3 sons! LUVS all the way! I've tried all these and when you pick up your son in the middle of the night to feed him and he's quite wet the quality of the diaper matters a lot. Luvs was the only brand that could hold up to my boys without making messes. About to have a 4th and he or she isnt even here yet and I already know LUVS all the way!
6 years ago pampers was the best in my opinion but now they feel cheap, I’m using parent choice diapers now and they’re really good and no expensive, what I will never change is huggies natural care wipes, they’re the best 👍🏼
You should give the Ross Dress For Less brand of wipes out, one wipe goes a long way and it grabs the messy poo easier than any other wipes we've tried. Little Llama is the brand of wipes. 😁 Even our daycare is recommending them to other parents now as they told us it certainly makes their job that much quicker, easier and thorough.
I am on my second daughter and the stress to get her the right diapers is more stressful than the first. Thank you for such a thorough review ma'am and I appreciate you!
Couldn't agree more. Luvs is better. Plus its not as expensive. Also, as a side note, if your child has a bigger rump, Luvs is the better option as well. My lil one is a big baby, since I switched from Huggies the diaper on the sides has ceased to cut into her on the crease where her thigh meets her bits. Soooo, I love Luvs. For mamas out there with bigger babies, try it out.
I kept wanting to use luvs so bad because of the inexpensiveness, but they always caused a rash. the only brand I can use on him, without him having a rash is pampers, and I didn't need cream. I didn't care for the fit of huggies on my boy, and his rash always persisted with those too. I don't have an issue with the absorbency of pampers, or smelling pee, but everyone's different. I liked everything about luvs except the rash (of course), and the smell (to me) was very strong. I wondered if the fragrance or absorbency chemicals were his cause of irritation. I'm not sure. Just sharing my own experience. obviously, luvs are usually cheaper, so I guess if they work for your baby.
My babies get rashes with luvs too, but only in the first 18 months. When they become toddlers their bums aren't as sensitive and I can use the cheaper luvs.
Thank you for this review! I completely agree. I used the pampers swaddled during the day and it is fine since we change often. But with the nighttime swaddlers my daughter woke up smelling like pee. I just bought Luvs and I love the smell. I also added a sposie booster as well
Nice review. Maybe it just me but I use pamper swaddlers and my sons diapers never are moist on the outside nor do they smell like pee. But I could be that lucky person. Huggies snug and dry caused a rash on my little boy after the first diaper so I went back to pampers and he sleeps great with them. The only blow out he had with pampers was when I was holding with my arm under his butt so that was my fault not his. I haven't used luvs cause I'm not willing to risk what I know works. After the screaming he did with the Huggies, I couldn't bare to hear that again. It'd kill me.
Cory K no it's not just you I've always use Pampers Swaddlers and my son never smells like pee and there is the only ones besides Huggies Swaddlers that don't cause him any diaper rash
Sounds like my daughter. I steered clear from Pampers as long as possible cuz my mom kept trash talking them.. Snug and Dry broke out her skin immediately and Little Movers and Snugglers weren't much better on her skin. I put Swaddlers on her out of desperation one day and bam, no rash. We also don't get any wetness on the outside of the diaper either.
thank you so much for this video im a single dad my son is 6 months old and ive been using pampers swaddles and my baby was smelling like pee i didn’t like that at all i will definitely use LUVS NOW :)
Huggies for the win! Luvs: while it might have paw patrol designs and it might have more diapers for less…it’s ultra leak guards and night lock diapers…sadly aren’t true. Pampers: while it may have 3 channels to absorb to while Huggies only has one….we have found at least that pampers is actually the wettest of them all because with the 3 channels it has to absorb evenly which could take a while if you kept the diaper on them all night long, Huggies actually dried the quickest due to only having one channel…but while it may sag we actually prefer a saggy diaper over wet clothes. We have also learned that Huggies STAYS in place during play because of their double grip strips….Pampers and Luvs just roll over the top for us. So we choose Huggies any day
If you're going to do this experiment this way you also need to pour the water the same way for all 3 diapers. The Huggies you poured most of the water in one spot. Pampers and LUVS are made by the same company. I've used every one of those diapers plus Pampers Cruisers, Huggies Night time, and Huggies Little Movers and LUVS always filled up fastest and would soak through the diaper to the outside and would bust open on the sides and leak the absorbent bead things no matter how much pee was in them. Pampers the cruisers are better than the swaddlers. I hated the Huggies Snug and Dry cuz they didn't fit right and leaked no matter how much pee. In this case the swaddlers for us was better. Then we tried Huggies Little movers and they are better then the others and a step up from Pampers cruisers in my opinion. As for the band at the back of Huggies I've never had issues having to fish it out from behind the kids. Only down side to Little Movers is the extra tabs on the front to help secure the diaper more gets stuck on the diaper some times. As for smell... they all end up smelling like pee or chemicals or both. Best diaper is Huggies night time diapers they absorb so much better then all of the diapers. In the end it's all about personal preference and what fits and works for each individual child.
When a baby pees they don't all pee the same way, some are standing, laying on their back on the side, laying face down and etc. So the water is all going in the same diaper and all were filled the same way in my experiment.
So many details thank you I'm expecting , for months to go thanks for mentioning the stretchy back part and how it's kind of a down fall when baby is sleeping during a diaper Change so HELPFUL 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😇
Robin Pugh it's actually not a down fall in my opinion I love that it has the stretchy back part because when the baby moves around it's a lot more comfortable it just breathes with them and it helps the diaper stay on if the baby is very active huggies is the best and you don't have to move baby to the side when changing him or her like it says on the vid idk why she says that plus they are really soft compared to other brands
Well maybe if you use huggies snug & dry, you can do a video to help moms out that have to move their baby side ways to pull tabs out like I had to. I think u should try and help out all the huggies moms to show them how to pull a tab out that's stuck under a babies back. I really couldn't pull it out without moving my daughter to one side then the other w that brand I guess it was too scrunched together.
You should have either used huggies little snugglers (which are comparable to pampers swaddlers) or pampers baby dry (which are comparable with huggies snug and dry) to make an accurate comparison. Other than that nice video 👍🏻
I completely disagree I hate luvs. The material is crap. I use pampers swaddlers most of the time and my baby never smells like pee. I do like huggies but I have noticed a pee smell with it.
Phoebe Falcon don't get me wrong swaddles were super cute to me. Loved the baby Sesame Street characters and softness but my baby kept smelling like urine even after one or two times she would pee. ☹️ So luvs help eliminate that smell because they smell good and have the plastic covering.
I use the "Target Brand" or "Fred Meyer Brand" during the day, and "Huggies NIGHTTIME" for sleeping. I think this also depends on how often you change your baby. I change mine every 2 to 2 1/2 hours during the day. If you go over 2 1/2 hours, I suggest "Pampers Baby Dry". To prevent leaks, pull the elastic part of the diaper out around baby's legs after you put the diaper on :-)
The target brand I tried out only because once they gave out some samples & they didn't hold up too well for my baby. But I can't recall why, I just remember I didn't end up buying because samples were terrible. I also don't check the times I change my daughter. I usually just feel her pamper on her back side and if it feels fat I know it's time. It's usually just full ONLY half way when I do that. I'd say I use about 7 diapers a day.
A lot of people think I'm crazy and I'm not sure if it's ever happened to anyone, but I was using parents choice brand because of money issues. Those seemed to give him slight irritation even with frequent changes so I went for broke and bought a bag of huggies snug and dry. The whole week he was using that brand he broke out with blotches of red skin that just peeled away. No matter how often he was changed, how much cream I slathered on his bottom they stayed. His father and grandmother accused me of neglecting to change him, but at their home he was put in a different brand. The very next week I switched to Luvs and he's not irritated at all. Has this happened to anyone with a specific type of diaper? So many parents say you aren't changing them enough or wiping enough, but I know this isn't the case. Personally, I'm tired of being accused by his mother and him of not keeping him clean enough. I have two older children and I remember the basic rules, use a warm water cloth instead of wipes on severely irritated skin, eliminate scented wipes, let them air dry, change often, etc.
I've used pampers, huggies, luvs, and parents choice. With parents choice my son would get irritated too. Not just on his bottom, but his lower back too. even though i would frequently change him and use diaper rash cream. I decided to stop using parents choice & just stick to huggies & he hasn't gotten a rash ever since. although I remember reading something online that a woman shared a pictures of her daughter with what seemed like burns blamimg huggies diapers on what happened to her daughter. Every baby is different, their skin is sensitive & some more than others and they all react different. Just try another diaper brand (:
I've been using luvs for the last few weeks. Those are the only the only ones that seem to work. Even his dad uses it at his home so there's no more problems 😊.
You're not crazy. I had rash issues with Huggies and an off brand. I understand too. Accusations will fly off the wall. However, I KNEW it wasn't that. I am a stay at home mom currently and I practically waste diapers by how often I change her. I also noticed that I had to use aquaphor in the really fatty folds that don't see much air because those areas stay moist and the petroleum keeps it out. Then I have to use destin or a zinc oxide cream ( I go for 20% or higher) around the rump and the front side. Warning you NOT to use creams in the fatty folds. That is because moister loves it there and the creams promote moisture since they have it themselves. ONLY use petroleum based products in the folds, that includes the butt cheeks where it tends to rub together...who knew there was such a science to it. Hope it helps you out and any other mama reading out there!
Miranda Roney yes, I used a cheapy brand from WALMART and baby got red spots and switched her right back to Luvs. She's now 2 and we are still using Luvs. No leaks and now I'll be potty training soon so I'm looking for diff types of pull ups to compare for a future video!
We got all 3 brands for our daughter, Huggies and luvs is where it’s at. Pampers are nice and softer out of the bunch, but I’m not a fan of the Velcro. I’ve had them come loose a few times.
This blows my mind. Completely opposite for my child! Pampers and Luvs blow up when full and Huggies stays thinner when full. We always have blow outs with Luvs. I do like the smell of Luvs but it gives my baby rashes.
Is the Luvs the best ? Even its plasticky? Or because it's cheap ? And affordable . The thing u should consider if the baby get rushes and uncomptable .
jovie velasco oh and of course because my baby had no rash at all!!!! So she was comfy & my son as well when I used Luvs on him too! Perfect diaper for baby in my opinion.
I came here looking because walmarts parents choice gave my boy a bad rash. I figured I'd switch to Pampers but I had 3 blow outs and I'm not even half way through the box. I am not an expert but I think it's because it doesn't have the stretchy backside.
Oh goodness!!! That's horrible! Well Luca doesn't have a stretchy back side but my daughters always stayed on well, never leaked, never left her smelling like urine, and never gave her rash. It's all up to baby and how they react or how much they potty. Good luck! U can always put them away for emergencies when u run out of luvs for a day or so.
Ok you can't compare Huggies Snug and Dry with Pampers Swaddlers. You gotta compare Huggies Little Snugglers with the Pampers Swaddlers. They are the premium selections of each brand and I have used them all and have stuck with Little Snugglers through kids #3 - #5!
Okay you can compare any pamper that you would like to. There is not RULE of a comparison vid. lol but if you'd like to make a video of the ones you think should have been done, try so you can get a few views.
The test shows how they leave your baby skin wet and also the outside of pampers gets moist in the test as it also does so on your baby. Tested them all on baby before doing this video and in my opinion LUVS was the best as it shows on test (on table) as well.
Adri Loya Wow, Im just surprised in how wet the Pampers were not just on the inside but the outside as well. I thought a big name brand like Pampers would have worked a lot better than that.
Adri Loya And what is funny is that Luvs is made by the same company as Pampers, and out performs them in you test. So are you a Luvs mom for life now?
My favorite so far are the rascal and friends (the green diapers) I don't like luvs because of the plastic sound (I feel that I put a bag on my baby) and I don't even know whyi don't like pampers or Huggiess but the couple of times I used them I was not really satisfied...so far rascal are my favorite the I can give a chance to pampers if the store is out of rascal.
im going to buy luvs this time around because its cheap and i think it was great just my son peed everywhere at night and i had to change his sheets a lot but hopefully with the new one arriving this month i can make it work every baby is different plus im pretty much on a budget right now at the moment
luvs does not smell like powder. it smells like pee. all diapers will smell like pee once peed in. its not a cloth diaper. theyre not natural. theyre bound to smell like something weird once mixed with another substance. i love luvs for nighttime. but they smell twice as bad once used than the other diapers. but they are very absorbent. the pee strip isnt necessary if you feel the diaper but if your child has sensitive skin the sooner you know to change the diaper the better.
I noticed in luv when you poured the water you distributed it from back to front but the other two you only poured the water in the front which is the right way cuz the diaper usually only gets wet in the front
Last I know all babies pee comes out in different ways so that don't make any sense to me. Some babies lay and others will be walking during the time they go potty. Either way the pamper is filled all the way in the experiment. It just showed the moisture that was left on table and thickness, not just the front thickness of back portion. So since they are all filled it doesn't matter. Point is, no moisture came out of LUVS
Rissa Jean and why would u say that? This video is just a comparison of any brand that I’ve used and some other moms have used as well. If u used another one then,...make a video and help some other moms out who use the one of ur choice.
We use pampers swaddlers and love them. They're the most priciest, but I figure if I were a baby wearing these which would I prefer? The most soft and comfortable of course. IDK why you would let your baby walk around with 1 cup worth of pee in their pamper?
SimpleBeauty of course no one would let their baby walk around with 1 cup worth of pee. It’s the amount used in the experiement obviously. All moms I’m assuming change their babies often to avoid any diaper rash or uncomfortable feeling. And yes swaddlers was incredible for my babies when they were first born but not all parents can afford those and not all babies could use that brand due to rashes and etc so if your baby could then that’s great. 👍🏻
Babies use what parents decide on, they don't love any specific type. But if u love huggies, then I'm sure ur baby won't mind wearing them for you. I must admit the cute Mickey Mouse is cute but not cute enough for me to decide to keep buying. So LUVS is what I chose.
I would never waste money on Huggies, worst diaper by far! They leaked! Pampers was too expensive for me. Luvs was the cheapest n worked the best! I used Luvs for both of my boys!😘
My old neighbor daughter gets breakout when she first used Huggies diaper. Then they switched to Luvs diaper and never had a breakout again. Luvs must be friendly diapers.
You should have used buggies little snugglers since that's the comparable to pampers swaddlerd. Snug j dry are the cheapest buggies just like pampers baby dry
I remember a few yrs ago on yur LUVS Diaper review when I asked about LUVS not having a Wetness Indicator…That yu patted Baby’s Bottom of Diaper to check to see if Baby needs to be changed. NOW…New LUVS designs have a Wetness Indicator.
@@adriloya9117 thanks i came here cause i want to see the difference between them i like the swaddlers cause of the material the huggies snug and dry i hate them im just using them cause my sis gave me a box but i hate them cause with boys all pee stays in the front and he wet his clothes and when he poops omg rge poop comes out on the sides and today is my first time trying luvs lets see how they work on him and if they are good i will continue with them cause they are way cheaper and i need to safe some money to buy him other things
Flower Annan yes they need to make a pee strip on them. I noticed some boxes smelled good and some packed smelled like plastic. I just had to get lucky choosing a pack.
A baby is not going to pee the same amount as a full cup of water , and if there is enough pee equivalent to a cup of water you should be changing your baby more often
Justine Overmyer of course all babies pee different amounts. I compared w the same amounts of water since I didn’t have actual pee measured to use lol all glasses were filled the same to show differences. No one uses pee and no one measures how much pee a baby pees so this is the best I could do. 👍🏼
Pampers swaddlers were the best i think they go up to a size 6 now I don't like the pampers baby dry the gel explodes if they get to full so I liked the huggies over nights for bedtime but my baby was real sensitive so pampers were the best for us they didn't break him out
I had small business sale diaper cake my customer complain about diapers huggies so I changed it to target brand now, thanks for make this video I probably use luvs for myself I'm 17weeks prengnat, 1 thing about luvs just low court diapers and cost, I buy target brand for $15 come 120 diapers luvs don't had that to sad
I used pampers for my baby I didn’t like he smelled like pee all the time the luvs are amazing and they never leak and they feel so soft my baby is 27 months now and he still uses them they are amazing
I don't recall which other video? Did I make another one? I think I had another one i deleted but not many people were interested in it. I think it was about over night diapers,...i can't remember. I'll have to look for it. I can repost if you'd like.
Hi. I'm Marta and I work at the Łukasiewicz Research Network in Poland. I'm developing a model that automatically generates people's feedback. Could I use your video about diapers?
Mine he make a mess when he uses huggies and pampers never hold his pee overnight i have to change him at least once in the middle of the night now im trying luvs lets see how it works on him
I hate pampers! It leaks all the time, and my child moves and kicks a lot so it gets loose and makes a mess! Huggies stays on him and is easier to put on and off. Never tried Luvs. I should try it lol
Blair Button yes you should if you'd like to save. Hope u give them a try! They also have a win diapers contest on site if your baby does good u should totally join the contest and you could get free luv diapers for the year!
