I've seen others perform this and some versions are very technically correct, the pirouettes were very clean, lines and extensions were beautiful, the smiles were also beautiful, but there was no connection with the audience, no charisma, no life to the dance. Some even made the steps look too segmented because the focus was too much on the technique. Paloma's performance though, felt like she was telling a story of her walking in a park after a spring rain and she was enjoying the breeze and the flowers and someone's music from a radio in the distance. She made me want to dance in the rain happily. She really DANCED this dance. Not just performed it, but truly danced it. No wonder she won a lot. She's one gifted dancer.
Ah so beautiful! Paloma did this variation the best in my opinion! Everyone was great but her stage presence and the way she uses the space is so so gorgeous! 🤩
J’adore😊
