@@Mr_Reaps25 getting 2 chances at the drop per boss is not a true double, sure, but it is a linear chance increase. It increases probabilities of you actually getting the drop; which is a direct increase in the chances of getting it. So you're both wrong and right. So am i, for that matter.
The Lifmunk upgrade glitch has been fixed and the enhancement is working normally now. They also fixed the bug where the stat reset medicine wipes your lifmink upgrades too; so you can reset your stats without also wiping your catching enhancements.
Great tips, I'm coming on over 200 hours right now(and this isn't my job!). Another note on the condenser, hitting 4 stars on any Pal does raise their Work Suitabilities that they already had by 1. Example: Menasting has a 2 in Lumbering and 3 in Mining, upon hitting 4 stars it would have a 3 in Lumbering and 4 in Mining. I've bred a number of Pals at max workspeed Artisan/Work Slave/Lucky/Serious with full souls investment bringing them up to 195. However a level 3 in a work suitability, no matter how good, will never touch a level 4. The difference in ability really is that large. That being said, picking up Pals which already have a 3 or 4 in something important to base functions and investing them each to the fullest star value is easily one of the best long term investments. With workspeed not being randomized with IVs like Attack and Defense it's probably the most no brainer thing to do. Just 1 perfect Blazamut made me over 200,000 stone in 1 day. Running multiple Frostallion Noct, Jormuntide, and Lyleen in tandem on Wheat/Berries should net you 2-4 stacks of each per day depending on how much time you spend at the base "overseeing their operations". You can buy Eggs and Milk from the first merchant in that first small village near the Kingpaca spawn. Leaving you just Honey to find to get cakes for breeding.
you can assign Beegarde to a ranch to passively farm honey, same for eggs (chikipi) and milk (mozzarina) and even berries with Caprity if you don't want to make a berry farm lol That really just leaves the wheat.
@@ericsalsbery4363 Caprity doesn't drop a lot of them from what Ive seen but I havent gotten very invested in it to check if a full farm of them would out produce. Honestly two Berry Farms seems to produce several hundred berries within a few days. But also if you have a Berry Farm and a Caprity it will drop berries in Ranch and also plant seeds at the farm.
Something that took me way to long to realize is the existence of the dismantle option in the build menu. I was using my tools to break shit that i built😂
Thanks for all the helpful tips! I also have a small tip for you… when you were selling nails to the vendor, you accidentally clicked “buy” instead of “sell” you then exited the menu to restart the dialogue to click “sell”. However, you can swap directly between buying and selling by clicking the “buy” and “sell” buttons at the top of the screen once you have the shop open.
For now it’s best to just back out and go in again bc there’s a shop bug. I went to switch from sell to buy in the pal merchant shop and it was only showing me the last thing I had clicked for selling instead of showing me the details of the pal I wanted to buy. Then when I tried to buy it anyway bc he was just a feeder it took my gold but gave me no pal
I finally found the +2 thermal and heat resistant shirts in dungeons, feels great to just be able to put both those on and never have to worry about heat or cold ever again
Hope you get the defense pendant +2 soon. They effectively almost double your defensive stat. Great for surviving at the harder bosses. With 2 of those and a green heat/cold pal metal armor and purple pal metal helmet, I'm already at 1.5k def and the shield reduction also scales with your total def, meaning it'll slowly chip away instead of chunks getting removed with low def as you get hit multiple times.
O.o didn't know there were better shirts.... I need a cold one at least as I was already doing his thermal strat but at night in the tundra it's STILL too cold... I caught up while fighting Frostallion and had to let him sleep till morning to finish him or I'd have died to cold... The fire types I was fighting him with needed swapped out to heal so I was stuck for a bit. Probably should've had a FULL fire team but I didn't have decent ones and I like diversity.
@@nonaG123 Night time in the frost area on the continent with Frostallion is a level 3 cold area. You can tell if you have enough heat/cold resistance by looking at your temperature gauge. It shows the levels. If you don't see any red or blue, then you are set for everything. However, I haven't found any level 3 fire areas yet.
I love the game but man it doesn’t feel relaxing to me. Think I need to get more used to just doing my own thing and letting the base mostly take care of itself. I’d heard so much about resources being tight and needing tonnes of ore that I now have way too much of everything XD
Note to future people, the Lifmunk Effigies capture rate problem has been fixed. With more testing when it was bugged with larger sample sizes, IT DID NOT LOWER YOUR CAPTURE RATE, as so many people thought it did. What it was actually doing was raising the visual numbers you saw, saying it was raising the capture rate, but when it fact, it was doing nothing at all. So people thought it was doing less, because they saw a big number, but was not capturing very much. With the people that did 500-800 sample size tests instead of the original people that only did 100-200 sample sizes, those were the results. So in the end, when people said not to upgrade their Lifmunk Effigies as it lowered their capture rate, that was all hearsay and not the truth at all. IT DID make it hard to tell what your actual capture rate was because of the over inflated numbers though..... Anywho..... all of that is fixed now. Both visually and mechanically working right.
I turned pal spawns to max to farm pal fluid. I'm a respectable lvl 38 and got mobbed by 3 of the biggest groups of gobfins and died by the teleporter lmao!
the natural land bridge location between the two low level islands on the right side of the map is actually better for farming pal fluids, because Celeray usually drop 2 pal fluids each, and theyre like level 1-4 so a crossbow is enough to one shot all of them, whereas the gobfins only drop 1 pal fluid, and theyre level 20 so you need may need help from pals. i personally prefer riding around on a land mount(flying ones wont auto pickup the drops that fall in the water), and ride around crossbowing all the celeray i find, and running over all the pengullets. theres teafants there too but they only drop one, and they cant be run over... so yeah, natural land bridge ftw!
A few things about the tips in the video. 1. I can see what you are trying to say about making a multi-tiered base for more space, but from what I understand there are a lot of issues with pal ai pathing and pals just straight up not doing certain things when they are on base flooring or have to work on multiple floors. Would be a great idea of the ai in the game was perfect, but it seems to me like it would cause too many issues such as pals not eating, not working, getting stuck, etc. 2. Yes, the undershirts are a good early game tip, but heads up that for the most extreme environment of the game, the frost areas, you need a total of 3 cold resistance if you are going to be exploring at night. So, yes, you can save more materials early game by wearing the heat resistant armor and two cold resistant shirts, but late game it's better to wear cold armor and two heat resistant shirts since the highest heat resistance requirement is only 2 vs 3 cold. It's a lot better if you spend just a little bit of time looking for the higher grade blueprints of these items so that you can truly walk around completely free of any environmental damage. 3. The ammunition tip is great for all weapons up to the assault rifle, but keep in mind that for late game you DO have to farm sulfur for gunpowder for the rocket launcher ammo because no merchant sells rockets. Alternatively if you don't want to farm sulfur you can hunt tocotocos in the desert areas, especially near Anubis, as they drop gunpowder as a common drop. 4. Selling nails is an ok way to make money, but you NEED that ore for a lot of other things, most things in the game really, especially when it comes to upgrading your base, crafting new weapons, repairing your equipment, etc. It takes hundreds and hundreds of ingots to fulfill these requirements, and don't get me started on the ore requirements for crafting higher tier pal spheres. I never have enough ore even for basic needs since I'm constantly having to craft refined ingots and pal metal. A better way to get money without having to sell nails is just every hour go around killing all the world bosses that you can easily take out in a couple of minutes each below your level. They all drop 'precious" materials that can be sold for a high cost. Even when my character was around level 20 or 30, which is when you start getting the stronger firearms anyway, I could farm up easily 50-100k worth of precious items to sell to buy ammunition. It doesn't take very long and lets you save all your precious ore for other things. Unless you just want to keep your game running overnight in an ore farming base to build up a few thousand ore that way passively so that it doesn't really matter. And if you are spending time leveling up by catching 10 of each pal remember that an easy way to make money is just selling all the extra pals that you will never use and can easily get a few hundred k worth of pals by the time you reach level 50.
Quick tip regarding Butchering your Pals. If you've noticed a lot of the time the resources fall through the floor or grass. Some of the landscape dose not work correctly & even in your base if your on ground floor you might have problems with dropped items clipping through the floor & falling forever. I've found this is cut out completely if you just go to the second floor of your base, that way when the items fall they can land on the 1st floor for your Pals to collect. Make it quicker by putting your butchering station above a chest so when it falls it lands closer to the chest your pals are taking it to. It never feels good to butcher your pall & not get the resources 😅
Another potential Pal Fluid farm I've found is going to the 'Lady of the Lake' Azurerobe boss fight area at night and just skimming around the lake on a fast flying mount. Since the Pals there sleep at night you can quickly execute them with one sneak attack and keep moving, with enough space that they respawn as you make your rounds along the lake.
Only a few things to add. At night in the snow biome you need 3 levels of cold resistance. And if you need to move a lot of stuff from one box to another you can left click and hold a stack then exit the box and walk to the other then let go of left click in the other boxes slot and you will drag that stack from the first box to the second
in regards to the intro, ive met the travelling merchant and saw that he sold a blueprint for bunny ears, ive been wearing them ever since i could afford them :3
I recommend to open the chests in Wildlife Sanctuary to see if you get the Undershirts before buying them. They drop there frequently. You probably want to go there anyway to get Grizzbolt and Petallia at early levels. These can be breed into Lyleen and Orserk. The Heat Resistant Pelt Armor has more defense then the Pelt Armor so with the Undershirts you will also be more protected overall.
@DerGote79 I know but it is not free like the ones you will most likely get from Wildlife Sanctuary. You want to go there anyway. I forgot to mention this place drops Technical Manuals quite frequently. So I visit them once in a while for those reasons.
I do wanna mention, the normal undershirts add lvl 1 of Heat/Cold resistance. You need lvl 3 to be completely immune. So for example, in the Ice Mountains, with 2 Cold Undershirts you'd be immune to cold in the day, but for night, you need Cold Resistant Armor. I don't know if there are any better undershirts tho. Also, a tip that the game teaches you right at the start of the game, but you may forget after not using it a long time, is if you're having cold issues for example at night and don't have a flaming Pal (aka a Fire Pal that has body parts actively on fire), you can always build a fireplace from wood (which you can easily get, especially if you carry the axe around). Having a flaming Pal also has the same effect if the Pal is out, with the advantage being that the Pal moving with you means you don't have to stay stationary or rebuild the fireplace to move.
@@Misstajay True, but why would you carry a torch after getting the Lantern Accesory, and you need a workbench to craft it which makes the process of making one on the go complicated.
A tip from my experience. When farming the legendary schematics from the world bosses. BRING THE PAL THAT MAKES THE TYPE OF BOSS YOUR FIGHTING DROP MORE ITEMS. I farmed multiple of them probably about 100 times and got nothing, even when butchering them after capture. As soon as I brought the Pal with the Skill I needed it dropped first time most times.
9:07 another way to avoid the Sulfur grind is to snipe Tocotocos with a musket. You can usually 1 shot them, and they drop 2 gunpowder, while 1 gunpowder is enough to cover 10 Coarse Ammo
The armor trick doesn't work on the colder areas at night. Found this out while facing frostallion. Had pal heat resistant on plus 2 cold shirts. Was doing great.... Until night lol. Just letting everyone know
I can totally confirm that the statues of power decrease capture power. I thought it was just me or it had to do with leveling and such, but Reddit confirmed it as well. EXTREMELY frustrating, because I found out at level 40 haha. Well, going to start a new game with the new update anyway.
They actually fixed this with the February update, but you need to be able to invest into another boosted level, before it takes effect or else it's even worse again haha
Um the palcondencer upgrades aren't a static 10%. Some of them have insane growth. For instance Depresso's is 2x speed at level 2, but 1000x at level 5.
the 3 to 4 star upgrade of the pal condenser also has a 2ndary effect, all the workerskills of your pals get one level up, so you can make rediciolus pals even more insane. most barn pals normaly have a barnskill of 1 and i feel like their output has rediciolously increased since getting them to 4 star and adding one level.
Workspeed doesn't affect farming pals, only partner skill level does. An artisan Chikipi doesn't lay eggs faster. Only a condensed Chikipi lays more eggs. And yeah it's a decent boon. My Chikipi and Moozarina are rank 3 (2 stars). Catching like 21 easy pals is pretty easy. The next level is 50% less improvement for 50% more cost. 2 levels for 2 pals vs 1 lvl for 32 more pals. Would be worth if there was more stuff to really grind hard for but rank 3 makes me ingredients for cake fast enough I cant cook it fast enough
The beach waypoint directly southeast of the gobfin beach is better for Pal Fluids. The pals there are lower level and easily die in one hit (even with my strongest pals, the gobfins take at least two hits from CT2 skills). You can easily fly around and kill them much faster even if they are slightly more spread out. Using Orserk is also not recommended. You cannot mount him, so you'll be much slower and either have to waste ammo when you could be doing it for free, or waste even more time ordering Orserk to attack (by throwing his ball at each gobfin and then waiting for him to do it). Also given the cost of crafting pal spheres, it's very rarely worth capturing pals just to butcher them. The several spheres you use probably take more time to gather materials for and create than it would to just find another world boss and kill that one too, not to mention the extra time doing the actual capture and avoiding accidentally killing it, and the time doing the actual butchering as well. If you do just happen to have some alpha or lucky pals you don't want anymore though, butchering might be worthwhile.
That has terryfying implications for anything like Anubis and Lyleen...Does a suitability of 5 exist? That would be terrifying to imagine. What would 5 in minig and gardening look like? Heck, all rounded 4 is scary enough... O_O I guess that is now my new goal...perfect Anubis, Lyleen, Felaris, etc., here I come. XD
@@LiamDerWandrer haven't bothered with trying to get 5 work suitability tbh. Breeding pens are just too broken (pals break and just go to sleep) to bother breeding enough pals for it.
Didnt realize until today about the skills increasing from pal machine. And i have gotten both jorguntide variants to lvl 5 skills. Now i have to work on a leezpunk to help dungeon finding between boss spawns.
mid to late game fast mining/logging, don't use a pickaxe or sword. use lily's spear have a pal with mine foreman or logger foreman and use crouch cancelling to really speed up your mining/logging, hold down the attack button and time pressing c (not too fast or deals no damage) absolutely chews through ore nodes. if you really want to bring this to the next level, breed any of the mount pals that increase your weight by 100 (Kingpaca, Mammorest, Wumpo Botan Ect..) with mine foreman fill your party with them
For the condenser, at their max level, they also gain +1 in whatever task they have. Example: Jormuntide would go from Watering 4 to Watering 5 when fully condenced
Speaking about bugged capture rates the sphere launcher is probably bugged too. Like when using it vs throwing the spheres. I haven't seen anyone talking about it so I was wondering. Anytime I use it I can almost never catch anything I even have trouble with Lamballs and yes I am even factoring in the bugged effigy boost because I can still catch this normally if I throw it.
Anothr huge tip is that the passive pal skills that boost certain drops work against alpha pals. Cycking lunaris and kinpaca just once a daily is s good for farming civ parts for
Lol you set up your base in the same spot as me it really is perfect and the terrain makes a nice choke point for raids plus the red forest looks so badass
Time for a update. Thermal shirts don't stack anymore. I use refined cold armor with a heat shirt and a farmer's hat generally as mt obsidian has some of the better pals (jetdragon too)
I always turn off incubation timers, in my opinion having to set aside a base for milk, honey, egg, wheat AND berry production just to even breed two pals, i don't feel like waiting 2 hours for something to hatch when i already have to sit around for like 10 minutes while they breed.
Best place to get pal fluid is the southern most fast travel, by the lowest level preservation island. All level 6 or lower water types that get killed in one shot by any low cool down move. Just wrap around the beach. No wasting ammo on those level 25ish gobos.
Changes that I would like to see. Dungeons. Why are they all the same?! And I don’t care for when you leave an area it fills back up. It can get confusing in some caves. Boss mechanics, and the boss rooms. Why is it go in and kill? And why do all the inside of the towers look the same? Why not have an objective that makes the boss stun lock for high dps? Like you have to throw a special grenade to cause the boss to stagger. An object tab in your menu. Some players get lost or lose sight of the main story, and that’s great. But it would be nice to have a tab with the main and side quests. Speaking of Side quests. Put some in! Make the rewards worth it. Keys, gold, a new pal, schematics, or accessories. Flesh out the story line. Why are we going to these towers. We need more dialogue. Finally, make a final boss with a pal that can’t be caught or hatched until you beat him. Once you have, you get his pal. Also, elaborate on why the tree is the key….. 🌳 🔑 Can’t wait for this game to be finished. Love it so much!!
I don’t understand why my base with each floor being 2 levels high just didn’t work. The pals just got stuck everywhere and couldn’t do anything. I had no choice but to abandon the base and I didn’t know about building deterioration back then so when I got back, my castle was gone 😞
same happened to me, though im not sure if it was because i needed wider stairs. But I know the pathing starts to break after one extra floor, so sky scrapers dont work as wanted without manualy setting pals i think.
If your base deteriorated, then you may have built parts of it outside the circle. The parts that are outside can cause pathing problems since the pals can’t really move outside of it unless there’s an attack. Other than that, there’s also a possibility that you may have built on a location with bugged pathing like some areas on the Marsh Islands
I couldn't multi level build until the 1.4.0 patch now I have 3 floor mansion that's the entire size of the circle/boarder each floor is 2 walls high and I delete the flooring just above where the stairs start on the previous floor & my Pals don't get stuck I turned off deterioration and only have stone defence walls just outside the circle
There's a glitch where you can catch a dead pal for a few frames. On a low level, it's usually 100% catch, then you use a partner pal you know can one shot, and then time your throw with the attack hit. you can catch it after its already dropped its loot and then butcher for triple drop.
i like that you can target the walls of giant blue boxes with hook, and then there is hold with mouse trick for full run speed. i always remove walls from stairs after building bc pals are dumb and get stuck in closed off spaces. there is actually a hat that gives you heat resistance too. worst part about sulfur is it's never near other ores, nails are great
So you are saying all this time I was grinding the lifmunk effigies to level 9 + 17 inhand is absolutely working backwards 😭😭😭 God I hope it gets better soon
As a casual player with no more than 3 hrs a week to play, I really appreciate the Minecraft approach to creating a nice and easy world where you feel op
actually the finding that happened with the effegies was that gping to 10 does increase your capture rate, but the number shown is higher than what it really is by about 0.77x whereas at 0 your capture rate shown is lower than what the actual capture rate is by about 1.33x and their conclusion was the get to 5/10 effegy levels and stay there because at 5/10 the capture rate shown is almost identical to the real capture rate
This is how I got my lego recipes - you only forget to have your pal out that increases drops against type while butchering them for more chances and item drops.
Also no, the best ammo, rockets, still requires gunpowder, which means toucan farming birds that drop gunpowder , or mining sulfur. All other ammo can be purchased with gold. Rockets cannot, but rockets are absolutely worth grinding for.
I used my Condenser as soon as I got it. I caught 600 Gofins at Gobfins Turf and used them to make a few 4 star Gobfins. They raise your attack power and it stacks. It was a phenomenal power boost.
Best way to farm Pal Fluid is to NOT kill the Penking in the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings dungeon. Enter the dungeon, kill the 3 pengullets, exit the dungeon. Rinse repeat until you have as much Pal Fluid as you need.
To increase efficiency in farming gobfins, you might want to breed the Orserk with Swift, Runner, Ferocious, and Musclehead. Then assign the attack "Air Cannon" because it has a very low cooldown (CT:2) and tracks extremely well
I leave that pal appearance rate maxed out. Trying to get a vanwyrm at level 20 was too much of an adrenaline rush so now I have to commit or I’ll never feel that again
Another effective way to farm pal fluids is to govto the penking prison and and only kill the little mobs. Once done with the mobs leave the prison without killing the penking then head back in. The mobs will respawn since the Penking isn't dead. This of course can be an issue in multi-player if other people want to kill the boss. But it is more effective at lower levels.
I’ve already done a few lifmunk effigies to statues, I hope that the patch undoes the debuff as well as makes it buff in general. I’d hate to have a bugged save.
First base was standard and would need to redo it for verticality. Still a great passive farm. Second base after getting repeatedly burned down (tried setting up near volcano for eggs), set up a stone base and just finished with the second floor.
Actually knew all of these. But it's a great list. And if there were any I didn't know, I'd certainly be glad to know them now :) Also, update: ~effigies bug fixed~ for anyone who didn't know yet :)
The worst heat and cold areas will hit you with three levels of each. You need the +2 heat/cold underwear to not have to worry about being anywhere. But then you sacrifice things like the defense amulet +2 with gives you a 30% bonus to defense. I'm up over 1000 right now. Makes a huge difference.
In my server I set pal spawning to x1.7, which feels just right. We tried x2 first, but this doubled even bosses and made some areas unplayable (Hey, want to fight 4 legendary centaurs at once?!) I also raised exp gain and item drop rates a little to speed things up. It's honestly impressive how much customisation is possible.
Really disappointed to her about lifmunk effigies not working. I have maxed this out and having it not only not work, but nerf you really sucks. Hope this is in the next patch.
Something I haven’t heard about the pal condense that I discovered is that on the 4th star all of those pals jobs gain one rank going from 1 to 2 kindling for example but that means if you want a master crafter Anubis get him to 4 stars and his crafting becomes 5
I dont recommend the undershirts since you sacrifice accessories slots that could do you significantly better (like boosted health or defense). i would suggest using them just in the early game where the pendants arent particularily effective yet.
so there's actually a faster way to farm pal fluids. the kinguin boss fight has 4 penglets that spawn with him. kill the little guys leave the boss alone And re enter and the penglets respawn.
The difficulty sliders get overlooked so much, when hosting a world or playing solo the game is only as grindy as you want it to be. I think most players aren't used to the amount of flexibility this game offers and don't realize they have the option to adjust pretty much everything.
Oh...I didn't know that butchering world bosses actually acts like fighting it that's awesome! I've killed so many of the blasted things and I have yet to see a legendary drop. Also anyone know if there are blueprints from the rifles because if not that's vary stupid
for the undershirts i can just switch between the two since i have a +1 thermal and a +2 heat resistant and i have normal armor (no strong heat or cold resistant) so i can have a extra slot or other stuff like attack pendant

Yup, haven't, and wont butcher pals. :P Good to know about the Gobfin farming area! :) There are a lot of good areas for Pal Fluid, but that seems like it's probably the best. Also good to know about selling nails too.
The fastest way to farm Pal Fluid for me is to set up use the fastest non legendary fire bird. Use the 2s CD one target fire attack and the multi hit 6-7s CD attack. Then roam the low level island south east of the volcano biome without dismounting. And you'll kill 1 water pal every 2s on average!
