The gardens are attractive, but need an explanation. Most of the desert vegetation has been recently planted, much of it in unnatural rows. The large building and large green lawn area are obviously for large group entertaining.
Thanks for watching. The Sunnylands gardens are known for their geometric planting. It's not a natural desert garden. The area pictured is the welcome center of the property and it is big enough to accommodate the visitors who are waiting for their tours of the house, or who just want to visit the art exhibits, cafe, and other events they have there.
Very nice, I'd like to know how much water they throw at that lawn every year, but whoever cuts it does a tidy job. I remember when this kind of extremely modernist garden had it's revival in the early 2000's. Although it's pretty severe and not exactly new, it's an example of the beginning of xerophytic public landscaping and maybe other than the lawn, should be kept for it's historical value.
Hi Jimmy. Thanks for watching. I'm not sure which trees you mean but here's a link to the trees in the Sunnylands Visitors Center gardens, which is what I filmed. Hope this helps. :) sunnylandsgardens.org/plant-type/tree/
