PSA just announced Soviet made AK-47s!? Let me know in the Comments what you think about PSA's newest line up to thier AK Series! They announced the other day that they would soon have AK47s built on surplus Russian AK parts kits. This will be the forst release of their Soviet Arms lineup of products. The SA-47 should be available within a few weeks and other products during the next few months.
🔥update: PSA created a Combloc Kit Guns section under the AK47 area of the menu. There you will find Romanian AK builds, Russian AK Builds, and even an RPK.

These do look really cool. I do have a Russian AK in the form of an SGL-21, but that’s more a product of the Russian Federation rather than the Soviet Union so it doesn’t have that retro Cold War appeal. It comes down to price, I guess... not sure I’d pay 2k for retro Cold War appeal.
@BattlefieldCurator
@BattlefieldCurator 2 года назад
Just my opinion that they may be as high at 2k… but PSA is known for having very affordable options so maybe their low end Russian will be under 1500
@hobofactory
@hobofactory 2 года назад
@@BattlefieldCurator you’re very likely right. Considering Rguns is selling 1969-dated Russian parts kits for 1250, it’s pretty certain a parts kit already assembled into a quality rifle should be around 2k.

I kinda understand wanting to build a more accurate Russian clone, and I disagree with putting on a sight rail, but other than that I want one to go with my Romanian gf5.
@BattlefieldCurator
@BattlefieldCurator 2 года назад
My guess is that they put the sight rail to be 922r compliant. And I assume they didn't make an exact clone because it would cost more money.

Nice, but deal breaker is that side rail, just adds weight and never use it. Also, not historically correct. Maybe PSA will listen...
@BattlefieldCurator
@BattlefieldCurator Год назад
I think one reason they made them that way was because they were marketing these builds to the masses and not the true AK collectors. They did end up selling just the parts kits at one time

@BattlefieldCurator

My guess is that it would cost too much to make them historically correct… but they still seem to be hot sellers anyways
@Airsoftplayer555
@Airsoftplayer555 2 года назад
@@BattlefieldCurator right, but for such a rarity offer them as kits and let the buyers decide, rather than ruin a rare kit. There’s plenty of Romanian kits out there for non-accurate US builds for the common shooter. Zero respect to the AK community. It’s a sin. (My opinion)
@BattlefieldCurator
@BattlefieldCurator 2 года назад
@@Airsoftplayer555 I totally agree that they didn’t make them historically correct and that’s a shame. Then the question is, are they making more profit by just selling a rifle rather than selling the kits??? Seems like that could be very likely
@Airsoftplayer555
@Airsoftplayer555 2 года назад
@@BattlefieldCurator from the price point of the complete rifle at under 2k, they can sell the kits near or more than that. I know people will buy them at those highs. Even the less desirable Rguns kits fetch that amount. This will be more profitable considering no labor and no barrels and parts on their end.

Waste of cool kits. I'm sure that they will be well built, but Soviet AKM kits are now rare & expensive enough that building them in anything other than clone correct form is just distasteful. Idc how good those FN barrels are, they look ugly and (combined with the siderail and inaccurate receiver markings) absolutely ruin the historical accuracy of the builds.
@BattlefieldCurator
@BattlefieldCurator 2 года назад
I can agree, the best way to preserve them is to build them as historically accurate as possible. I think is PSA did that though, they cost would be higher.
