a large variety of trims and engines.

Oh yes. Agree 100%. When I used to got to school in Miami Fl, we used to have all kinds of makes of school buses and many varieties of engines, both gasoline and diesels, standar and automatic transmissions. The buses around my time were built from between 1965 and 1988. Ahh "Good times".

Lol that was before my time, I was born in mid 90s but I still agree. I was fascinated by almost every bus make leading up to 2010, that’s when creativity went out the window and bus companies have kept the same design for at least 12+ years.. some even longer

What about the Amtrans and the Thomas Vista buses, they’re long gone by now

@@MarcosAR I see plenty of special needs buses but what about the ones who aren't special needs
