Man I appreciate you not cutting the "this location" part, because it's an absolute mood when trying to edit videos + trying to talk properly. Thanks for the informative video!
I love this channel already, the not cutting out of the “this location” is amazing, the random stuff like “hello jormuntide” while still being informing and really well put together. Best Palworld channel lmao
I love that so many pals are useful in this game, you really never feel like you are wasting your time playing around with different work combinations.
2 things can be improved on i think is using Astegon instead of Blazamut because Astegon also has lv4 mining and can work day and night w/o sleeping. For the beds, fluffy beds takes less space and if it's not enough to keep pals sane, you can add 2-3 hot springs to make them happier as well. This may only take up a little bit of time from their daily job but it costs way less than the large beds and less spaces.
Helzephyr instead of Ragnahawk too. Its also Night active and Transport lvl 3 is its only Job so it does it 24/7. If you have an Jormuntide Igni you dont need more than one Station anyways, so no need for more Pals with Kindling
@@fuchsmichael93while you aren't technically wrong it doesn't hurt too much, plus ragnahawk is a lot more easily obtained than helzephyr. I agree to replace it though once you are able
I did it with a broncherry and relaxasaurus cuz you can get those early on easily in the same area. There's a calculator online for doing breeding. Each PAL has a breeding power, you average the parents and whatever power their score gets close to is what gets spawned.
@@Felnier it’s pretty busted since I have like 5 Anubis and like 3 more eggs to hatch as well. Sweepas and tombats are easy to farm good passives on, I have one with artisan pretty nice.
@@Hecadon20 Artisan Anubis with the lvl 2 Trait on Top are amazing. I have three of them at once at a workstation, you dont even see the Bar fill up, its just instant Also dont sleep on Food, when it says increase Workspeed "slightly" it means +30%
You can also get a ton of random fire pals once you unlock flying. All you have to do is get heat-resistant armor and fly over to the volcano zone. Even if you can't catch anything there, there are eggs everywhere, and they are super easy to spot from the air. Just from one trip there I got Wixen, Bushi, Pyrin, Ragnahawk, Suzaku, and Vanwyrm. If you're looking for good pals, I would recommend skipping all the common eggs because you can fill your inventory while going there
Palworld has a great community. Everybody is making effort to share information and discoveries. Great video! Keep up the good work! Really informative!
I was thinking about setting up a mining base on this mountaintop soon. So finding this video to help lay out the base, including the wall to grapple around is massive! Thanks so much!
Interesting tip which prevent alot of my pals from getting stuck.. Put their bed near their work area Theres no reason all the beds need tk be the same place.. the less travel the more work.. put beds by work area food in the middle unobstructed and never put anything within 4 foundations of the back of the palbox
@@infiltretor287 It tends to glitch pal spawns and ruin their pathing AI. Sometimes even just having foundation within that range breaks the pals depending on base location.
For some reason my pals working downstairs go upstairs to eat and my upstairs go downstairs to eat, even though they walk right past the upstairs food to go down the stairs
Be careful with the South of Swifty Ore Patch. because of the lake area the Pals LOVE to fall into the lake. If you are playing SP change your settings before loading the world because buildings outside of the Blue Line decay - with that odd you can cover the whole lake area to make it nice and safe - also gives you more room for things like Fluffy Beds and 2 hot springs (the lvl 31 one) to keep sanity high.
Rly awesome video the only thing i would recommend you to do is making time stamps so ppl can comeback and watch the part they need to know for their current situation
If anything they need to add MORE base locations with a decent number of two types of nodes. If they patch out the one decent location most will probably just use mods to fix it. If they at least add some way to link base inventories it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but the whole needing to over encumber and grapple around for resource management is crappy at best.
Not related to this video but, dedicated servers were running way better yesterday. I’ve got 30 hours on mine and it’s awful today. I remember you mentioned the lag on stream.
i've seen a few of your videos now, good information. Thanks! You do need to work on your editing, however. This is not the first video published with overlapping edit scripts. Clearly an area where multiple takes were necessary. Otherwise, great information!
Very informative video. I found this same double ore location but couldn't quite figure out how I wanted to build the area. One note; I wish you had done a top down fly over of the base to be able to better see exactly how you built it. Would have been super Helpful.
the base location at 8:37 has been my main base. it's a bit tight because of the lake, but nothing a vertical building layout can't "fix". I got mine the coal manually, and there's even a single sulfur node northeast, just outside the bounds of the camp. it's proven to be amazingly productive, although it does require a bit of manual mining of the player to cover for the nodes just outside the reach of the camp. and 0 NPC raids ever reach it, so no issues in that department. since it's my main base, I got boxes next to, or at least, near, the resource's origin. This has proven to fix an issue I've had with the carrying pals stuck in a loop of picking and dropping resources without ever delivering them.
@@ChristianX205 You don't really. You build a bridge over the small river portion. With walls. Then wall around the lake and build upwards and over as far as you can to second story. You lose space having this base. But I still like the area. Note that you should build on the opposite side from the ore. Place the Palbox so that you can cover all but two of the farthest Iron Ore nodes with the radius. Placing on the other side gets you quite a bit more space that's not wasted over the cliff.
@@grantlawrence4600 This is exactly what I did, except I didn't wall the lake, I did some platforms on the shores that are just high enough that building a stair down allows the stair to touch the water. It limited the number of times the mons would stay stuck... but it mostly works only if the mons working at the base are floating or flying.
@@yochitoranaga Yeah, either way you have issues. Even with the walls limiting walkers, any fliers still typically find a way into the water :D Hopefully pathing improves.
The node-bases are fine resource-wise and one of my bases usually tends to go to one of these, but they're never my main honestly. I tend to have my main base somewhere that's well protected and has some utility. One of my favorite locations is the far north of the Lyleen tower. It holds a dungeon, a black marketeer, a good egg spawn, free chest, flat ground and strong linesights on raids. Another one I really enjoy was right outside the dungeon of Twilight Dunes, which isn't flat, but doable and there's just stuff happening there with potential free loot, and one raid pattern has to make such a big detour they can't ever make it in time. I tried a few in the city region of Astral Mountains, but they're incredibly buggy (even the big one with the 4 chests, although you can make that one work and its super strong once you figure out why things bug out), especially at the "entrance" where stairs have constant clipping issues from the terrain for some reason (if it weren't, it would've been my main cus its fun and somehow stops flying raids on big trees, and I need to farm chillets).
Hey just a quick note about the location near the Sealed Realm of the Swift, there is also a single Sulfur node here. Just walk up the rock ramp at the lake, keep going straight and over the first outter ledge of the lake, you can see it next to a tree from the top of the ramp if you just look straight!
Best way to get anubis from my personal experience ( got it around level 20 first time playing ) is by breeding azurobe and a vanwyrm you can get both at around level 17 ish
Getting to the point where i need quarts and sulfur... I am not sure i deem a base location so unnecessary. but i dont have the full understanding of these ressources "reach". also i dont beleave that we are supposed to have such a great coal/ore base either based on same experience as yours. But i would rather have a sulfur/coal base than Ore/surfur or Ore/Coal even if its only 1 note of a type. Love the vid. informative. Good stuff.
Im having such a struggle getting the builds to line up for to place the bed area as neat as you have. i hope there's a update to the building system soon.
Might not be the best video to ask but I've got a question and I can't seem to really find a direct answer online. I'm planning to use Anubis as my "Mining" pal..Do I want to breed for max work speed or do I want to breed damage onto them..I say Damage since we see the damage numbers? but hell if I know to be honest lol
no waaaay thanks a million. having to navigate weight restrictions by cheesing moving around with the grapple tool is CONSTANTLY a pain point for me in this game.
At the first base when you say "you just have to be very careful about not despawning any of the ore or coal nodes" are you saying just be careful not to build on the spawn areas of these nodes? Manually mining them will still allow them to respawn correct? Great video btw!
Check out -32, -167. Got ore, 1 coal and 3 rock and trees, also a sacred tree. It is also close to that last desert spot you highlighted so it’s close to plenty of sulfur, coal, fine oil, electric organs and gun powder. Also I think it’s raid proof at the very least easy to defend.
Trying to get content out to people as fast as possible both to have the guides available and to be the first to post capitalizing on the rush of players has its drawbacks. But all the content is there so who cares.
@nothingjustdust5617 ehh it's not that serious. He is one of the most competent in explaining things in this game, in my opinion. Plus, very funny. I did a double take thinking it was my phone fucking up.
I doubt the ore/coal spot will get removed. I think it's more likely that they will add more ore/coal spots, and/or add an ore generation tech (either an ore mine that works like the stone mine, or crushing stone to ore seem to be the popular suggestions). If they add ore generation, having bases on massive ore deposits loses value and you can just build on coal or sulfur instead
Hey Tag! When you have the chance, could you make a vid about beautiful base spots for aesthetic reasons and not efficiency please? No one has made a video about it yet so you will be the first yet again :)
by far ragnorhawk is better than fire jormuntide. you were right with the first kindling option LUL. jormuntide is situational. if you have a VERY open base. but then you maybe aren't taking advantage of your limited space best. otherwise a constant fight with it getting stuck, sick, etc.
Tip for saving space , you can build up as far as you want and still be productive , i built multiple floors in my base area to space everything out. Aswell as a 20 storie 1x1 with the big beds , the pals font have to physically sleep on the to rest , as long as their in the base they will work , instead of having 20 large pal beds next to each other , condensing that into a 1x1 tower is a massive space saver, and large containers for storage can also be stacked ontop of each other
The desert beach where anubis be, is where i made my main base 1 its mostly flat, 2 many egg spawn locations, 3 abundance of ore, coal and sulfur all within a not to big area, and quarts is just 1 shore line away
thank you i was able to make a base in official multiplayer server at the same place where you made yours, before that i've visited 4 different locations from another video but they all were taken, i assume this one wasn't because it's further away, already have full 12 pets on it mining/gathering/making food, i have no use for coal yet on my level (24) but hopefully it will come in handy later
So it's not a base location for ore or anything like that, but there is a raised metal platform i found that i'm using as my general base for breeding and farming things. it's raid proof, and has just a perfect amount of area within the raised pillars that are around it's edge to be within the circle of the palbox. after watching another video that was saying you should make a single base for something like that, but in a different area that was also flat and near a beach. though they said it had never been raided, i still like this base i found in the metal ruins which is a little south of the snow, and the platform itself is just to the east of those ruins. you can actually see the location i'm talking about at 7:46 when he's talking about the quartz locations. it'll be in the bottom right of the map when he's zoomed in talking about the plateau that would be a good base location if you decided to make one there. I should also point out that that location i'm talking about also has 4 chest that spawn every so often too.
One thing to remember is to buy stuff that uses ingots if you can, like a few berry patches can easily keep you stocked in ammo instead of making it all.
on the first base location there isa actually a skill fruit tree nearby in a small lake between the alpha boss dungeon and the base location, but so far I only have got the green and blue rarity skill fruits from it.
I am having trouble with that super good base with 8 ore & 6 coal nodes. My Pals keep on glitching and incapacitated/injury every time I teleport there.. Do we have to fence the whole perimeter for them not to glitch out?
I put 5 Anubis + 5 Astegon + extra farming watering pal on that base location and it become infine ore & coal farm lol, It such an OP base especially with the background view and anti raid spot
The most ingots I’ve ever gotten to craft at one time was like 75-100 from that same location. Not sure how to get the amount shown here where he’s crafting hundreds at a time.
Having options with Artisan Passive + Mining lvl4 + Transporting lvl3 + Feeding Salads for Bonus Workspeed makes ore farming optimal, just explore for a couple hours and u'll have the box full
I had to set up at the 2nd location in the desert. Only issue is they dont seem to be mining and storing the coal, my number never goes up. I made them everything they need(beds, food, farm). But they dont do anything. My tortise will go spin at the coal and break it, but thats about it. I have reset the pals. Any other help world be appreciated.
Saw a tip that you can place your palbox, place and build a storage box really close to it then you can build the palbox. Havent tried it yet though. Also the refined metal box says pals will prioritze "transporting" to that box.
my pals never put collected materials in chests except for food, they just leave it on the ground, when they do work most of the time they just start working for 2 seconds then stop for 5 hours and go Idle, not even Slacking Off bugged?
i'm planning to use the first location mentioned as my primary base but there is no stone node. is there a way to farm stones without a stone node? i noticed that if i build a stone pit, all my mining pals will go there instead of the metal nodes.
I honestly feel like my pals aren’t gathering fast enough. Or they just glitch out or something. Made a base at the church and though they are mining. It just seems it isn’t fast enough and I mainly have digtoise and Anubis mining. Maybe I’m just impatient lol.
I'm unsure you need every bed to be a large one. From my understanding, 1 large bed and 1 large hotspring is enough to keep everyone's mood and health up. Then just 15 regular straw beds
