A day without Paloma Faith is a sad day. She is so talented. I found her songs and videos just a few days ago, and I am totally hooked. I cant start the day without listening to "Upside Down". She brightens up our lives.
She has a whole Proms evening at the Albert Hall in September. Singing with a 42 piece jazz orchestra. That's going to be the concert of the century. Good luck with that Paloma.
I love this song. I think its send a really beautiful message and is a wonderful expression of the human condition. Its promoting a more tolerant and understanding world. After all we're all in the same boat and many of us will experience similar joys and sorrows. We all just need to learn how to stop judging others, more than half the time we probably have no idea what their lives are like.
This woman is the real deal. She makes music that can stand on its own against the unforgiving instrumental accompaniment of a lone piano. She has great taste in musicians, and "Fall to Grace" is a rare album that is worth purchasing whole because all of the songs are quality.
I know a man who fills his emptiness With strangers I know a girl who drinks herself to sleep at night You can't change her I know people who use chat rooms as confessionals I know down and outs who once were, Once they were professionals Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet I know a single mother who loses her mind On weekends She pleads with lady luck on scratch cards with money lent to her By old friends I know people who take midnight drives for head space I know what they'd give for just one loving embrace Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet We're just the same We all get desperate sometimes Feeling black and blue I know you'll find it hard to accept it sometimes We all feel black and we feel blue Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet I know a rich man who has everything you could wish for But children I know an old lady who talks a lot but could teach you If you listen I know people who believe in gods and demons I know ones who think there's nothing there at all Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet We're just the same We all get desperate sometimes Feeling black and blue I know you'll find it hard to accept it sometimes We all feel black and we feel blue Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet Wipe it off your sleeve Your superiority Don't roll your eyes, my sweet.
personally, this is my favourite track on the album. It's such a huge message for so many people, and from somebody that really realises what she's talking about. Paloma Faith is amazing.
Seriously... The first song of hers I heard was Picking Up The Pieces and I thought 'okay' (I was about 12). Now that I'm older I can finally appreciate who Paloma is - an amazing artist that sings to us, about us and everything. Her lyrics and voice are so powerful. And this song in particular, she sings about one of the biggest problems all of us have and she's helped me understand it through the song. We need more real artists like her in the world. I don't care what you say - she's beautiful.
Paloma Faith, thank you so much for what you did to help our beloved ancestral homeland, Ukraine 🇺🇦 🙏 I genuinely appreciate your compassionate understanding of what was really happening in and to Ukraine. If anyone did come here from Rick the Ukrainian's YT channel, massive thanks to you for caring enough to do so. Обійми 💙💛 Rick's Rollers 🖖💪😉
I love the message of this song. How she sings it too. We should not to critize other people so much, and just understand that we all try live life according to what each of us believes is right and everyone has different cirscumstances and needs. We all have our flaws, we all get desperate, we all come to feel black and blue.
She's just so unique and her voice is just different to everyone elses. Her voice is incredible and the lyrics of the song just burn into your heart like magic. Paloma Faith has such a wondrous voice!
I love playing your songs Paloma...over and over you have such a unusual voice and its mesmerizing... Im in Australia l would so love to see you sing live. You are my favorite female singer.
La descubrí en un programa de televisión por casualidad, y desde ese día no dejo de escucharla. Su voz es maravillosa al igual que sus vídeos. Por favor ven a Chile, te amo.
I found her not so long ago. Just in time.. She saved my soul... mon cher.. tu m'as sauvé. ma vie a été assombrie par la tristesse, mais votre voix est mu soleil. Je t'aime Paloma. merci de partager votre talent. oui vous êtes mes âmes de survie à coup sûr.. I found you when I found my brother dead from suicide. I died with him in my heart, My mind was numb. I cried myself to sleep and woke to you singing in my ear. It was the song only love can hurt like this. You knew. I didn't hear anything else. I didn't hear my pain screaming in my ears. All I heard was you and I knew that I wasn't alone in my pain .. Others felt different kinds of pain. And I made a vow to help others be ok and show them tgey aren't alone. That is how You saved me my dear. And now I know That God gave you the voice to save others for you saved me. And I know you don't know me and I don't know you other than through your beautiful music. But I love you still. And I thank you a million times for saving me. You don't even know what you do. So beautiful. Such Devine talent is Paloma!!
Im totally stucked on her voice as well as any words in any songs she sings. Keep moving forward. I really look forward to hearing many masterpieces of this voice
She is fantastic. Th e first time I heard this song I had to learn how to play it on guitar. This woman has real talent, great execution and stage presence. I love these "acoustic" versions of her songs. She is sooooo good, she doesn't need all of that studio production. I love her!
I was crying at night, being all depressed and sad when i heard this song. It made me cry so much but because of this song, now I feel so much better about myself. I thank Paloma Faith so so much and I will always be your fan. xoxo
Such and underrated song. This brings me back to my senior year... I performed this during intermission at the queen of queens pageant. Ugh take me back
Utterly brilliant. Beautifully sung, and a very profound lyric. I literally bumped into her on the street once. She has an incredible charisma. I can't describe it but you can just feel it.
gooosh! nicki and paloma are two waaay different artists. it is not possible to compare them with each other due to their total different of genre within music..
Fell in love with this woman's voice when I first saw her perform on jools holland, new year 2010! I love the little eyebrow thing she always does when she's finished singing!
Two years ago, there was this song: New York and I thougt: Wow, that's prett cool! But then I forgot Paloma and this evening, I discovered her again!! I'm totally impressed by her voice and expression!
Today was the first time I heard this lady sing on "The View", and this is the 8th or 9th song of her's that I listened to and I love. I must buy her CD.....I love the words and stories that she tells in her songs.
This world is fucking filled with underrated really good artists! It is reallly fucking sad, when people who just make playback are so freaking famous.
I love Paloma Faith she is a great singer her voice is amazing! It's nice to find artiest like her who actually know how to sing unlike other people who are famous but can't sing at all.
