For anyone having trouble with servers, I would recommend joining the official Palworld Discord here, and asking for help (or searching for topics) in the server help and dedicated server help rooms. from what I see, all they did was add cross-play. until I see dedicated servers i can run through my xbox (like minecraft servers), they aren't xbox dedicated servers. Step 1 shouldn't be download and host a steam server
From Xbox, no unfortunately. Once you have a server save file on whatever computer you use as a host, however, that new save file can be copied, saved, transferred, etc to your heart's content. But unfortunately that won't help at the moment.
Yeah unfortunately. Crazy how much money this company has made and almost 5-6 months later shit still crashes just like release. Only way to stop the crashing is to turn multiplayer off and play it solo, which sucks if you want to play the game with friends.

Wow, more multiplayer stuff that I can’t enjoy because Xbox is still bugged 5 months later and crashes after 2 minutes of being in multiplayer. Lovely.
In the management panel, go to Startup to edit server name and password etc. To change settings, stop the server, go to Files > Pal > Saved > Config > Linuxserver > Palworldsettings.ini Then change the values in there that you want to change, save it and then restart the server.
I have setup my own berry byte server for xbox with the help of the staff at berry byte and me and my freinds have been able to play and not had any game crashes just one server crash/bug out which i just had to press the "kill" button on my berry byte admin and then i was able to rejoin straight away
the issue i had with the connection failed thing, was that my firewall was blocking it, even with exceptions and port forwarding, i managed to change my port to a slightly different one after resetting my firewall to default settings and making an exception upon running. (make sure you PF the port in UDP) that worked for me.
When I saw that palworld severs were coming to Xbox I assumed that we would get a server hosted by Microsoft for free to access on Xbox. So all this is doing is allow for Xbox players to access paid servers (or self hosted one)?

@@carloscruzpagan and it’s funny because I already have a multiplayer game set up with my friend on PC so it’s not like cross play with PC was impossible before.
There are free ones hosted, under "official servers", if you want one with custom rates or modified stuff you'll either have to host it yourself or rent a server and modify it through the website. Many games have been like this for years. As I said though, there are free official servers if you don't feel like putting in the work to host one.
Ive set up a dedicated server on my pc for xbox.ive done everything opened ports on router on firewall. Done it on windows and linux. I can see my world on the game browser but it wont connect... but when i connect my xboxs wifi to my phones hotspot i can get straight in 😮 so great its a server anyone else can play but me unless i wanna burn through my phone data of course 😮😅 sure if we had the direct ip settings i could put in my pc ip and it would work
Started one on shockbyte and it's been three days and the server still isn't up and running. Keep getting the connection timeout Everytime I try to join. They still have yet to get back to me.
@@TheBeardGuys Lots of people are getting connection timed out when trying to join their dedicated server on xbox. I myself have port forwarded, allowed all rules through firewall, yet still cant join without timing out unless its through my local IP.

Did anyone find a fix for not being able to join their own server? I've set it all up and can see it in the community listing however I cannot join it.
My server is up and running but it doesn't show up on the server list, I have to join by entering the server address. My friends on xbox can't do that, so I don't know how to get them into the game. I'm using a shockbyte server
It’s possible it isn’t a community server on shockbytes end. And don’t forget when searching it’s case sensitive. Also are you using the PC gamepass version? Just curious
@@vezzongaming2230 We got it working eventually, it seems there is severe lag between the server coming online and it actually being searchable by name. It took about an hour of letting it sit online before they could find it. Yes, i'm using Palworld from the Microsoft Store.
i have followed several different videos showing pretty much the same thing and none of them actually show how to use an xbox to connect to the server. this was of no help!!!!!
Set a world to enable co-op, start playing, then invite friends. Then never turn off that Xbox, and reload the game every time it crashes. The PC you use to run a dedicated server doesn't have to be your own, though, you can rent hardware from a variety of services, as mentioned in the video.
Hey everyone! I just got a cheap server for Xbox. Max 12 players! Unfortunately my Xbox is over a friend house till Monday. Please check my server out if you can now and give me feedback on performance and what configures I need to tweak. I do appreciate the feedback y'all will give me so I can improve my server. I increase EXP and Capture Rate so players returning can just level up fast and catch what Pals they like for the new update!
