This theme fits Palpatine so perfectly. His dark mystique, his cunning, his unquenchable depth of knowledge of the dark side and his lust for power, his mocking disdain for the Jedi, the way he absolutely revels in his confrontations with his opponents. He's so deliciously sinister. He defines the Sith.
Thank you. Literally thank you. I agree wholeheartedly. Palpatine/Darth Sidious is one of the greatest characters the entirety of Star Wars has ever produced. The music and actor help a lot also, one can't really imagine me saying that without all three people (Lucas included) being involved. George Lucas, Ian McDiarmid, and John Williams bring the story to life. Especially Ian...idk how Palpatine could possibly have been better without him.
@@ghostsade3 Agreed, McDiarmid did an excellent job the way he did Sidious’ laugh and the way he gets so enveloped in his character with moments like revealing himself to Anakin as the sith lord, tempting him to give in to the dark side. I love all of the SW theory surrounding him. Palpatine is by far my favorite character.
Even though it was stupid and not well explained at all, you gotta admit you were at least a bit excited when you first found out Palpatine was gonna be in Episode 9
@Worcestershire Sauce I think the jedi has good intentions. Maybe the force itself is kinda evil or exists in cycles just to toy with mortals or use us for its own development regardless of the dark or the light the Force is always acting in accordance with its own laws and views which are largely incomprehenisble. The jedi and sith are both slaves to it.
Yes its really relaxing, and something else too which I cant figure out yet. I know that music and voices that are relaxing in this way trigger an ASMR effect, there are youtube channels that focus on trying to trigger ASMR in different ways using whispering, meditation music, rain, candles, tapping and scratching and anything they think that could trigger that same feeling.
@@therookie8872 I was beeing sarcasting, by pretending to identify a famous episode 3 quote as a quote from "episode" 9. Also While the quote itself is no actual spoiler, I gave actual spoiler for that "episode" in complaining about it being a spoiler. Stop writing long winding comments in response to meaning less RU-vid comments ;) (This time I added the corresponding smiley, to prevent further misunderstanding)
I love how all of the music in revenge of the sith and it’s counterpart in clone wars season 7 have underlying tones of unease, foreshadowing of order 66.
I always like to imagine Palpatine is so evil and demanding, He hires a small group of Mongolian throat singers to follow him around and set the tone as the personal soundtrack to his everyday life.
“The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some considered to be unnatural”......... yeah, like picking stuff up or moving things without touching them? That’s unnatural.
What scares me about this scene...is how relaxing it is. You would think that this talk about darkness would be done in a dark and lifeless place where you start feeling the creepiness, but in reality it is presented in this relaxing place with mesmerizing images, so you don't sense there is something wrong. Well, that's precisely how Anakin was dragged into the dark side.
"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? Anakin "no" I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."
*If the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise actually WAS a story the Jedi would tell you* Palpatine: Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? Anakin: Yep. Palpatine: I thought no- Wait, you have?? Anakin *Boredly*: Sith Lord who was so powerful he could manipulate midichlorians and create life. Keep people from dying. Yeah. Heard it a million times. Palpatine: Did... you know that his apprentice- Anakin: Killed him in his sleep because he was a punk-ass little bitch who knew he couldn't take Plagueis in a real fight. Yeah, they teach us that shit week one as Younglings. And yeah, I'm aware that YOU were his apprentice. It's pretty damned obvious. The whole Jedi Order has known for years. We've been trolling you. Palpatine: Uhh... I have to go...
Me encanta
I'm pretty sure it's not mentioned in the lore but it's probably with great satisfaction knowing that Romeo Treblanc's Opera to be influenced by Sith culture due to Palpatine's intervention.
Palpatine: The dark side of the force is a pathway for many abilities some might say are natural Anakin: Is it possible to learn this power? Palpatine: Not by a Jedi...

Chancellor palpatine & Anakin Skywalker jedi Knight/The Chosen One was talking at the opera about Darth pleadge the wise on Corrunsent in Revenge of the Sith.
I love how ominous yet calming this is. If Anakin is a twisted space Jesus, Palpatine is definitely a space devil. Perhaps some version of the devil that was never even an angel to begin with. 🤔 All of this just makes it 50 times more disturbing that the grandchildren of these 2 dudes ended up having a cheap and contrived "romance"
Hi ! Some people know an fact from the voice of this men ? :) Thanks for your help, i know Star Wars have really hardcore fan, i just need fact of that :)
I don't get why they wouldn't have at least a few people that are both Jedi and sith. To utilize all energies, in order to help all who exist in this universe, and other universes. I'd absorb any energies after transforming them. Then, use it to calmly teach.😑😔😑☯️
every time i listen to this i want to educate the Ignorant fools of the true power of the dark side In reality and show them how strong it goes and how powerful the sith really are in our life. sith being code name for something most people dont think exist. Ah the dark side. It corrupts absolutely only the few are strong enough to resist its lure and most of them are killed by the sith.
